drop rates have dropped so low not sure the first weekend quest can be finished.

 

I had the opposite experience, and finished my first weekend quest early Saturday without much effort. I was intending to post my thanks for such a positive start!

 

When I had mostly trees on my field, my drops were low. I deleted most trees and left the deco items and product producing trees and planted long-grow crops and drop rate improved. I should have enough to complete all level/steps with the next harvest. I also put out my three Howies. I've been busy in RL and don't get on the game overnight, and found this strategy helps complete the goals. You could also ask your neighbors to gift you mittens. Hope you reach your goal!

 

Breeding during the Happy Discount Day gave out a lot of drops. I had already completed the entire event before with placing 20h+ crops the night before the event started and the first day of the event. This was on my baby farm that doesn't have all the drop booster and it was enough. I hope you make it Sassy22!

 

Thank you for the various advise/strategies! I do not know what a Howie is- probably missed those when I took a few years off the game.
I do not have an on-going harvester to take down fields and rebuild them often- I use the large crop field to plant one to get 4 as that is the easiest to harvest without help from a harvester. The small one is too much time and putting manure on that square is difficult to consistently do correctly. On the weekend event, I did the top, high amount for tasks 2 and 3 and I still need 70 of the mittens to complete task 4 for the 2 givers. Might not even get one of those the way it is going. Thank you again for your support and I do like this farming game though.

UPDATE: I tried some breeding and got mittens! so now I should be able to finish this one! Thank you for the help.

 

Sassy22, hope you made it. Agree, it is hard work to do all the actions without the Harvester. Du courage!

 

Again, Thank you all- I did complete the event... just in time! Hopefully the next weekend is similar now that I got a few tips from you great farmers!

 

So far, enjoying this event. No worries and the items give lot of EP's

 

I have not been able to plant the Gingerbread Briar as I still have Amaranth growing in the Green Meadow field.
I'm not sure I'll be able to catch up since I do not have much super grow and suzys super grow.


The story line is cute, the givers from the event are good the requirements not so bad.
I guess we will see how things go.

 

Will not be able to finish the second weekend event which means not getting the givers in the last 4 of 4 tasks. Hope we do not have a cloud row that needs these as the requirements for the event plant is very too difficult to achieve for all task requirements.

Constructive advice- make some of these events easier especially around holidays since people are busier around those times, so players stay with the game. The graphics and general farming is better than most of the farming games out there.

 

Sassy, I see that they give two of the EP givers so you might be able to pick one up at the next G&T.

I usually give the several weekend quests a pass, cause I've been burned before and never got one complete. But...this time I'm doing pretty good. Thanks for something that's a bit more doable while we suffer through the norse event. I really appreciate that on the first event you got drops for breeding, and the breeding awards stick around till the last weekend. VERY nice.

And done! In all my years of Farmerama, this is the first weekend quests one that I've finished up. I usually miss out on something along the way and can't finish. But this was was nice. Thank you!

 

The second weekend quest where crops (Gingerbread Briar) had to be grown for the tasks- The day after, any crops left were converted to EP/CC. So why is the quest still showing in the unfinished quests???

Bad glitch that we see something that we could not complete, need a giver for a cloud row which the row is now not possible to complete, and it has been sitting there making us more angry/frustrated.

Is there a way to grow these needed crops for that weekend quest? It would be a wonderful Christmas gift if we could grow/finish this quest- hint, hint....
