This event takes place on the Event field and the drops come from the Main field.

There are two crops:

Pool Noodles - 275 required
Floaties Flowers - 860 required
There will be 25 Pool Noodles waiting to be harvested on the Event Field.
At level 2, the prizes include 14 Floaties Flower seeds.

You can extend your growing area with Swimming Caps (drop from crops and trees on Main field only): 235 will fully open all plots available.

Note: NO replenishing of seeds - a few seeds can be purchased in the Event Shop - so don't donate unless you have already planted.

NO BUFFs work on this field, just water and manure are effective. Fruity Pancakes (available in the larger baskets) will reduce the growing time by 10% for 48 hours.

Finally, there are a number of items available (including event seeds) in the Event Shop which can be purchased with Star Coins (drop available from trees on Main field only).

Me, I am going to go for as many drops as I can so I intend filling my Main field with Trees, no XLs or XXLs, the full 18 hours as I believe this achieves a better drop rate.

When it comes to the planting strategy, I will use mainly 2x2s, then 1x2s and the remainder with 1x1s - no real difference in return but it will use less manure and water.

If I am correct and I think I am .The price stable in 21 should be pleco fish orange....

 

I'm in and using the same strategy: filled my main fields with simple trees of 20 hours (using also my 5 arboretos)

You are right, Miekje9 - I have been playing for so long, I didn't realise that some trees take longer than 18 hours!

On the other hand, the change in prize is in the breeding event but the FAQs haven't yet been updated so I have noted it in my Strategy thread.

Thanks illy1996 for starting the thread and Miekje9 for added information! This is a love hate event for me...I love the graphics and the cute concept BUT hate this field to grow the crops on for all the obvious reasons BUT I always do the event!

The 18h comes from the 10% tree reduction growth from the rune in the Tree of Wisdom (20h trees - 10% (so 2h) = 18h), that's why. The Birch tree, Goat willow and Dappled Willow take more time to mature.

 

Can someone help clarify for me if the drops are only coming from the 1 Main field, or if they mean all the fields on the Main (as opposed to Baha) farm? Sorry, I'm a relatively new farmer and I'm a little confused about where to put out my trees to prepare for this one. Thanks!

 

According to the FAQ they'll come only from the main field, the first field that appears when you click on the farm.

 

In the past, I have done this event on the baby farms as well as my three main farms. This time around, no baby farms will participate and I'm not sure this farm will either. Maybe, not sure. So much is going on in RL - haven't had a lot of time to farm lately.

well I missed the main area for this event and I need at least 3 hours to prepare the main area I must admit I've been very busy lately and I'm missing some things good luck everyone.
This morning the event has been completed and the trees in the main area will continue to be harvested to collect the rewards so for me the event continues and I think the falls from the trees are low I am using 20 hour trees. For me there are still forum login questions.

 

You could use the dutch fansite and chat with a translater and the people in the chat can handle it if you speak english

so mainfield is on the farm

 

My strategy is slightly different and I hope it pays off. I do not trust much of trees, so I mainly have amaranths to give swimming caps and only some dappled willows to give star coins (hopefully). We need a lot of those caps to open more space to grow event plants. Once they are open, I'll grow just fruits.
I have also my magic trees out to give star coins. I just hope I do not harvest them before event starts, they are already ready to be harvested.

 

Drop rate was poor for crops on both my farms, so I'm guessing that the tree drop rate was poor too. Any reason why hoping for 30/40 to get 1 more event crop??!!! Same with those crate and wonder stables/trees, sooooo expensive for a chance of getting an orange beaver/donkey/bat/tortoise or XXL maple!

 

You should trust your tree drops more... I had a whole field with 20 hours trees and 8 Howies (and 1 in the Tree of Wisdom)... it gave me 192 starcoins and i harvest my cloudrows ofcourse

Does anyone of you know or could you tell me if some others have the same thing, that:

it would seem that when I collect GIVERS or PETS objects (no, I don't mean the Magic Tree here!!!) from those areas, where there are hundreds of them in total, it would seem that those STAR COINS are flying around, but then when I go to the event's store, the said star coins are only just the amount I have Magic Trees too!?

Is it the same for others or have you noticed?

I have 5 Magic Trees and I collected them, they became 5 Star Coins but many other things from the Givers area or the Pets area at least visually seemed to collect them?

I don't think the FAQ mentions anything about this, should it accumulate?

edit: if I watch right, there was flying 4 star Coins from my 9 Chocolate Hot Tubs, not 1-to-1 but somerthing...?

no star coins from crops, at least in the first harvest this morning there was none.

There's so many display issues with the game that I'm not surprised. I've deactivated all animations and sounds and yet, when I harvest one field, if I go too fast and harvest the second field the crop display will show the first field. Worse, crops will lose watter and/or manure. I have to enter a new field and go back to see if everything is OK. Manually harvesting trees or givers, using turbo mulch or Suzy's super grow may not register right. At times I log in later on the the manual steps I took have vanished.
