    I am unclear exactly what the bonus is for
    this cloud row ( times the EP ) so I can decide
    whether my time & resources worth achieving

    The cloud row gives a 100% EP bonus (takes a silver slot and lasts 24 hours unless you use a PinkiePiePie in which case it lasts about 30 hours). They are nice bonuses, and because they use the silver slot, they leave gold slots open for other things. As always, with any event - it's up to each farmer to figure out whether or not the small rewards and/or the big rewards are worth the effort and donation of goods...     As dumbunny has stated, the EP bonus lasts for 24 hours and takes a silver buff slot.
