    Howdy Farmers,

We are happy to inform you that a new project will go live for the Cinema! This was implemented as a solution for the lack of movies.

The project will start tomorrow and will run until the end of February.

The FAQ can be found here.

    Howdy Farmers,

Bigpoint and the Heidelberg Collaboratory for Image Processing (HCI) are starting a broad evaluation to help prevent worldwide road accidents.

According to the World Health Organization, 1.24 million people die annually in car accidents.

Automatic emergency breaks which react within fractions of a second can be a future key factor in reducing the number of accidents. But driver assistance systems such as these are far from being reliable, as no automated algorithm is currently sensitive enough to detect
pedestrians on the road with significant accuracy.

To change this, Farmerama players are able to interact with street-scene animations. By pointing at cars and persons shown in videos, which are available to watch in the in-game Farmerama Cinema, you will help the HCI software learn how to reliably distinguish such objects.

    Your Farmerama team
