    Farmer's Market
    market.jpe

    General Information
    • You can enter and start buying and selling at the market from Level 3.
    • You can buy and sell almost anything at the market, crops (including what your trees produce), animals, animal feed and manure
    • Items not sold at the market are Super Grow, Power Feed and water
    • Items are listed by price per unit from lowest to highest regardless of the amount being sold or the total price.
    • There is only one market to browse, however, this does not mean that all players are on the same market.

    General overview of the tabs

The various items on each tab, can now be sorted...

    Buying an item:

    Selling an item:

    Viewing Offers:

    market 4.jpg
~ When placing an offer at the market, be aware of the other offers that are already there, take a look at the overview before placing your offer in case you place one that's much too high, it may never sell.

~ When offering items at the market you will pay a 10% market fee (that's 10% of the price you are wanting to sell for) at the time of placing your produce up for sale, you will not pay again when and if it does sell. This is like paying the market stall holder for the use of their stall, it's their cut, just as you make money by selling your produce, they make money by hiring the use of their stall, the stall holders are non-player characters (NPC's). Prices that are listed with decimals will be rounded according to the market's internal mechanisms, so please double check your fee/listing price.

~ The default price that you see when you offer an item for sale is the market recommended price. This starts with the barn value of that particular good, and it will stay the same while the selling price is under the barn value. If current sales take place at higher prices than the barn value, the recommended price will increase dynamically. The algorithm has never been shared, but the price is reflecting the dynamic nature of the market and can vary as explained above.

There is now a rune on the Tree of Wisdom that will give you +75% over maximum.

After seven days any unsold items will be returned to your barn; you will not get the 10% commission returned.

~ When viewing your market stall to see your produce, you will see what you have placed on the market and how many lots of each item are there, this is what the number of offers refers to, not how many people have offered money for your produce.

~ If your produce is not in your market stall anymore then it has sold and the money should soon be credited to your CC total.

~ To unlist an item, simply go to your market stall and select the item you want to remove from sale and then click 'delete' you will not get back the 10% commission fee.

    Buying

~ You can use the market to help you complete your farm house orders. If you are missing one or two items from an order then the market can be a great place to help you top it up and get the order out faster.

~ It is important to consider how many CC you will get in total from filling a farm house order to see if it is worth purchasing those last few items from the market. Work out if you will still make a profit by spending your hard earned CC. Cost the approximate price of what you need to buy using the market overview and deducting this from the total offered by the customer at your farm house. If you are still going to make CC then it might be worth it, it's all about personal choice as to how many CC is an acceptable profit.

~ You cannot use the market to help you fulfill the farmers society quests that are timed, all these items you must produce yourself and do so in the quest time available.

~ If there is an untimed quest in the Farmers Society then you can use items from the market to fill these.

~ Items bought on the market such as apples (and other produce from trees) are not plantable, they are just one of that type of produce; trees must be purchased from the tree nursery in the city; special tree fruit can be either won on the wheel or obtained from the mystery tree sale.

~ The same applies to animals, any bought on the market are just animals and not animal pens, these must be bought from the carpenter in the city; special animals can be either won on the wheel or obtained from the mystery stable sale..

~ Any farm crops bought at the market can be replanted to make more.

~ Any special event crops cannot be bought or sold at the market, during the event. If these crops remain in the game, they can be sold / bought in the market at that level.

    Glitches and ways around them

~ If you appear to have sold an item (if it is no longer in your market stall) and you don't appear to have received payment; then refresh your page as sometime the total needs a helping hand to update, after a refresh your CC should be there if the item sold successfully.

~ If you get no money from a sold item after refreshing and your item is gone from your stall then check whether it was returned to inventory (after seven days).

~ Sometimes it may appear that an order you have placed on the market appears in your market stall but when you look for it in the overview it is not there. Possibly, it is because the item has sold very quickly, so check again in case it has gone from your market stall. If it is still there then you have a 'stuck' item, try a cache clear and browser restart.

~ If you are having Market difficulties that are not listed here, you can always try a cache clear and a browser restart, this does help to clear many problems most of the time.
