They are open for only 12 hours on Saturday. So get ready!

It seems we seldom get time on these Moonlight Fields without another event going on there. What are your goals? How do you get ready to use that short amount of time?

    Here's my list of priorities
    1. Make sure I plant the longest growing crop right before the fields close.
    2. Check for any missing animals or trees and try to get what I need to get them from Jack's shop (I'm pretty sure I have at least one of everything).
    3. Check Farmer Society Quests - I have several close to completion, so I'll try to make some progress there. I usually use the Full Moon Field for crops and the Mushroom Forest for the trees/stables I need to complete Farmer's Society Quests. I know I have all the animals/trees placed that are still needed for open quests, so I just need to make sure to harvest those as often as possible. And figure out what crops I want to plant!
    4. What animal feed do I need, especially to complete Quests.
    5. Build up stock in the barn.

I'd love to hear your strategies/priorities. So much of the time I hear what someone else is doing and think - what a great idea, I should be doing that!

Hope everyone can meet their goals for this short event!

You have a wise plan Solatido:) that is pretty much what I do, always stock my barn first, then go to Jacks shop to get needed trees and pens. I like to do 2 of each pen and 3 of each tree. I also try to re-sock my barn of any crops I might use making food for the pens or buying items from Jacks shop!:music:I too always try to make it back to put long crop on the 2 fields before the time ends and we get locked out! lol I love:inlove: my MM fields, and I hope everyone will work to reach their own goals!;)

Just my luck. August preview said end of month not this Saturday. This Saturday is my anniversary party. Guess I will have to finish opening Mushroom Forest later.

I have been focused on opening the forest. Keeping a ready amount of crops to make food for my cats and slimes to open the forest. I have also been trying to make a few givers for the moonlight park. I was reminded last month by someone here in the forums that the Moonlight park is open 24/7, unlike the fields. I currently have 6 Potent Portraits. One of my goals is to fill the Moonlight Park. This is a lot of extra EP space I am not taking advantage of.

Then I'm going to be looking at expanding my stables, I currently only have Cat Fairies and Slimes to open the forest and adding a few workshops.

    Happy Anniversary, Sue!

They are giving us this one day MM because of the Gift & Trade - we have to access our fields if we want to pull something up to trade.

I won't be surprised if when end of month comes and they give us a second MM as was advertised.

We're also about to head into fall. There's a chance the powers that be have big plans and don't want to do the full weekend at the end of the month because we're about to get a very long (a month or so) MM...due to fall events. My memory isn't what it used to be, but I think last fall we had MM for the entire month of October and maybe part of September, too.

Things I can advise: if you don't have all the necessary items to open the mushroom forest, keep growing the crops, trees, etc. that you need to do that - having that fully open is a huge boon especially if we get that long fall MM - one field for event crop, one for regular MM farming!

If you don't have a Midnight Oak - keep a watchful eye on the pick-a-tree sprees - they have been on offer during those mini-events before and likely will be again.

If you have stalk rows that shorten time for tree mulch, save them (or time their usage) to use when we have MM - then harvest and use tree mulch on the Grave Candle Cacti immediately upon the start of the MM. If you have enough buffs that extend the effectiveness of the tree mulch, you can get the Grave Candle Cacti down to about 5 days or a week - and thus squeak out a second harvest if the MM runs that long for an event.

Thank you! 25 years seems to have flown by.

I have grown everything I need to get it open. Just need about 20 Slimes and 40 cats to finish. I refer to that memory thing as "fuzzy logic."

The Midnight Oak was kindly donated by the most awesome people during the last G&T event! The people here are so wonderful!

I also have a Grave Candle. I got it in a random Moonlight tree I got as an FSQ reward. I mulch and SSG that every time Moonlight opens. o_Ooo! I just remembered! I have one CR buff +1 tree revenue, that should work on Moon light trees too. THANKS for the memory jog!

get onto the market and buy products/craftables that shorten time for your mm crops, stables and trees if you cant make them. they are pretty cheap to purchase and can shorten growing times by 20% ...and save your pet (fright night bat eggplant- gives +1 everything) and cloud rows for when the mm starts to utilize their buffs too.
things to look out for at the market : crystal ball, sanguine cocktail, silver flame incense & terror bouquet.
    happy farming :)

I do not have any pets yet.

I do have a few charges on a Mighty Mower left. I also have some Crypt Vases, Terror Bouquets, and a couple of Vampire serums.

I also have a few of those coupons for extra EP, TEP, Harvest, Revenue stuff but I am scared to use them. Mostly because of language. I know that sounds strange but a harvest bonus, is it just for crops (which is what I think of when I hear the word harvest) or is it everything? I would love to have better definitions as to what they do or don't do.

I will have to look at the other products you mentioned. I am guessing they are the 4-6% discount items.

If you have any MM related Crates in your inventory, now is a good time to open them. Terror Bouquets and other buffs can often be found in them. If nothing else, you may get crops and tree fruit for MM quests.

sueperkins - happy anniversary! the revenue buffs are pretty specific. If it says harvest bonus, it's EVERYTHING. If its just field crops, animals, products, it says so. If it's just EP, it says so. You are always welcome to IGM me and ask, if you want! Any opportunity you have to get pets, GET THEM! they are highly useful, everything from stars and golden bananas, to EP bonuses, to +1 on a variety of things... Just like in real life, pets add a lot to your farming life! :)

solatido - I'm a lonnnnng time player, 10 years! and all my MM FSQs are done except the newest one, which I expect to complete on Saturday, with the help of a few bonuses to get extra animals... so I focus on anything immediate, like an event; then keeping my stocks up to 10000 for crops, 5000 for tree fruits, 500 for animals, and 100 for products. Like you, I try to remember to always leave the longest crops overnight at the end of a MM session, in case we get an event that calls for drops, and in between, I keep my crop menu set to "amount" so I always know the crops I have the least of, and can do a combined analysis of "least crops/time until I can harvest again" to determine what I should plant in between. If I'm all good on all crops, and it's a lengthy MM, I'll put out animals - on this one, since I'm in good shape but need some animals, I'll probably put out all animals while I'm at work, then activate harvest bonuses and stable speed bonuses, and put out whatever I can get harvested before MM ends, and then go back to crops for the "off" time. I haven't even looked to see when MM starts - I have an early morning Saturday, so if I can't get into the fields before I go, I'll assess time left when I get home mid-afternoon and see if I need to revise my strategy!

Starts at 2 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. for me. Ugh. So I'll get one harvest in the morning - will harvest and replant the 12 hour crop. Just in case...

I'll have time to harvest what I put down last time, and do one planting. Then off to bed for me to get some much needed beauty sleep, and no more MM. These short events are a bit of a pain when you live near the bottom of the planet

@sueperkins Happy Anniversary! 25 years is such a big deal - many don't make it that long nowadays! I hope your party is very special. It may be slow going, but you will eventually get where you want to be with the Moonlight area.

@-matselleste- I just checked and I've been at this for 10 years also! But I still have 10 quests to complete. 3 of them are very close, and many of them need trees and/or animals, so they'll get there eventually!

@PrairieMaiden23 Good tip about using tree mulch on Grave Candles. I also just put on Suzy's Super-grow and I will get 8 per harvest instead of 4!

If anybody needs anything, be sure to post it. I'll send if I have extra, and I'm sure many others also will do that!

I am not doing much this time. I leave all trees and stables on mushroom, harvest them when they are ready. Usually I tear down all grave candles and Midnight oaks to give space for quicker ones, but now I let them stay, because I might be late to place them again. It is not once or twice, when they are still in my storage, when Moonlight mania ends.
My goal is to harvest some spinalwood and squidlings to FSQ. I wonder should I make more of those trees and stalls or not. I made already one more of both of them. Otherwise I plant seeds which suits best for my timetable and which I believe I'll need. Animal feeds takes a lot of plants.

I've been playing over 11 years now and once I was sick during very long event, where some event crop was also grown in Moonlight fields in some stage. I was very lucky with wheel and had all kind of harvest bonuses, so I was able to do most of FSQs at that time. I spend some time lying on the sofa with laptop and harvesting crops. Now I need only spinalwood blossoms and squidlings for quests.

Oh I completely missed the MM last time but I have a couple of farmhouse quests that I want to finish. Otherwise I just stock up on crops and feed and put the trees and animals out for the weeks in between.
