    Hi,

I am hoping to get a little feedback from users that may have a Chromebook.

I am thinking of getting one, I realize they dont have hard drives like normal laptops, but do they work well enough to properly play this game. Other than paying bills, watching netflix, email, that is really all I use my computer for, But if it wont work well with this game, it will be a waste of money to buy one. I like to have a backup computer, and I was thinking of getting one of these as they are also small and compact and would be good to throw in my bag when having doctor visits, short trips etc.

I dont really want a tablet as I know there is issues with puffin and I also like my mouse, I hate the touch screens. I want to work with a mouse. But some websites also make it sound like you have to use apps like a tablet.

So I guess Im trying to figure out if it would be worth buying Chromebook for a backup/traveling or if it just will not work well. My laptop I have now works well, but I dont want to get to a point if something happens to my nice laptop that I wont have a back up that will properly play this game.

The only other thing I really do with my computer is play bigfish and gamehouse games, which I realize that those Chromebooks have a tiny harddrives and to play those types I might would have to insert a SD card or external hard drive to have the space for those, but I just dont know if the chrome books actually work and if I would be dissapointed with one.

Is it even possible to connect a mouse to a tablet? Will they run the game? I would consider a tablet if I can use a mouse. I have alway had a laptop, but my husband is sick and I spend alot of time now in drs offices, sitting hours for testing, and sometimes he is even admitted, I would like something that is smaller than my laptop as I love my bigger 17 inch laptop, but it gets very heaving trying to carry it around in my laptop bag thru the large hospital.

If this is not the right place to post this I apologize, I tried to figure out which place as the correct place to post.

Any feed back will be mostly appreciated

Don't have any knowledge of Chromebook, but I bought a Lenovo Yoga Tablet several years ago for similar reasons and I have loved it. There are more iterations than there were when I bought mine. I bought a 10. You can use it as a tablet or you can get a bluetooth mouse, but it's a PC, if you will, so no app crap. Best wishes for you and your husband.

I am working off a samsung chromebook... my second. I have had no problems other than to tell it, that it is ok to allow the Flash player to use. On games that require real precision I wait to use the home computer. Other than that, it is a great platform and option.

I have taken mine to many of my wife's doctors appointments... there's always free wi-fi. And there is "the Cloud" for your business or tech work.

Thanks so much!! We did get a little hope from the new Drs in the beginning of the month.

I finally made a decision, and chickened out LOL, I went with a cheaper smaller windows laptop, one without all the bells and whistles, but one with the actual hard drive and all, was too scared to try the chromebook, and was too cheap to try the more expensive tablet that ran windows. But it seems to work just right for me, that is all that matters I guess. I guess I am too old and too set in my ways to try the new stuff LOL.

I haven't read all this thread, just seen the question... I have a hp chromebook 10" it is running windows 10. I have been playing my farms very happily for the last year and a half, so my answer to you is YES. I'm not sure about the other games you play but because there is nothing downloaded for the play of Farmerama it works wonderfully.

PS just read some more of the post... Sending healing thoughts and prayers for your husband and understanding and happy thoughts for you.
