I like the Alpine Valley ready signs SO much better than any others in the game! Wonderful. I agree with the above that the Valley just gets better and better!

Well done on making the top right tabs active so we can now access the Forum, send gifts, etc. Improving all the time! :inlove:

EDIT: Although on the whole, things have improved dramatically since the introduction of Edelwiess Valley, I have noticed that some actions performed on the main farm (involving several fields, though mainly noticed on Magical Glade and Crystal Fields) are undone when I visit the Valley. I thought maybe I was mistaken, perhaps just forgot, but I particularly checked today and the last action (PF on Slider) was not applied when I returned, no PF. :(

This is not isolated and has been happening for a few days now.

Why is it that with every other function, the Alpine Valley just simply won't let you harvest if you have too many in storage, but when it comes to Misc., which includes the ever elusive key to open more functions, it simply.... tells you after the fact that you have lost this many of this and that many of that?

This has become increasingly worse. I find that watering and adding manure has not been applied when I know I have done it and checked it. Very frustrating.

The latest and greatest improvement "you can cancel the production but you will lose the resources" is absolutely useless. If cancel is introduced it should function as cancel: nothing happened, like the mill of the main farm. Otherwise it is not cancel anymore. It is abort.

And here I thought I am going crazy... thinking that I did something only to find out that it was not done. Thank you @illy1996 for confirming my sanity xD

Made it to level 16 in EV, had all the badges needed to max out the european larch and after opening all the dots I find out that 1 european larch cone is worth less than 1 alpine larch?! Really??!! The european is harder to craft because of the hand pruners, wood and manure needed and we get less in return??!! Once we start harvesting, we have to keep on growing them because they are required to fill in the clients' wishlists!>:( The same happens with the tart & summer cherry trees! Is it me or is this crazy nonsense??!

Strikoroba is right too, I open my game, harvest so givers manually in the pet park, go to EV, come back and they're still ready to be harvested. Now everytime I harvest givers by hand, I go to another field hit F5 and go back just to see if it's been harvested...

So do we seriously have to pay for separate assistants on every field of Edelweiss valley? Please confirm...

The assistants can be purchased individually for a short time using Barnyard Bills, for 30 days using a payment option, or can be a renewable subscription.

You also have the option to purchase the assistants as a package. You will find them under the Service tab when shopping in the red basket:

You can choose between 30 days or a renewable subscription.

overall I really love the changes to Edelweiss Valley. We can get far more results from converting things, the new plants are pretty, and in general, it's smooth, BUT! As said above, if we buy the assistant, we should get the assistant! Also, the way that the new plants take multiple spots but grow at different rates makes it really, really difficult to properly utilize the space available!

After 24 hours of play, I have to agree with the other statements that with the new format for converting things, storage is a real problem! I can't empty my slots to make the other kind of things that I need! Also, formerly, if we made one type of an item, we had a chance to get another type, and that is gone, which is a big negative.

With the new features, there is not enough storage. The fact that we now have to start over with brand new badges is maddening, especially since we don't get extra storage to go along with the new badge requirements. We end up throwing away inventory to make space because there is nothing to do with it. Can't sell it, can't trade a lot of it in, don't have the room for it. There needs to be more balance between the storage capacity, the conversion ratios, the conversion times and the requirements for regular farm inventory for building. Edelweiss valley is just going to be a huge drain on my main farm.

Plus, we're all buggy again. Had to restart the app three times this morning. Switching from Edelweiss fields and from Edelweiss valley back to the main farm hangs.

I also am disappointed with the changes - lumber and humous now require far too much to be feasible for me. They take about now 10 times as many items to craft. :wuerg:
Think that may be me finished in the Valley. :(

I'm still a little confused but I am trying to go with it as other fellow farmers seemed to have grasped the changes (I'm always a little behind the crowd!). It's a question of we shall see ... :p

What I love about the new update of EV are:

    - the graphics (super cute)
    - mechanics (not hard to understand)
    - new things to do and the requirements to craft seeds seem reasonable
    - a second free slot to craft the base materials
    - the new possibilities of crafting higher amout of base material overnight
    - milling time between the apricot tree and alpinerose are the same
    - the fact that we can access both the tree and seed menus in both section
    - LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of the Sunflower Hill extension :inlove:

    What I don't like:

    - clients' orders asking for things that we cannot grow because seeds need to be opened with the new crop badges (levels in EV gives us access to the new seeds but we need to harvest alpineroses for ages before getting them)
    - client's order asking for tree fruits handling out the new seeds boosters (there's no logic in it)
    - crafting with the higher requirements/times can lead to an overload of one particular material and block the possibility to continue playing (ex. the 8h lumber milling can give between 52/64/74 or 86 items)
    - introducing new boosters/drops for crops alongside the ones for trees (basically BP just halves our inventory space because the crop and tree items have been shoved in the same inventory slots)
    - fully matured trees give out tons of kindlings (what for? This is THE worse inventory filler ever with no use whastoever!)
    - the principal of the alpine seeds taking 4 plots with 4 different times seems crazy if all the other seeds require 4 plots too we'll need to wait for the fully matured seeds to be collected first
    - Sowing/collecting and trashing seeds/flowers are in the same location on the harvester wheel making it easy to just trash what we just sowed
    - not a second free slot was offered to recycle for AEP
    - having to trash tree branches, ambers and even some tree boosters to make room in inventory without having the possibility to recycle them instead

There are some wonderful additions, as well as some changes to Edelweiss Valley that are positive :)

Love that we can craft materials in larger batches as previously it was very time intense. Now, however, those batches are large enough that it can easily overwhelm the inventory limits.

I appreciate the extra free slot :)

I appreciate the possibility of Sunflower Hill (someday) :)

The biggest hurdle is that as a level 20 player, I have customers asking for crops that I cannot open yet due to needing badges. The first crop has such a low value that it takes frequent harvesting. I have harvested steadily since the release and should have enough for making the first badge. Many badges are needed so I can't make any forward progress with AEP from customers as all those resources need to go to opening seeds and expanding the inventories and playfield. We shouldn't be asked for items we haven't opened yet. Additionally, the quantities requested/required are too high.

The most confusing part for me is the point of having plants with multiple plots with multiple times. You cannot do anything until the final crop plot is ready.

Overall, good to have something new to do. Some of it just seems more complicated than necessary.

I haven't really bothered with Edelweiss valley because holy crap this is complicated, and i'm only level three. I came back because of the new playing field but I might give up again. It looks like it's easy to craft something that you are unable to collect because the storage space is full. I have made alpenrose seeds and I have no idea where they can be planted. The next badge needs 11000 tree fruits and I can store up to 900...? and they're the only thing I can sell the customer at the moment.
i am so confused and got depressed by the faqs.

Not worth it at the moment, i may try again during the summer

You need to go into the path of wisdom to craft the tree badge level 1, it doesn'T require 11000 tree fruits, but the exchange value of 11000 from tree fruits (apricots are worth just above 20, so about 550 in the first time).

The sowing beds for the alpenrose are located in the "crop field" in the right bottom corner of the Edelweiss Valley map. Once you enter there, you'll see 3 rows of soil where you can plant them. Beware: the seeds occupy 4 plots in a straight line, if you sow it and there's no more space for the other flowers you'll loose them.

thanks... the crop field is locked until level 8 so can't try it yet.

Bigpoint, don't you think that it is a bit weird to be able to make seeds that I can't use for anything until five levels later...? But OK, you guys do you...
