    What is the Standalone Client?
    It is a downloadable Client which requires a one-time installation. After a successful installation, the Client can be accessed via desktop shortcut.

    *Where can I find the Standalone Client?
    1. Here: https://www.farmerama.com/?action=externalDownloadUnity -> After opening the page, the download is initiated immediately.

    2. If you log in to the Unity/WebGL Client, you can access via the button.
    -> Button will lead to the download page (1.)
    *How can I install the Standalone Client?
    Double clicking on the button will install the client automatically. After a successful installation you can simply click on the icon on your desktop and the log in page will open. After you logged in, the game will open, and you can enjoy playing Farmerama. Feel free to check out our help on the download page.
    *What are the requirements for installing the Standalone Client?
    A working Internet connection and you need at least around 512 MB free space on your laptop/PC, in best case no other programs running in parallel - especially during the installation process (for example Skype, Netflix) and probably you need to add the file to your trusted items in your Antivirus program. Also, you’ll require at least 2 GB RAM and Windows7 32bit.
    *What if there issues with installing the Standalone Client?
    Please check if you have sufficient free space on your laptop/PC and if needed: free up space. also see whether your Antivirus program requires permission to trust the file. Of course, you need a stable internet connection, so please check if you are connected to the Internet. Furthermore, pay attention that you aren't logged in with your account in another Client. As usual you can play only with one account at the same time.
    Please ensure, that you restart your computer after downloading and installing the client the first time.

    Depending on your system performance and internet speed, the download and startup of the client may take a while. The older your computer (less performant CPU) and the slower your internet connection, the longer the startup and loading may take. In case nothing helps: Please get in touch with our Support team, they are happy to assist!

    In case you are still using older operational system (e.g. running Windows XP or Vista) unfortunately the client will not run. Also, we do focus currently on Windows Operational Systems. Mac & Linux is currently not supported, but we are already working on the solution for Mac.
    *How to enlarge the Client?
    We have already implemented a Zoom function; you can find it in your game settings:

    The ingame Zoom function will increase and decrease the size of your window:

    *Game updates impact on Standalone Client:
    Whenever we do a new release in the game (sync), for example when new events are about to start, we do create a new game client. This is being uploaded to a storage (CDN). The launcher of the client checks right after the login page has loaded, whether there is a newer version and downloads it and installs it automatically, so you do not have to do anything. However, the file is approx 17-20MB, so depending on your internet speed, it may take up to 10-15 seconds to download it, and depending on your system performance, the installation/extraction may take another few seconds, so the slower your internet connection and the less performant your computer is (CPU performance) the longer this time will take.

    Usually we do only one or two releases per week, so this shall not happen too often, but especially in the upcoming weeks, this may happen more often due to optimizations, bugfixes, and so on - so please be patient. Thank you for your understanding.

    *Is there anything else I should know?
    YES
    Some things which are important for you to know:

    - The Password manager will be implemented soon, so you can save your credentials like you are used to
    - We will implement a game frame too (UID and Username will be visible again)
    - We are looking into a solution to “reload” the Client
    - Of course, it is an ongoing task to fix all open issues and to polish the game
    Should you encounter any issues during the installation process or issues with the client please get in contact with the support team. Make sure to provide a detailed description of the issues you are having and provide following data
    • UserID
    • Operational System Type and version
    • Hardware specifications (CPU, RAM)
    • Internet connection speed

    Now that Adobe Flash has transitioned to Unity, players have the option to download the Standalone Client. If you have not downloaded the client yet, you may select it when logging in to the game. After you have entered your credentials on the landing page (farmerama.com), you may click the 'download' button to install the Standalone client.

    After installation, you will then access the game through the desktop shortcut icon.
