Strategy for Neon Stables Event

To Mooboy is that roAsters you mean or do you really mean roosters? I know roosters are chickens but are they going to be included I wonder.

 

Wynde23 I'm pretty sure that is indeed Roasters not Roosters as the roosters are completely separate from chickens.

Thanks to all the smart guys and gals I have most of my animals and a plan figured out....subject to change at any time

On my baby farm I have been able to gather enough animals together for breeding and did enough FSQ for stars to open the twin ruin. I've even gotten over 300 PF from FSQ

Thanks everyone for doing the math etc and @Mooboy for your chart of which animals to choose. I had already worked out my own version of which animals equate to the nearest EV amount as I thought it would save time once the event starts but I will check mine against @Mooboy 's come the time. I got so far through and discovered a big maths debate so decided to leave it there. You guys give great advice and for people who have the time and inclination to take this game so seriously, good luck to you, but I am here for fun. I want those Neon stables and by golly I'm gonna get um, but I won't lose any sleep over if I use normal chickens or coloured ones! . I have done a rough workings out earlier so I know what I need to breed, if anything, during BB. I have had my rabbit, chicken and goat stables out doing overtime so I plan to make plenty of CC's flogging em!

I agree that this is very very likely, but I don't think you should state it as a fact as it hasn't been announced yet...

 

I don't know if I should breed. I have: 797 Chickens, 915 Rabbits, 1117 Goats. Ιn one day I fed 200 Chickens, 39 Rabbits and 37 Goats. My main goal is to get thes neon stables and if I accomplish that I will try for more. Should I breed or should I continue growing them? And if I start breeding what should I try to get?

 

Why not do a bit of both Arielh? Work out how many animals you need to get the Neon Stables and use any excess for breeding. With BB, you nearly always get at least half the base animals back so you may end up with practically as many as you started plus some other higher level animals. At the same you can still be adding to your base animal stock. I just quickly added up and I think you have enough rabbits (501) and goats (555) to get the Neon Stables so why not breed any excess of them and continue raising chickens (1200 needed to get Neon Stable)?

The beauty of this event is that there are so many strategies possible. I found that this farm had less Speckled Goats than Chevrefeuille (who knows why, they both have jumbo pens but probably I forgot to put the pens out on this farm at some point) so I just worked out that it was a better option to buy the Speckled Goats and save my base animals.

Now all those clever people working out the most economic way to do the event will probably be tittering like mad at my strategy but it works for me!

Illy, those who begin to understand EV use will not be upset with your chosen method at all. EV use relates directly to "... the most economic way." And it becomes a challenge to solve the math problem.

I can guarantee you this: Nearly EVERY single circumstance will be different as to the most economic donation (if one cares at all). In the end, it must work for you! Yours is different from mine and ours is different from the next person and all of our beginning holdings are different and on and on an on and on ....................... and each of us must conclude as you say: "... it works for me."

The only two numbers set by the game are EV and EP. The same type of analysis is being done by advanced players with EP. What one has in the beginning guides the most economic and efficient decision making. This does take time to master. And the further one goes into the concept, the more adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing is useful.

It took me 5 minutes but I got the first 5 steps done for each of the three animals from stock.
I think I will stop here and contemplate whether to get the CR or not.
What do you think ?

I'm just going for the neon stables and then seeing if I want/am able to do more. Got the neon chick out - looks fab!

 

I have enjoyed reading all the strategy and calculations presented by clever farmers in this thread. One day I hope to be in position to do some things they are now able to do.

My strategy is very much like dear Illy's plan - doing base animals with a mix of low levels and some breeding.

Judging from the last several breeding events, I believed there was a trend developing where I could not afford the PF to handle the BP breeding events. So for me, the most economical thing I could figure out was to start buying base animals and low levels every time I could spot a bargain. And I worked hard (luckily!) to acquired the commonly used animals like chickens, rabbits and goats. My hope was then to spend PF only on getting the higher level animals I could not currently afford to purchase.

Though this plan would not work with a newly introduced animal (like the goose event) it would for the baby animal events and for animals not currently with colored pens. So I became (gasp) an animal hoarder!

Thus for this event I even had enough surplus chickens to sell for profit and buy a couple of mid level animals, which will hopefully shorten the PF used to get those higher level animals!

My calculations show I can use the base animals to get the first steps, where I can then switch to colored animals to complete the steps to the neon stables. Thanks to Mooboy and his chart, I've determined it should only take a small bit of breeding (fingers crossed!) from that point to get the few higher level animals I will need to complete the event.

Success for me is setting a goal I believe I can reach - joy is being able to stretch and get a bit farther. Thanks to everyone who shared their wisdom to help people like me stretch!

I finished already, too. I used base animals for breeding and got great skips today, which saved me tons of PF. Plus, I still have lots of animals left, so I can use them to earn a few ccs. My strategy, as usual, was to have fun-- and it worked.
**The neon stables are so pretty! And (I had to try it) if you have a starscope, they look even better.
