Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the "Viking Saga" Event in this Feedback thread. We are looking forward to capturing your initial reaction to the event, as well as the final opinion after participating in the event.

Please be sure to bring arguments for supporting your statements, simple comments saying you like it or hate it will not help the Team understand what goes great, and what needs to be looked into, when planning future events.

The FAQ of the Event can be found here. If you have any questions, please use the General Issues section or the Technical Issues section for technical problems - this thread is for feedback only. Thank you for understanding.

We are looking forward to your feedback!

i can only hope you have got the drops rate correct for the game to function freely and not have us waiting around for the drops to materialize like the pirate event just finished.
if not, you'll just prove to all of us that player enjoyment has been sidelined in the pursuit of financial gain. then you will see just how players feel about that!

Welcome players to yet another ripoff version of a formerly successful event!

Keep in mind that the Viking Saga 9 required 410 event plants and 19 drops. This "new, improved" version 10 requires a whopping 815 event plants and 55 drops. Just another example of how BP is gouging the players who are foolish enough to keep playing events.

My advice? Keep your money in your pockets and start looking for another outlet for your gaming pleasure.

Thank you for your initial feedback :)

Please be aware that just glancing at the milled product only does not give you the full picture. The length of time to harvest, how many fields are available to use, items that provide drops, etc are all factors in event planning.

In version 9, the crop could only be planted on the main field and drops only from main field as well.

This version, the balancing is greater as crop is planted on 2 fields and drops come from all 3 main lands.

I hope you can enjoy the event as you have previously :) May you hit the bullseye!

I always enjoy this mini-game but for the first time that I can remember, the graphics are not up to standard. I am mainly talking about Ingrid's throwing - sometimes she shows the result, other times she doesn't. Very quick and not at all smooth. Sorry, but it has to be said, not what we are used to in this particular event. :(

Thanks for the public service announcement but requiring me to do more and take up more fields and resources to do it is still a loser for me. But I understand that you are trying to do your job and none of my anger is ever directed at the mods because we do appreciate all that you do and I know it's kind of a thankless job, particularly nowadays.

I think that today's requirements are decidedly rather horrid.:wuerg:

I'm enjoying this event, I enjoyed the last version too. I have however found the graphics glitchy. You often don't get to see the result of your throw and have to rely on the side bar listing.
I like the use of the 3 fields for drops.

These comparisons are, quite frankly, embarrassing.

Yes, V9 had lower requirements overall compared to V10, but it offered an EP-only CR as the grand prize and random rewards via crates for the bullseye bonuses, whereas V10 offers a CR providing useful items via crates and allows us to choose the prizes we want in the event shop. Two very different events despite being part of the same series with the same mini-game.

And in V1, the requirements per viking broth were lower because we had to purchase the EP-only CR + required givers with the star coins we earned. The full set costed 1,650 star coins in total, which I guess would translate to approximately 110 games if you hit the bullseye on the 5th attempt in every game. In contrast, V10 awards the CR + givers automatically after only playing 25 games.

    V1 (excluding first free game):
109 games * 290 golden roots per viking broth = 31,610 golden roots
109 games * 15 drinking horns per viking broth = 1,635 drinking horns

    V10 (excluding first free game):
24 games * 815 golden roots per viking broth = 19,560 golden roots
24 games * 55 drinking horns per viking broth = 1,320 drinking horns

Overall requirements are actually lower in V10 compared to V1 if you ignore the differences in available land between the two versions as well as all other factors making this a meaningless comparison, and we now get a minimum of 400 star coins (again, if you hit the bullseye on the 5th attempt in every game) with which we can purchase additional rewards in the event shop.

But in reality, it's impossible to compare the two because it's hard to determine how many games you actually had to play in V1 to get enough star coins for the CR set.

There are plenty of things one can legitimately criticize in this version without cherry-picking numbers and presenting them out of context...

    I like:
    Drops in balance.
    Prizes in balance.
Every round the opportunity for a nice box.

    I do not like:
The cloud row is slowly renewing. (reset time 120h)

This is exactly the kind of task you are comfortable doing. Balanced.
Challenging are nice at times, but the main focus is on these. :)

Ingrid has always been one of my favorites. Everything pointed out above is correct - the numbers are much higher than last time, but less than some other times; the prizes are better, in my opinion, than in the past. One of the things I like most about this type of event is the ability to choose what rewards we get with our coins. The drop rate was great. In fact, I got behind on crops because I grew long things overnight when it was not necessary. So thank you for providing a completable event. However... It still irks me that there is no way for the average person to finish this without using 1x1 and CAC. That should be the baseline, and using the enhancements should be just that - an improvement, not necessary to even try. It has been YEARS since I have done a single harvest without CAC and harvester, but that is my choice, and should remain so, rather than being intrinsic to even having a shot at doing events. There are plenty of ways to make things more interesting (read: challenging) without rendering them impossible.
