  2. 20 White Cows - for an essential element in most of the combinations; which means that anyone under breeding level won't be able to complete.

Not even brown cows; white which will take a huge amount of power feed and the market is already devoid of both brown and white cows. Coming very close to another power-feed high breeding event, it seems to be purely another money spinner for BP to sell power feed - with a completely unreasonable number of second level breeding animals required.

Perhaps when the picked the number required out of hat, they didn't consider the maths of this aspect (or maybe they did).

Power feed takes 2 per breeding with four cows per each brown cow, four brown cows for each white cow = too much (edited to reflect updated calculations - agree with subsequent posters) power feed for just one donation. I trust before the event starts, the mods will relay the issues over the 20 white cows requirement back and request that it be reduced by at least half or changed to brown cows.

Otherwise there will be many disappointed and resentful players.

you are absolutely right. This looked great until I realised it was white cows not brown. At that point I abandoned any planning

I'm not saying 20 white cows is not a lot, but 680 PF is far from the correct number...

It's 160 PF to breed 80 brown cows, then 40 PF to breed them into white cows. So without skips it will take 200PF.

less the thirty given as a prize is 170...... but it takes me a long time to build up 170 from challenges.

  6. True Mir85 and I did chuckle before I gave myself a slap, then corrected my post (now you know why I don't teach Maths :) ); I've gone back and recalculated as I was distracted by students at the time wanting my attention (yes, I know not a good idea whilst working, but it's my lunchtime which they think is the ideal time to check some aspect of their essays).

However, regardless of skips which don't always bring the right colour, and might mean you have to breed extra brown or white cows, even the 'extra animal' breeding rune currently gives only basic animals - it will still require between 200 and 250 power feed.

For me, as I have no brown nor white cows I think I'll give this one a miss. I have bought power feed in the past and shall do again; but I do resent just a tad having to buy it merely to breed animals I only need for the event. I have both pink stable and workshop, so have stopped breeding cows. 20 brown cows would have been a more reasonable expectation surely?

Not every player can afford to purchase a couple of hundred power feed and others who can - like me - may not consider it quid pro quo. Especially, as we only recently had a breeding event which again required people like me to breed animals which were purely for the event - again, I did not need either of those as I have both pink stables and workshops.

Apart from the power feed requirements, there's the time needed to monitor breeding and the event specific crops, with an event that is mainly during the working week. I think taking it all into account, I shall just step back and give this one a miss.

I like the new event, its something different. I agree about those expensive white cows but there's still quite a lot of OK prizes to be won without them for non breeding players.

Except for white cows the requirements for this event are way to easy for the rewards given. It has only been 8 days since the last baby boom, that is not enough time to rebuild stockpile of power feed even with mill subscription.

I'm an upper level player and I too am caught unprepared on the 20 White cows. I have 3. I've been trying to breed up to complete the Soup Quest. It's even harder to do because of the poor skips we have been getting lately. The least BP could do is announce another BBD to start with the event.

No Cows, brown or white cows available on my market. They were already sold out when I saw the FAQ...

Yes 20 white cows is a lot to ask for.
Especially considering that without the white cows the only prizes available are:
toolboxes and a sticker -- surprise!
    party spins and a decoration
    a tilia tree and stars

So unless the lamp with the white cows is lit, the event is not very rewarding.
And then there will be the dog breeding in November too.

    8) Well! After reading all these observations, I may just give it a skip, too!! Or maybe play a few rounds at first, for fun...and then skip. TWENTY white cows??? Not.
However....breeding white cows - for sale, may be an option.......
    Very disappointing, BP.:(

when i saw the 20 white cows i thought they were just regular cows.. i had to look it up and sure enough they are a level 3 breeding animal.. i thought there was some mistake.. we just had a breeding event that people were complaining (and rightfully so) about the amount of powerfeed needed to complete that event. now we have to come up with 20 of these white cows.. unbelievable and if this is like any of the past events where breeding animals were a donation as part of an event there will be no BBD to go along with it. on the contrary to another player's post no the event is not worth doing for the measly prizes available WITHOUT the white cows. I dont need a tila tree got many of them and i dont care about the stickers so much. i like them as they are a bonus but not going out of my way to get them. Not really happy with this event before it even starts.

Am I the only one that can not harvest the Fire Fly scarves? They are on the bottom grid and lately the bottom grid will not catch the mouse. When I scan over them, the crop beneath shows up but the scarf will not collect. Is this happening to anyone else?

I like this event even though it looked very complicated when I read the FAQs this morning before I had finished my first cuppa! o_O

Having checked everything (only slipped up on the level of breeding animal - little more PF than first calculated - only lacking a little Rosemary on both farms and Peppermint on Chevrefeuille), I think I am going to enjoy it. :)

I know that the requirements seem pretty steep but on the other hand, the crop levels aren't so high (and I think most of us hate repeatedly planting the same crops for a whole week). :wuerg:

There has to be some challenge and, though breeding outside of BBD is not something I would choose to do, it is another aspect to make an event more difficult without adding tons of crops. :music:

Loving the new event layout and the prizes are fabulous. I am really hoping I can get me an Armadillo and a Crow! :inlove:

Yes, the crow pet would be really nice! It is nice to see some of the newer items as prizes instead of just the "chance" to get one from a wonder tree or stable. The Armadillo and the Achacha will be most welcome if I can earn them.

Since the lanterns stay lit I guess the requirement for 20 white cows is not so bad since there are 7 different patterns that require them. Just don't know if we will be able to get them since they are so high priced. The white cows are now priced higher than those alpine and highland cows.
