"Miracle on Ice" 48 hour Quests

This event consist of three 48h quests with different event crops and 2 event drops.

There's a possibility for players to get a second set of givers to help out newer players or friends that can only do Quest 3 to get the cloud row.

If your goal is to do the entire event, plan ahead: the 300 Ice Flowers, 210 Helmthorns and 43 Energy Drinks must be leftovers of Quest 1 and Quest 2 to be able to fully complete Quest 3.

I've been a naughty farmer and saved my "Plant Harvest Bonus +3" from Winter Lollapalooza which hopefully will help in these quests!

BUT if I fail I have your easier ways to get what I need! Good luck and I hope we all reach our goals!

 

I really must learn to read the FAQs - just realised we can't gift the drops after saving gifting them for the start of the event!
Having said that, after two fields of Aramanth with trees round the outside, I have 338 Ice Skates so that one's sorted!

You are hilarious, I think to ME that under 5000 is worth of 5-8 hours, not 48 hours... EDIT2: so this is going about to Saturday evening when only 1 field...

and last event gives 6300 Super-crow and I have 13 Super Jumbo trees also...

Nothing more dissapointing than racing toward the end and missing it by 200 event crops...

 

Finished the 1st Quest the whole thing! I do have 300 extra Ice flowers and 85 Ice skates for quest 3! Phew that is done!

5000 crops, so +400 = needed amount to quest3 and lot of Drops...
That was "too easy" to level-249-player...

note: CAC + small plot of lands, produces more in quantity than comfort fields, if there is no +100% Harvest bonus (or +200%) in the Diamond slot and also if there is no +100% or better bonus in the Gold slot.

Comfort fields produce more if the above-mentioned bonuses are used for plants (at least), for example "crops +100% gold slot".

So it matters in terms of yield, what bonuses are in the Diamond and Gold slots as effects!

Even though it sounds funny, that's how it is, it's worth using regular fields, even if you don't harvest them at night, for example up to 8 hours (the average human sleep time per night), BONUSES and especially MULTIPLE bonuses AT THE SAME TIME change the situation in terms of yield the other way around!

I haven't calculated this myself, even though I have a master's degree in statistics (I'm 52 years old), there was a discussion and calculations about this back when the Finnish Forum was still in play!

To put it simply: small fields and CAC produce more using water and manure in 3 hours 58 minutes than Super-Crow + Comfort Fields (without the mentioned 100% or 200% bonuses, the amount of Comfort Fields used remains smaller even with the "crops +1 / 6 hours bonus"!

 

BTW -- Nuubi-Joonas2210 is my BoyFriend=LifePartner "in real life"...) BUT BUT --> "He calculated" WRONG

"CORRECT Calculation", I have 44 Comfort Fields OR 176 small Fields in my Farm and:

1) SMALL PLOTS + CAC + Water + Manure, 3h 58min --> + 176x3 = + 528

2) Comfort Fields + CAC + Water + Manure, + Super-Crow + Fruit Cake + White Innosence --> 44 x 17 -(44x3 seeds !!!) = 748 - 132 = +616

-->616-528 = +88 crops when using CF´s BUT lost 44 Super-Crow...

EDIT: using ALSO suzy Super-Crow it is different amounts and outcomes !!!

case1: 176 SSC lost, gained 176x 3 = +528 (528+528 = total + 1056)
case2: 44 SSC lost, gained 44x 6 = +264 (616+264 = total +880)

so I think (and Nuubi too!!!) if You have lot of SSC, use it+ small plots, not SC + ComfortFields

 

202 Small 1x1 plots with Carrot-Apple Chutney give 808 crops - 202 crop for replant = 606 each harvest to accumulate.

44 Comfort fields (15 crops) + Carrot-Apple Chutney (2 crops) + Suzy Super-grow (6 crops) give 1012 + 26 1x1 plots give 104 crops. That's a total of 1116 crops per harvest - 132 to sow back into the Comfort Field - 26 for the 1x1 plot = total 958 crops per full harvest.

That's 58% more crops than a full 202 1x1 plot field. It gives a better return from super-grow and Suzy's super-grow.

 

Yeah, I know, I am about halfway through the crops and will finish in about 5 hours - had to sleep for a few hours so left CFs doing some work for me - only SG and SSG, no bonuses this time - always hope the Wheel will be generous the next day! Drops were achieved in about an hour after the event started! Just panicked a bit with one field only to plant event crops!

No beginner here, March 2010, started two months after the game started making nearly 16 years! But I am a little long in the tooth (meaning old!), skim FAQs missing vital bits of info, prone to mistakes and just generally dizzy!

Let's hope the rest of the event is this relaxing (will not say easy!).

 

Finished too thanks to my "Plus 3" harvest from a quest before!
I have 593 Ice Flowers, but only 5 Skates ...
I'm wondering if the skates keep dropping until the end of the event, or if the drop is automatically cut off once you finish all the quest....?

On the plus side, one of the crates has given me a +200% Overall Revenue which I hope to be able to use for another part of this quest when the time comes ..

EDIT: The skates continue to drop even if the mission is finished!! Hooray!
