Yes. I did. Within few hours in the first day itself.;). Suddenly today evening, it struck me that I have completely forgot my 2 other farms.

Why not try just to get the neon stables for them too ? So went to my second farm. Got the stables.
Why not GBs & EP givers from the goat part ? Got them too.
Why not try for chicken & rabbit too ? Got them too.
Why not try the clouds ? Done. Just have to deposit a scaredy to get the cloud row.
Had only 50,000 CCs or so at the start. Somehow earned around 900,000 CCs. Bred & bought and nearing the finish of the event in my second farm. Finished it super quick within few hours.
    xDxDxDxD

Breeding pens are cooking in my third farm without pheromones. Will harvest them tomorrow morning. Its my baby farm. So just the neons alone.
    :)

Thanks Mir & SuperGuy. I will try to get both the red - sheep & bat workshop. Just now earned some money from rabbits. Hesitant to spend them in buying the breeding animal.

Okay I said I wouldn't go for Cloud Row as not worth it BUT my FOCD took over... I have it now BUT not planning on using it yet...

My question to others... are you finding the breeding skips far less than they used to be... Personally I think they are rubbish.. but it may just be my bad luck... The odd skip to next level but nothing more exciting... ???
I did see someone got a golden hen from regulars (that's how it used to be occasionally) but decent skips used to happen more often..

Hi Karen- I only had normal results this time...nothing very exciting but that is typical for me. I am very happy for those who got awesome skips but is not something I normally see (it did happen once...when we had the first 'baby' event and I did get a golden hen:inlove:)

My FOCD took over and I bought the high level animal in the market since I cannot get a skip. Made some nice CC selling animals during the neon event and have since gone shopping! Broke will get me now! xDxDxD

I've only got as far as the Neons on all 3 sides, have the stock to finish the Event I'm sure but just not sure what to donate. The Market for breeding animals has been crazy the last few days so I'm selling, buying and breeding whatever seems like a good deal. Once BB is over, and near the end of the Event, I'll reassess and hand in what's left over.

About the CR: my feelings exactly xD Want it badly..but will hardly use it. FOCD
About skips: I find that I normally get decent skips on my very first round of breeding, at least something that has done a 3-4 lvl skip (today I got a haflinger, mustang and a seahorse from 4 regulars) but then that's it for amazing skips for this BB. But I also think the amount of regular animals that are given back to us has increased by a lot. I put in 12 horses today and got 10 back. Not as much fun as skips but still a bonus.

Hope all are having a great weekend with plenty of skips!

The best skip I had so far is a breezy from plain chickens. My best skips always happen/have happened, always, from plain animals. Whenever I breed any higher level bred animal -higher than level0, the plain animal, even level1-, I get skips but hardly beyond 2/3 levels. In fact, the lower the level of the animal you breed, in my experience, the highest the likelihood of getting a great skip.

However, in this BB edition, probably as a side effect of the neon frenzy, the real best skips I had were through market, of very high level bred animals from their former owners' hands to mine... LOL. Seriously, I've already grabbed 5 level8s (and I'm eyeing a 6th) at bargain prices, all funded by the zillions I've been making these days with the neon event related most profitable bred animals and those I spotted people are curing themselves in health and grabbing now, before the next neon event happens, as I mentioned before. In my market, unseen very high level bred animals prices since, at least, a year ago.

    hatzeva,

You're wondering what to donate. Well, you may dislike my answer -as many of you I'm sure will do- but the best way to determine that is going to market and figuring out what's the lowest option in CCs per EV terms. That is, of what you have now, I'd calculate that and donate in accordance and sell what, instead, of what you have, yields the most CCs in EV terms.

    To all,

Maybe this is of any use for some of you. When I assess the quality of the skips I had in my own breeding, I don't pay too much attention to level but to value creation, in market prices terms. Why? Because I'm happier to get, for example, chimpanzees (level2 bred monkeys) than trimedaries (level2 bred camels). I can easily sell each chimpanzee at 100K CCs each, whereas I face hard competition on trimedaries and I'm almost unable to sell them at more than 35K CCs each. This means that a single chimpanzee funds 3 trimedaries. Or, in other words, a single monkey breeding hut may result in the equivalent of 3 camel breeding huts. An alpaca (level3 bred camel) sells for, typically, 135K CCs, which means 4 level2 bred monkeys (chimpanzees) fund 3 level3 bred camels (alpacas). See? If you do this relentlessly, no goal of yours will be unreachable.

What I suggest is that you study your markets and decide what to breed based on what you can get in CCs terms from market and then buy whatever you want to with that, other bred animals, for instance, as I explained about camels vs. monkeys.

I just wish I had the time to asses properly, pros and cons about this event and what to donate, but work is stealing time.
Thanks a million for your advice so far!

But, hatzeva, though I understand, it'll take you less than 5 min to calculate those ratios. Then, you donate whatever costing the less CCs in EV terms for each of the 3 animals, and quote for sale -if you want to, if you have the time to- whatever you have left. If you don't have time for quoting, then at least you can be sure you are keeping the most valuable items in your barn (because no one has a crystal ball to tell any better). Just divide the rough -at bird's sight- average of the prices in the first page of each involved bred animal by its EV and you get the CCs/EV ratio. Then, donate, for each of the 3 animals, the one with the lowest ratio and that's it. If you run out of that with the lowest ratio, you complete with the following one, and so on. Don't think, just do it this way: you already have everything, so, the whole process will take you 10 min tops.

I recommend using a spreadsheet to rapidly get the CC/EV ratios, and let your computer do the math. The only thing I have to enter is the current market price. I created it when making purchasing decisions to feed my trophies, but it has been even more useful for this event. I never would have guessed the higher level colored animals would be the better choice without it. I'm still waiting for prices to come down a little more before finishing this event, but those golden bananas prizes are so tempting it is really hard to do.

Aluntino thank you for the advice. I have the stables and working on CR now. I never had a second thought about this as I only use event cloud rows and hope to never miss one if at all possible. Honestly, for me it's a favorite event that ends with one ;) Hope everyone gets the stables as they are almost as cute as my pink donkey! (they will reside in the same neighborhood, for sure...):p

Talking about how to build another Neon Stable after this event ends, I found that wood boards are the main raw material to be prepared.
I only had about 7K wood boards and other tools quite lots, I can only build 5 Neon Rabbit Hutches. I'm stuck with a shortage of wood board, maybe I'll do a refining with it.

Wish we had crop refinements that have a greater chance of receiving wood board when harvesting... Or perhaps we can suggest Happy Drops Day to be held in the future.

    Shucks! My headache recurred.... :cry::wuerg::wuerg::cry:

I know I said I will not go for this event.... I know. But I couldn't resist for that pretty stables so... I have the neon goat pen. Its so pretty! :inlove: I didn't decided if I will go for the chicken... or should I go for rabbits?

@SillyGuy the neon stables will be available in the workshop?

Silly Guy, there are several crop refinements that give greater chance of wood board drops: hops, strawberries, orchids, rhubarb, lily of the valley. I may have missed one somewhere. Shortly after refinements were introduced, I got the wood board refinement on hops - it works fairly well.

Yes, we will be able to build these neon upgrades in the city workshop as well, and they will be the next in line after the pink upgrades.
We only need to wait a little bit for The Devs to add and to sync the new changes into the game after this event ends.

    @mindy1701
Thank you, mindy. I also have the refinements of wood board drops on strawberries and lily of the valley. But 10x higher chance of receiving 1 wood board seems a long way to go for gathering 1200 wood boards.
Perhaps, it looks like to plant these crops monotonously on 3 fields in 2-3 weeks without any lag time.:wuerg::cry: Arqs clearly stated it in his thread. I had the same experience.

-.-I got the wood board refinements right after roses, I did not build anything had almost 4 thou. You know this event was the nicest I ever got on goodies.
My savings of board gone in a couple of clicks, I have a line waiting on board now that out numbers my reds all counted together.....

I really do not see where the refinements have that big of a give, granted, I am only half done with my LL, at 27% now crop side done and really stopping all needs on the island till I am done with it fully. A am sick of it being undone so really all stop till I can say done. Creepy parrots!

I really think if we have the great bean sticks like the ones that have come around, why not a board CR? The game wants money, do a CR for boards and I can bet my new pink gamers would grab it up.

bragging now...... warning ya. But it's my 1st time ever getting one! I really liked this event a lot.

[IMG] I have no idea what I will do with Wilbur but he sits in my park now till I can figure it out. < and it's not like I have the board to do anything with him:sleepy:>

I suggest you go for both of them. Maybe you can grow one of the 2 animals on your own and you can buy or breed the other.
