Feedback Waddle and Paddle

Howdy Farmers,

Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the "Waddle and Paddle" Event in this Feedback thread. We are looking forward to capturing your initial reaction to the event, as well as the final opinion after participating in the event.

Please be sure to bring arguments for supporting your statements, simple comments saying you like it or hate it will not help the Team understand what goes great, and what needs to be looked into, when planning future events.

The spawn events make harvesting and other farm tasks impossible without the harvester/seeder/builder machinery. The spawn creatures are in the way so even though you can click on a plot to plant or harvest, or a tree to harvest, you cannot do anything. The spawn creature throws up its dialogue box to feed it instead. You cannot even move the item to another plot to be able to harvest it.
If you decide not to participate in the event a player will in effect have at least 8 plots/trees etc that they cannot action for nearly a week.

Poor execution.

 

You can turn off the Ingrid characters spawning on your field by clicking the box in the event window:

 

I love the spawning character events. Surprise goodies are always fun. I appreciate that each harvest gives the ability to give to several characters, making it feel like progress. Graphics are cute, requirements are reasonable, drop rate is good. All in all, an excellent event.
