    Don't you love those nights when you just can't sleep... so you farm lol! xD I am so excited about so many different things... it's no wonder I can't sleep lol!
    :p:D:music::inlove:

    @farmlily3 ~ welcome to the LP! It's so nice to meet you!! When I first saw your post, I thought you might possibly also be farmerlily22 - in which case I already know you lol! (But in reading more, I think you are two separate people.) I love your and David's avatars! Beautiful! What a privilege to hear about your engagement! (And before your families too! Wow!!) So when will you be making the announcement to your families? :inlove: Will you be doing any pre-marital counseling?? (aka - just another way to help set yourselves up for success!) I remember hubby and I taking a hike in the Wyoming hills and stopping to read a PMC book and discuss differences and expectations based on coming from different families! I have a couple books that I would recommend if you are interested.
    {{whispers to farmlily}} I noticed your reply to me got caught up in the "quote brackets.... oops! :eek: ;) To fix, click the "Edit" button on your post above, then click the BB Code Editor (wrench/paper) in upper right hand corner, then move the "[/QUOTE]" from the end of your post to where I stopped talking.
    ;)

    So tell me... where are you and David both from?? (general locations as we can't be too specific) But wow! Congratulations!! :D

    You made an interesting comment about feeling like you already know me... there is a verse somewhere that goes something like, "I've opened my heart to you, now open your hearts to me..." I've always loved it and it has impacted my life in so many ways - I am so glad it has, in turn, impacted you in a positive way! (Now you have to try and post a little more about yourself so I we can get to know you better here!)
    :D;)

    But back to that sunset: is so surprisingly unexpected to me, to find myself looking forward to my evening dishes! What a blessing to have a daily night show - especially as the house does not come with a dishwasher installed! And with all the moving expenses and things to fix up, I was planning anyway to donate some time and elbow grease to dishes! But to look forward to washing dishes!?! (Wow!)

    In fact, in some strange way, this actually reminds me of my childhood when my mom, dad, brother, and I worked together after dinner to clean and wash dishes - I don't remember doing it all the time, but I distinctly remember a couple happy memories at that old one-unit porcelain sink with enamelled cupboards. It must have been when I was 5 years old or less... maybe 6? I cannot remember for sure, but I think my younger brother even got to help - and he is 2 1/2 years younger than me!) o_O It is amazing the things we can remember from such a long time ago!

    But that sunset... such an unexpected blessing and a special promise of wonderful evening views to come! My daughter took pictures of that sunset from our kitchen window... it was at the end of the color, but I will see if any of her pictures turned out and if so, maybe I can post one here?

    Well, friends, I have loved chatting, but I think I should try a little bit more to catch some shut eye lol! (That or pack up some of our little stuff so we can make the most of our time tomorrow after church!)
    ;)

    ~edit~ Oh Mir! You came to visit too!! It's good to see you! {{{big hugs}}} You will have to come and stop by more often too!

    Lake Francis is a State Park, so it offers lots of things. But yeah the lake is so nice and I love fishing in it when it's a beautiful day.

    That's very good news to hear :D:D

    Nice to meet you now then :D
    I can see you're already a nice person, thank you.

    @davidb1yth007 Very nice poem :):):)
    Also, I'm very happy to hear that :D
    Yes you can fish with a valid Pennsylvania fishing licence.

    8) Hi, CJAT! Thank you for your lovely greetings:)! Yes, farmerlily22 and I are two different people...a common mistake. People usually just call me Lily. As you have expressed interest, a good way to know me better is in the thread Player Introductions, which starts with an introductory poem that David did based on questions he had asked, which are also found further down in the intro.

    I'm so glad you like our avatars....they are taken from a series of "Game Spouse" honeymoon photos we posted, and they reflect our more innocent 'inner child' personas! We do seem to delight in each other with childhood joy!

    I appreciate your suggestion of PMC, -edit-. David and I are also so very good at communicating - about anything and everything - that it sometimes just astounds me, and fills me with an incomparable pleasure.

    And our poetry-sharing/composing provides such beautiful mind-chords/cords.....they sing with delight and bind with joy.

    We are telling our families slowly, giving each the attention needed.

    Our families are quite different! His is very large, and mine is almost non-existent, having been small families for several generations.
    I'm learning about David's family through his stories and conversations, and feel like I'm beginning to know a few...but especially his Mum, whom I am seeing through his respectful and loving eyes...and since mine is gone, I'm pleased to think she will become my Mum, too. In fact, I'm really looking forward to the new experience of having so much fun and family to love!!

    I really like your descriptions of childhood memories! They are the building blocks of who we are, and the sweet reminders of those we have lost, and those we have loved and learned from. Even the not-so-good ones can teach us many lessons. But the ones that can give us laughter at any time....those are special, and can be pulled out whenever we need a lift and a laugh to brighten some gloom or other!!
    I'll enjoy looking for more from your childhood,
    CJAT,...you write them so well!

    And, as with the others here, I'll look hopefully forward to those photos of your special sunsets!!

    8)
    SOLO, Congratulations on your Anniversary!!
    Mirah...what a beautiful name!! Please tell her 'Hello' and 'Happy Anniversary' from us, too!?:D:D

    Btw, you may express your feelings to Mirah to say/write "Mahal ko kayo, Mirah!". It means for "I love you, Mirah!". I know little bit about Tagalog language because I am also an Asian.;)

    Good luck, dear friend!:DxDxD:D

    Just a quick post (okay, not really lol!) But I wanted to say hello! :D (And it is getting late here, and computers late at night do not mix well with sleeping!) ;)o_O:oops::p xD
    It has been very busy here! We arrived on the evening of the 11th, and Jora was off to school the next morning! :D

    It's also been a bit crazy though. Before we left, and during our trip, I had such a strong sense of the peace of God. A few miles from the Illinois border, with our fully loaded U-Haul (and 2 cats in the car) we got a call from the mortgage company... they wanted paystubs from my job in Illinois! :eek::oops: For some reason they did not register that we were moving from MI to IL. Then they decided that me subbing in the schools was not considered reliable income. Needless to say, the closing on the house that Friday got delayed, and we suddenly found ourselves needing to find employment in "our same fields of work" for the mortgage to go through. To make matters more complicated, jobs that my hubby was looking at before couldn't wait for an unknown move date... plus the ones with his company nearby had been filled.
    :oops:

    So we found ourselves moving into a house we did not own, without a single job that our mortgage company approved of, and with a job market that our pastors considered very hard for outsiders to break into. (And when I offered to work at McDonalds to bring in more income until subbing picked up, the mortgage company said, "No." :eek:

    ~edit~
    :inlove:

    Back in March, I had already dropped off a resume at the elementary school in town and met the principal. He had told me then that a local school was closing nearby and merging with his school. He didn't know if any new positions would be available, but rather doubted it as they would be giving priority to the other school's staff. He is the one that suggested that I be a para-pro sub as they always needed them...

    On the 19th, the local paper came out with a job opening working with special-needs children at that elementary school. I couldn't even find it in the paper, and it was only "by chance" that my hubby spotted it in the Legals section. So I started contacting references, and put in my application, updated resume, etc. I had an interview on Monday the 24th, and was told that I would be contacted by Wednesday night. So we waited and waited for a reply... and none came. Thursday morning rolls around and I get a call offering me the position! But the principal says it won't be official until the school board approves it that night. But as long as I don't hear from him, I should consider myself golden and just come in around 10:30 on Friday to fill out paperwork and sub for half a day.

    Friday morning at 6:45 am, I get a call from the principal... o_O :eek: :oops: Inside I am doing this -> :cry:

    The principal wanted to know if I could sub all day instead of just half! o_O :eek: :) :D Yes, yes I can!

    Long story shorter... I start the new job tomorrow! I will be working with special-needs kids, age range of 1st grade - 4th. :inlove: On Friday, I was able to meet the children and the teacher I will be working with, and to figure out the layout of the school. I really like the teacher and am excited to be working with her.

    This will also gives my hubby a bit larger pool of jobs to pick from, as the nearest position with his previous company is an hour and a half away... But yeah, this job is such an answer to prayer!

    {{{happy sigh}}

    Okay to catch up a bit...

    @solo ~ Happy (late) anniversary to you and Mirah! How do you pronounce her name?

    @Lily ~ I saw your post before the edit and out wedding rings are based on that verse. They are 3 separate, but interconnected rings of gold - but different kinds of gold... gold, white (silver sheen) and pink. I will try to post a picture of mine for you.

    Hi SillyGuy - great to see you posting here!

    @Arielh ~ I'm not sure how my daughter's picture of the sunset turned out, but I will look and see if I cannot post it here another time.

    I do want to let you guys know that I am currently praying about if I am going to continue farming, and if so, how that will look. I had found myself playing way too much, and pushing aside things that need to be priorities.

    I am currently considering trying to be a bit more like solo, and log on mainly to say hi and chat... :music:

    Blessings to all! {{{big hugs}}} Love, CJ
