This is an one field Bahamarama event. Players get to chose which event crop to start with: either the "short" growth time of 5h or the "longer" growth time of 10h.

There's 4 Torrent Twister unpgrades to be had in this event.

Depending on your goal, there's a few possibilities on how to achieve it:

Usually, the drops are the one that that limits this event. If we consider that in the same 10h period we can sow and harvest 2 Compass Roses for just 1 harvest of the Tropical Cork, the amount of Compass Roses to harvest is lower than the amount of Tropical Corks needed. But, with a higher harvest time, the Tropical Corks should yield out more drops than the Compass Roses.

I'm still on my first cuppa coffee. I think I only had one eye open when I read the FAQ.

I'm in on this farm and SL's - want those torrent twister upgrades and the CR ain't too shabby, either.

Don't forget to put Ixora out for drops. And, move your Howie's. Also, if you still have any there's that alligator/basketball 2x2 giver that ups the drop rate for bahamarama fields. I think my farms still have one in storage. Guess I'll have to make room to plunk those down somewhere.

Also, um, wait, just lost my train of thought, checking... oh yeah - I usually start with the 10 hour crop (better drop rate, by one skosh).

 

I'm in...but a bit weary of changing my fields, trees, animals etc. However, I do want those Torrent upgrades.

Hi Northy! Thanks so much for crunching the numbers for us. It makes it so much easier to navigate through these events. So, correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like we can win a total of 4 Torrent Twister upgrades ..... 1 on level 3, 2 more on level 5, and one more additional one on level 9. Hi, Northy, thanks so much for your magical efforts whilst I dream away 14 hrs ahead of you! I'm on the fence about doing this, as still busy in RL, but I might give it a try in my usual lazy way. Good luck to all participating.

Does the amount of TEP affect the number of drops? Both Ixora (flower/481 TEP) and Saguaro(other crop/397 TEP) are 24hr crops and I believe there are buffs for each.

 

Thank you for pointing out the 2 upgrades at lv 5. I do not like how small the prizes are written and the random way of listing them in the tables. Mostly, the ctr-F5 cannot locate any of that stuff because the tables are all inserted as images in the FAQ...

I think drops are affected by time and not EP/TEP. I'm pretty sure howies, cloud rows and pets have a bigger effect on drops than the EP/TEP value of the crop.

I am traveling around for the next 10 days so what I can achieve depends a lot on internet connections and family commitments. I will do what I can, using CFs, get the crops as far as possible and worry about the drops later. Very finger in the air stuff.

There was a big experiment about this, a long time ago, and I believe it concluded that that drops were based only on the original growing time before buffs are applied, and on the number of squares used. So whatever you can buff most effectively.

I cleared my field yesterday and planted the new long-growing crop (Tahetian Gardenia) as I was a bit late. Pumped up my stock a bit at the same time. I started with planting both (2xten) crops to catch an extra 5 -hopefully- of the 10h-crop, and will do the 5h side first. That being said, I do plant the 10h-crop overnight otherwise I'll miss one harvest every night. Not planning on getting up in the middle of the night to harvest.

If you find drops are a problem, there is a drop item bonus from a crate, as well as peanut butter cups. The PB cup only lasts 2 hours so it may be best to use when you harvest long crops overnight. They are expensive in my market, but they are an option.

I noticed both crops were available for planting. Previously, we had to pick one of them and had to wait to unlock the 2nd one. I like having both available from the start. I will choose the 10 hour crop to start donations with but with the way my farming day falls, I could potentially get in a round of the shorter crop before putting in my overnight crop.

The prizes are a bit different depending on the path chosen. I don't recall prior events of this type being that way.

The event-specific prizes and season rewards are the same for both paths.
The wonder trees and stables have some differences, but the one I want (Taiwan Baha Wonder Tree can give a Rain Tree) is the same for both paths.
The Neon Light Bulb is only awarded when starting with Compass Roses (5-hour crop).

I've decided to start with Compass Roses with the hope that someday Neon Light Bulbs will be valuable.

 

Is this correct - I have BOTH seeds, 5h and 10h, when my choice was 5h crops ?!

edit: but of course I can only deliver the 5h plants of my choice to the event!

 

Where do we get the recipe for the peanut butter cup?

 

It was offered as a prize during one event, just like the pinkie pie pie now known as the pinkest pie.

 

As for PLANTS, this is looking really good now, only 48 minutes left and I can get over 3700 for the last shorter plant delivery when 3550 are needed.

Then there are still over 14 hours of the +200% bonus from the Diamond Place to make that taller plant in small fields with the same bonus and there are 740 pieces in the warehouse, made yesterday after 9pm local time (and at night) as a so-called "side product" and drops have accumulated 381 pieces of the 800 needed.

This is EASIER than the previous times! As far as I remember, one plant has NOT been able to grow alongside another, like now, but only after making the necessary DROPS in between have you received the seeds of the other plant!

I'm done with the slower crop but the drops are a bit difficult to gather.
