I've collected all three deco items and placed them in Shipwreck Cove to collect BEP until I get the cloud row. :)
I'm sure I will be able to finish the entire quest but I'm impatient and want to get it done NOW! :pxD

Guess I will just have to wait! ;)

keltic - I agree you are doing fine. I also am getting the milling out of the way. With my very late start yesterday, my mill is now working on all 180 cakes, have 4k-5k in the barn and 4-5k left to grow. Haven't counted drops yet...but think it is on track. Crops should be done tomorrow.

    Congrats SC!

    Yeah, I read
And some others in the beginning, so by these math numbers if doing event right I should have at least cakes done.
See, puppiesnponies you had a late start and have all 180 cakes.... -.- I am still lacking somewhere.....

In this event as goes till 30th I can get it done, but I have goodies now, flower row, refined roses, <I only did water as the event said not hard> so like 7 hours not 10:45, and trees, by this alone I should be more done than I am. somewhere I need to do more of something that I seem to be missing.
I feel like I got a super big out board motors but lack the know how to mount on boat and strength to pull the cords.

I will do as Clashstrummer says and do the overnight rye is my longest, longer than I wanted to be locked down but the pumpkins don't seem to be cutting it.

Why do you think, keltic, you should be in better shape by now? What does that mean? There are still almost 4,5 days to go till event end.

For example, I still need 448 event's drops but all event's crops are already done. I assess that as way more than fine. Not worried at all because it means I've already got 55% of all required event's drops in just 1,5 days.

Those who tell they've already finished or are very close to finishing throw everything to get event's drops and crops done in a flash, through using SG by numbers on CFs while having one or more refinements active and so on. They must not be the parameter against you should assess your performance. Just calculate the % of progress you have made so far. If, as regards event's drops, you've already gotten 300/350 of them -roughly one third of total-, then you are fine if you can normally farm till event end.

Just relax and do your thing: this is an easy event. Don't pay attention to flash finishers.

Been gone all day, (fun stuff, luckily, not work..). Have most of the roses I need to donate, but short on potions, both to donate and to make friendship cakes. I plan to figure out how many additional roses I really need tomorrow (too tired right now) and will convert my farm to longer crops and animals/workshops.

    @keltic
Don´t worry, I´m sure you´re doing fine and will finish the event in time:)

I´m one of those not rushing, mostly finishing events the day before they end.
Right now I still have to grow 6k of roses, need 320 or so of potions and 10 more cakes. That sounds like much but it isn´t, because there´s plenty of time left :)

Just do as Aluntino suggested and calculate the percentage of your progress and whether you´re on track.

I didn´t enjoy the last event much, too much time glued to the computer, desperately trying to squeeze all these harvests into the very limited amount of time without wasting too many valuable resources of SG and SSG-.-

This one is really relaxed, just make sure to mill the cakes first, milling takes some time, the rest is peanuts. And if really bad comes to worse and you don´t get enough drops, there´s still enough time to resort to desperate measures like instant roses or illy´s SOS thread:)

    @pnp

Your sig is an inspiration and comfort to me as well, adorable :inlove:

Have a wonderful day @ all, good luck!!!

    Aluntino:

    1st hi.
I figured, try doing events like this easy to finish, as fast as I can, why? things come up, may not be around, just interested in knowing how many other non event things I can keep and still need the less room, what I need to have to stay in the front what will happen if the rewards are really juicy and I won't be around? I need to know my fall to items, what to do if I don't have SG, if I forget to plant not that it would ever happen :music:

And I figured a good measure for life happening in it's many faces to try to do these events with just the basics I got,
some here said they planned on not using buffs or SG, so if they are sure they will finish I gave it a shot as I am low on SG and buffs need a break need to make some. My flower row should make it easy, the rose refinement should shave off event time, but alas not enough. Nice to know now I am lacking not during a really hard event in time and math..

And as someone said in one of the forum threads I read said they use the extra time in easy events as they finish early to restock what they used up in the event. Now that sounds efficient! I would like to be that good.

Also, I have 2 main goals right now that are making me leave out trees, I need to finish my LL only at 25% I had two fields half covered in maple and almonds while hitting the market for bargains, now pulled for event so another back set.

And I will be coming to the shipwreck bay soon, so I need to start saving stuff for that. I got all the sugarcane working on bananas now, so half the island in naner trees. want to put the parrots back up for the LL but for event I wanted to try all trees on island, now that may not have been smart, maybe as a starting crop but not all the way through the event.
Still tweaking, still seeing what is needed, I won't believe you need SG it can be done early and with good time to spare with good usage in what is basic.

I am also taking it very slow and steady. I am only planting roses on one field and even doing longer crops overnight on that one field. :)
I have already baked 100 cakes and the other 80 are in the oven so no more roses or drops needed for cakes. :music:

That leaves me needing just over 7,000 roses on both farms. This farm needs another 446 Friendship Potions and Chevrefeuille is doing even better, only needing 421 Friendship Potions so both have over half the required amount of drops after only two days. :p

The other three fields have longish term animals/workshops and trees. So this is working for me and I should finish by Wednesday, as long as I can manage three harvests per day. If all else fails, I can clear another field but I would prefer not to! :inlove:

    Good luck everybody! ;)

I don't think the rose refinement will work on an event rose, just the usual red roses ... I could be wrong but I have those refinements and it had no effect on my growing times.

I have all my yellow roses grown for the event, I also have milled all the friendship cakes needed. So now what I really need to work on is drops and I am sure I will be fine. I put in an extra field of yellow roses just in case something comes up, a glitch or whatnot..., I dont fancy surprises like that. I will now be putting in my long term crops and in my green meadow my highest ep workshops, pens and stalls. In baha, I will use my panda's and comfort fields for crops. Good luck to everyone and may the drops fall for all of you!

Nope, I got reg. roses on wisdom plot, had event on main and the other one behind it. Now just on main -.-figures my rhubarb is running low, I am refining that now for the board, been threw 8000 time to set up another 2000 for the system to eat, I am just thinking that flower CR row works on reg. and event flowers, not sure about that but hoping, have not written down anything on it or left on old list who knows.

keltic - everyone's strategy may be different depending on their RL. I did not stress on Friday when the event began since we do have quite a bit of time to accomplish it. I bought the walnuts I needed. I started with carnations and ginger on the island. I did leave a few special trees - the newest ones and pens- tortoise, platys, and kingfisher. My LL rune is 30%. During the day, I have used Baha to grow crops as well as the main farm - leaving those items out just mentioned. The only supergrow and manure I used was the initial start up seeds. Now just using CAC and water only. Though we have time to complete it, I have a very hectic schedule next week and would like to get the 'busy' work of harvesting every few hours out of the way this weekend and now that Gift and Trade is coming, it will be nice for me to focus only on one thing at a time.

I don't think you are lacking anywhere. It sounds like you have adopted a strategy that suits all your farming goals and not just the event. Switching to a longer overnight crop rather than pumpkins is a good idea and you should see more drops. I know it is good to read everyone's tips on how they are doing so you can get some good ideas in case you need to make any adjustments but try not to let it make you feel like you are not doing well. You are. Be confident. :)

The flower cloud row gives more EP for event crops and reduces time for flowers on the farm.

I have the 180 cakes milling. Things seem comfortable right now, as I am growing the roses and waiting on about 375 drops. :D

Today, I only use the MG to grow event crop, just harvest calculate. Now, I only
need 357 yellow rose will be finished growing.
It's evening time here, so I plant all 3 field of sugar beet. they will be ready next
morning. I now need 292 drops. there is still 97 hr left. yes, plenty of time for this
amount of drops. No stress, I'm now in a more relax way.
Maybe after I harvest my sugar beet. I will no longer need to move my howie around field:p

Slow and steady seems to be the way to go. I'm back to normal farming now just to collect the drops, everything else has been done. I've even stuck my animals and trees back out, so this is lovely and relaxing for me.

One more crop of Yellow Roses needed and in the 'ground'. I need to make Two more Cakes and await 320 potions with long-term crops once the Event Roses are ripe about noon time here. Good timing since I have to grocery shop and mow the lawn in RL. o_O:cry:

I hope the event is going well for everyone. I don't have time today to read the whole thread or even the last couple of pages... So, congrats to anyone done, with any part of this event.

I'm just working on drops now. Everything else is done. Well not some of the cakes but I need drops to make those too. With 90 hours left I don't think I'll have trouble getting them. I hope. I've planted carnations so I should get a nice chunk with my next harvest.

    Back to RL again.

Thank-you for outlining all you did!
I see now I have some of the fall back on items still need ginger carnations and that LL done.
Ok, I am almost at the point of my foundation being solid, need a few more items, ok, now to change put this on hold and just work on leveling up, and getting that last of the items for a good base.
I am trying the sugar beets, I figured not as long as rye, that just too long till I can refine, and better than pumpkins, and it is the choice of a stable farmer <waves> so good enough for me.
Thanks for the info on the flower row, if I had it lost it, and you saved me mega re reading.
just have 36 cakes to make and 23 potions to get <plus potions for the cakes> I will finish no issue, on a whole a vary good test to see what I could do. Thank-you everyone.

This has got to be the easiest event ever. Aside from the high number of drops needed to complete the event. Except maybe some Nublon visits. (I miss the Nublons. Got one of my best rewards ever for one of my farms from them. Pigeon Nest generates one SG every day.)

Lots of times I post my strategy and by the time the event actually starts... I've changed my mind about something. But I stuck to it this time. Didn't use a drop of SG or SSG this time. Hoarding... lol Because of that I think I ended up doing one more harvest. Finished the event crops this morn. Started milling the cakes this morn. I expect to have the last of the drops tomorrow, Tuesday at the latest.
Now I'm back to my lazy twice a day farming. Hope I don't forget to do the donations. lol

    Initial drops...
All three farms have 30% LL rune. I had only trees on Baha. All of my Mirabelle, some walnut, apple, etc trees on the three primary fields. Most of the trees were not ready to harvest at event start.
Farm 1 (4 howies): 158 -- no magic trees yet
Farm 2 (no howies): 149 -- no magic trees yet
Farm 3 (no howies): 147 -- no magic trees yet

Keep in mind that some players buy the baskets, event multiple baskets. Some players spend BB aka real money to finish parts of events. They don't usually report those purchases in their early finishes. I don't do either of those things. If I do I will tell you so. It's only fair. And some people... exaggerate.
