I fully understand both Aluntino's and Mooboy's perspective of not resetting. However, for me, it is not pointless. Yes, we are getting nice CC rewards but why would I want to donate products for in excess of 200k CC per level (x 12 levels is 2.4 million CC) when I can mitigate that hit on my CC balance by donating approx 6k per level? Resetting is frustrating as it does halt the progress of the event but with crops and drops ready to go, all I am doing is trying to improve my chances. Nothing lost at all. Once all crops and drops are gathered, normal farming can resume. Nothing keeping a farmer from either raising high level crops for sale or selling any excess products. That being said....I have enough products in the barn (here on pnp, not on BW) to finish this event with just a click of the 'Deliver' button. I would rather sell those products and improve my CC balance than donate them to Horus when I still have time left to hope for honey. I'm not in a panic but don't want to give away expensive items. If it comes down to the final day and I am still stuck, I will do what is necessary to finish.

Please don't think I am disrespecting either of these 2 fine farmers or their suggestions. I hold them both in very high esteem and have relied on their wisdom more times than they probably know.

My CC balance took a big hit last Baby boom when I elected to purchase breeding stock. They were found at good prices but it does make me want to be conservative now.

I have 2 rooms complete. The other 2 I'm in the last section. However, I have to wait for drops :sleepy:

    puppiesnponies,

You need not explain anything at all -and much more important, you need not apologize for not following any other players' advice, whomever these players are-. It's absolutely fine any approach whatsoever any player follows to get this done: yours is as fine as anyone else's.

My suggestion was only aimed at making people notice/know -in case they hadn't- that CCs rewards were so impressively high that they could help to ease the stress of resetting. In fact, my complete suggestion should have been -provided someone has enough stock now but not a high one- to get those CCs and keep some to buy back the donated products, for instance, but later, in some weeks time from now, when prices get back to normal.

In fact, I did reset in the products towers twice (I have pretty high stocks -over 300, over 2K for timber logs- of all the products they asked for), just because I had the needed sundials -or the time- and told myself I wouldn't hand over anything different than honey or timber logs more than once. Out of 12 levels, 4 were honey -none of these from resets-, 3 were timber logs, but I gave in, and ended up donating 8 pots and 13 ostrich eggs twice (the other one was koi fish). I don't know if I was just somewhat lucky but I had the feeling that honey came along only when not resetting, in a pretty high frequency pattern (4/12).

But, if they had asked for those products I'm really low stocked on -less than 20 of each-, like moustaches, bio-glue or luggage, I'd have probably reset more times than I finally did.

Horus hates me! 5 steps down, 7 to go, and the stupid bird only wants what I have least of :wuerg::cry:. Like meba and pnp, I'll keep resetting until down to the wire, then will probably give in if I have to, but I'm going to fight to the bitter end not to have to give up my good stuff -.-. I just can't bring myself to buy the needed products at the prices they're going for now :p. I've finished Bastet, at least, and can easily finish the other 2 levels, but waiting to start them until get Horus, that greedy birdie, done and over. They were right to label this one hard, but I don't mind, it makes it more challenging. Except when you reset, and get exactly the same requirements. I hate that.:wuerg:>:(

Well, I really did try so hard to resist just donating whatever was required, even managed to reset a couple of times but it kept asking for Timber, Koi, Ostrich Eggs and Cooking Pots anyway so I finished Horrible Horus as quickly as possible (on both farms) in the end! :wuerg:

Again on both farms, I finished the Bastet Statue much the same way - they were only asking for two animals so no problem there. Just need a few Egyptian Treasures to finish the Vase of Nymphaea leaving just Papyrus Scrolls which should be a doddle as I have oodles of tree fruit. :inlove:

Bhodo: I am curious why you have no dates. Do you not have any Date Palms or have you just not put them out? Just being nosy ... though if you have no Date Palms, next G&T I can send a couple your way! ;)

hi pup your method is fine and play it down to the wire as me a and spot box is trying the same method as pups as at this stage you all would have grown all of the needed event crops the next tip would be to grow lady bestow or dantallia if your cac is still running sell all of the harvested crop's to the market and buy the products you are low stock from market to proceed to next level but if you keep lingering product donations for horus these product prices except honey will continue to climb in price making even more expensive to buy to complete the transactionso to move to next step as thesee products could have been brought at much cheaper price earlier during this event it is not easy for those who have low or no stock if these products as all profits I made in the pass I do stock up a reasonable amount of each product just in case they are asked for any given event or new quest this only works for those who have plenty of cc I am one of those farmers I am hoping those hones get asked for good luck I am now finally completed this event I have made 25 million plus cc so far from this event now I need to work out what to spent it on as I already brought 80 sea grape trees for my rainforest which helped me get the remaining treasures drops ;)

My strategy is to get the Tech guy from Cable company out here AGAIN>:( I lost internet yesterday at 5:13 p.m. and it just came back on at 2:02 p,m,. Buffs ran out, harvester I bought with bb's ran out and I had sunflowers in my glade. At least the other fields were semi long crops. Just hope I have enough time to get drops needed. Last level in Vase one (I leveled up yesterday and had just started growing snowdrops, which they want) 5 lvs of Horace of Horace left, 9 lvs of Bastet to do, and all of Papyrus scroll. I've tried being nice to cable company, then sarcastic, then, rude, then b....y and nothing seems to work. So I nicely called this morning and talked to an actual person in the company and not a tech and explained enough is enough. When I want to get on my comp, I want to get on it. Simple as that and if they can't provide the service, see you later. Anyhow, I am enjoying this event and it sounds like lots of farmers are. But I too agree that it would be nice if we had a diff selection of the products. Good luck to all!!! :D:D:D:D

Might finish the event tomorrow. Last one step in the second room & half way through first. Other two finished.
I think everyone enjoyed this event because of the reset & product. Was good to see the stubborn fight between our players & farmerama. You or me ?

Someone stole your market ? Sold better than you ? Competitors Eh ...

I had a very late start to this Event, (stayed in a hermit cabin for 4 days, blizz) so only really started yesterday. I am amazed at the amount of crops that one can gather clearing everything, using 1x1 and CAC! I have enough Papyrus and only need about 1700 of the 8-hour crop.
Thanks all for giving your strategies, it's been very helpful!

:) Very nice stables Doc! Mine are still cooking, so throw a blessing my way.
My trees were so so - except for my first Baobab tree!:D Just two more donations to finish this event (crop and trees); soon as I get the drops.

julie - So sorry for your difficulties.

illy - Thanks for the nickname "Horrible Horus" - it has made me smile when those resets kept giving me the same koi requests!

Thank you. I got lucky. I am so glad meba told me to keep resetting until I got something I could handle. Thank you meba!
Otherwise I would have passed on this event.

Willlow, and all others who have not finished: 1 gigantic blessing coming your way. Good luck to you all.

Now if the drop rate on treasures would just increase to what it was at the beginning of this event I just might be able to finish the entire event.

This game often gives us a trinklet or Gem
Our significant others - we may give to them
but "Horus the Horrible" looks like a stuffed bird.
Wanting a love to WEAR it!: that is absurd !

A necklace of beauty, it certainly is Not.
I could see the receiver getting huffy and hot !
Imagine that laying against my love's chest
Our cat would go hunting ! - imagine the rest !

And not to mention it's farmerama cost
All those product resources, forever lost...
Do the developers think products do grow on trees ?
Oh yeah, some do, but they rarely ask for these !!

BP, this event's mechanism rates right at the Top
But your fashion-sense jewellery :- an almighty flop !
OK we don't have to wear it - yes I do know
It's a vital piece needed to complete a cloud row.

I hope no-one gets this, without all the rest
If you do - please bury it, deep in a Nest !
Hide it behind something tall - I think you'll agree
A photo with That = cracked lens ! - you will see !!!

    nz 20 cent piece

    later....
Oh Dear, Horus has been transformed !!!
By finishing the event, spectacularly adorned !
That former 'dead bird' has now spread it's wings...
And to us in this game, more beauty it brings
I regret that poetically, I was speaking too soon...
Only now, it truly is like a flower in bloom ...

I can see right now the drop rate is not high enough, unless it improves drastically, for me to be able to complete this event without buying gift baskets. I think I can safely say the same is true for all other players who don't have the rain forest. I have done everything to maximize drops that I know of. I have all my land, main farm, meadow farm, and main Bahama farm in 1x1 plots and I have constantly replanted them as soon as each crop is ready for harvest, going back and forth between papyrus and nymphoea. I used all my Super-grow the first 2 days and have been using water and as much manure as I can produce since I ran out of super-grow. I am harvesting my papyrus right now and planting an hour, or hour and a half crop before planting nymphoea for the night, which I will harvest about as soon as it is ready in the morning. Then I plant papyrus, with water, followed by nymphoea with water and manure, followed by papyrus which puts me where I am now. I have followed this pattern every day. I have 148 1x1 plots on the main farm, 117 on the meadow farm, and 73 on my Bahama farm. The glade is full of trees, stalls, and workshops.

I have tomorrow and the next day and I still need 465 treasure drops to finish the entire event. At my current drop rate, I just harvested my papyrus and got 12 treasures from all 3 land parcels combined, I have no chance of coming close to the required 453 I need to complete this event. I can not afford to buy gift baskets so I will be one of the many who don't complete this event strictly because we can not get enough drops. In my mind, there is a fundamental flaw in the event when players can not complete the event without buying gift baskets because the drop rate is too low.

That is a discussion for another day. My question is, does anyone know of anything I can do to be able to increase my drops so I can come close to finishng some of the portions of this even? I am open to any, and all suggestions. This is not a request for donations of treasures. I already did that in the proper thread. Thank you.

Doc425 I think I will just get enough drops, but I stopped the event crops and planted my longest crop over night. It depends what level you're at if you have a longer crop than 8 hours. Its taken me a long time to be able to finish events so don't give up, it will come!
