April Fool's event not working

This feels like a strange thing to complain about, but the April Fool's event does not seem to be working for me. I got one message in the 'news' tab and the event shop is there, but apparently other people are seeing spawn characters that aren't there for me. I've changed all the settings I can think of that might be causing a problem, and cleared my browser cache (I don't know how to clear the standalone client cache, and I've tried both the browser and internet versions of the game without results).

The characters are not spawning on all fields. I have seen them on main field, green meadow and baha plantation.

They won't spawn on any of those 3 fields for this farm, or my other two main farms. I have one baby farm where they will spawn on the 3 fields shooger.sweet mentioned.

 

I have checked for them on all of those fields. I have watched the main field for 5 minutes in case they were slow to spawn. There are no characters spawning, only the normal reindeers which cannot be clicked on. Any ideas?
-edit- I don't know if this is related or not, but the 'news' tab is indicating that there is a new thing to read. I've clicked through all the options but the (1) won't go away.

 

I, too, have no spawning on any field. It is 11:10 PM here. Could that be the reason?

 

I have no spawning characters on any of my fields either, it is 12:58am here in the USA . I do have a clown with a red ballon (top right) that when you click on it, it takes you to the most epic shop where I have 20 star coins to spend!

 

The issue was due to the Farms that deactivated the spawning characters from the December event. The Game Team will enable them for all players soon. As soon as we have further confirmation we will let you know.

I have 40 coins credited and the clown is waiting patiently with his red balloon, but no spawning characters (if indeed that is what we should see).

I have a red exclamation mark in my tab, but nothing new or unread.

The spawn character issue has been fixed in WebGL (browsers) but the Standalone client still needs time to be fixed.

Please try a browser of your choice to play the April Fool's event.

@istanboy - once you have collected all the spawn characters' messages and the star coins, they will stop. Sounds like you completed the event
