I completed the event and I activated the Cloud row! :DI just couldn't resist not to get the Cloud row. :oops:There is still time to make CC.

I absolutely agree there is an overall inflation going on and the prices will be somewhat higher than they have been. Treefruit still hasn't dropped to previous low levels, and I'm regretting having parted with so much cork for the last event. But the embarrassing high prices for easily obtainable base and low level colored animals for this event will go down after this BBD. I need the ccs for other goals, most especially to obtain golden bananas and stars. I have no plans for building neon stables in my immediate future.

Well I for one am loving the prices of breeding animals :inlove: Will I build more Neons? Maybe :music:but I won't do it using the lower level animals I'm selling for crazy prices.
I just need 1 more Instructor goat to finish off the FSQ for goats then I might build another....or sell ;)

I have noticed that the prices of ducks, sheep, and turkeys have risen sharply in the lower levels. I'm still picking up nice deals in the higher levels.

Good Luck with BBD :inlove: may the skips be with everybody

As many of you may know, I wouldn't build any additional neon -or any coloured, whatever colour- pens or workshops because, in my opinion, as I've been showing in forum for years now, it never makes any sense. There are/have been only a few exceptions to this rule, always for rather short periods, never for anything coloured red or above.

This does not mean I don't appreciate coloured pens. On the contrary, they are the ones I seek the most during GB&T events (I think the only ones I've ever built have been 2 or 3 orange koi fish workshops) because they are the most efficient. Very nice to have, very awful to build: thus, I try to grab value others chose to destroy.

This is a matter already thoroughly discussed in the old forum. In short -though bred animals mkts change through time and, since the end of last year (as a result of BP starting to put pressure on those mkts through asking for them in events and key FS quests), prices have generally gone up-, the lower level bred animals are always the most valuable -hence, the more profitable to get and then sell-, indifference happens -depending on animal- towards levels 3 or 4, and value is heavily destroyed above those levels, meaning you need to invest more resources -whichever these are, starting with PF- in value terms than what you get in return. The only exceptions are level1 bred animals that people get through CRs or jumbo stables: through mkt flooding, people end up selling them at way below their true intrinsic value -in essence, they give them away-. This applies to albino bats, brownies, brown pigs, speckled goats and haflingers. To a certain extent, it also applies to level2 bred animals gotten through jumbo stables: shetland ponies, black goats and wooly pigs. I always buy all these undervalued bred animals by the shiploads and only breed them.

That's why higher level bred animals are always better bought than tried to get through breeding. Of course, this excludes what you can get through skips, the miraculous value creation event that any breeding may result in.

But my advice is to keep a balance -which is exactly what I do-: set for yourself a reasonable stock clip level for any lower level bred animal and sell the rest, when opportunity comes by, to those unprepared and/or too anxious, like now for lower level bred chickens, rabbits and goats.

If anyway you still want to build any higher level coloured pen or workshop, then I advice to do it with the result of miraculous skips combined with buying some of the involved higher level bred animals. What I mean is: it's better not to invest lower level bred animals in breeding them in succession, step by step, to get the higher level ones. By doing this, value destruction is guaranteed, making it harder for anyone to have enough resources for other purposes.

To minimize investment and value destruction, coloured pens/workshops builders should pay attention to the mkt price ratios between contiguous bred animal levels. If, comparing two of them, the following level sells at 2x (twice) or less than the preceding level, buy that level. Never buy if ratio exceeds 3, unless it's for resale afterwards.

But, as always, to be able to be active in this way in bred animal mkts a player must have built up first a decent mass of CCs. Otherwise, it's a ruled out option.

You are right, SillyGuy. One way or another prices will rise. Next it will be the beaver. With breeding events being regularly introduced, it will be one or other animal which will be in high demand. As you said breeding animals will be high in demand for several years for neon stables (and may be later on for neon workshop, if they are introduced) and unless our people start breeding on large scale and flood our markets with the breeding animals, the price of higher breeding animal will rise.

I don't intend to sell my breeding animals. As I can't afford to buy them later.

I have a golden sheep & impostor goat. I am still contemplating whether to build neon stables or wait until I bred another one& go for workshop-pink. What if we have an wool tree in future ? Then pink workshop will be useless. So not taking any action.

QUOTE="farhana, post: 104484, member: 1525"]I think you should go for the cloud row Arielh :)[/QUOTE]

I like your way of reasoning.:D. Finish the full event & then you can make CCs. Few higher level breeding animals are enough to get the cloud.

You have echoed my thought. I have stopped building any sort of coloured stables. You get them from the mystery cargoes, farm wheel etc and of course trade them in G&T event. I do only the breeding event, if the rewards are good. Accumulate my skips. In long run these help you a lot & become your treasures. All this if you intend to play this game and stay in the game for long.

Congrats, Arielh. I know you couldn't resist the cloud row.;) I couldn't.;)

Thank you so much, your advice is taken.:D
It is already often I've done since I played at the top level colored animals. (HINT : for new players who did not understand about how to breed the top level colored animals, you may learn some lessons from DBAYES's and Brookeham's results on somewhere in other thread ;))

Those pink workshops are already not worth it. For the goat milk we have a tree, and the only difference between the red and pink sheep shearing shed is EP, both of them give two wool and they take the same amount of time :)

Mir, thanks. I never knew this before. I am going to do a through research of cloured workshop and acquire the best of them. That's is which require less CCs to build and also take into consideration the time factor. May be I will use this weekend for the same.

    Thanks once again, Mir.
You will make it. Don't worry. There is still time

FYI, pink stables are the best items for CC maker, and pink workshops are the best items for (B)EP maker.
    That's all folk!;)
Good luck for researching, my friend..:)

You are welcome 12ss12 :) Good luck with your research :)

The only other red workshop that gives two products is the bat guano workshop!

I basically built my animal pens off this advice from the old forum but despite the facts (and backed up by examples) that Orange pens are the most efficient... I still find it a thrill to trade for a Pink pen for a rare item in my inventory.

Same with me; when I build past a regular pen or workshop I only do orange. Only exception, one pink pen because I got one animal in a skip and bought another to build the pen.

Most of my orange pens and all my other pink and red pens I have were acquired by events, spins or trade. So glad I saw that advice on orange pens awhile ago, before I wasted lots of resources! (Bows to the experienced players who shared their wisdom):) No building neon pens (however pretty) for me!

Just as an aside, I suspect the market for first level chickens, etc might be crashing soon due the abundance of neon. Going from 3 to 4 is a boost, never mind 1 or 2 to 4!

Seems like it took me forever, because it seems my skips are not that great.... skips on chickens almost non-existent and quite rare on anything else for that matter..... at least for me. As I've said in the past, I'm no gambler and this is why... I fail miserably at it. I have completed the Neon event and I have my cloud row activated!! Love my new Neon pens... so very bright and beautiful. Good luck to anyone who has yet to finish and good luck having fun with the rest of BBD!! ;)
