Fall weather has set in where I live with temps ranging from 60 to 70 during daytime. Leaves are changing and the trees are gorgeous!! On a diff note, has anyone heard from Suzee lately? I don't think I have seen any posts from her and was just concerned about her.

A killing frost tonight and tomorrow night. It will help the RL farmers get their corn and soybeans to dry for harvest.
Can't wait for the corn to come down as the rut is coming and the deer will be crossing the roads in our area making them treacherous.

I think I'm glad I finished the event early. We are supposed to be getting heavy rain and high winds the next couple of days. They usually make it out to be worse than it turns out to be but being out in the country I often loose internet access if the weather is really bad. Fingers crossed it doesn't go out cause with the bad weather I will be stuck inside and actually have a bit of time to play. ;)

This happened to me yesterday and it may happen again. Yesterday for many hours we didn't have electricity so no internet either. Yesterday it was raining all day very heavily but today it rains less.

You guys stay safe. I was born and raised in So. Texas and still have a lot of family there. After an already stressful week am praying for a few hrs break in the rain here in So. Louisiana so the water can drain some. My driveway is no longer visible and water is rising in my yard. This is the highest it has been in 40 years. We have had 2 tornados touch down today and still under alert. Hopefully won't have to build a levee across my front yard.

We got a little over 8 inches of rain since noon on Saturday. The "yard" looks like a lake at the moment should be OK as we are now past high tide so the draining should start. Hope you get a break soon. :)

Good morning all. A new day has dawned. Sun is shining, water is receding, driveway is now visible. Worst part is past us. Please keep in prayer those who have it coming their way. This storm left a lot of damage in its wake. Lots of homes flooded, roads closed everywhere, boats sunk and overturned, but thankfully no loss of life reported yet. Those of you along the coast please be careful a lot of water coming your way. From Mississippi to Florida is in its path now. Please don't forget to check those outside riding toys before your little ones get back on them, snakes like to hide there. Be blessed and stay safe my friends.

Glad it has passed for you blessedlady. Heavy rain starting now for us in the Florida panhandle, with flash flood warnings up. Forecast is about two days of this before it moves through.
LDCrow, the same thing will happen for my front yard today! Thankfully my house is on a rise, so there will be no flooding issues.:)

Weather here in Tamilnadu & Puducherry. Heavy rains due to low-pressure area-turned-depression. The cyclone, the first in the Bay of Bengal during this North-East monsoon season, is expected to cross North Tamil Nadu coast between Karaikal and Chennai close to Puducherry within few hrs.

We are having heavy rains for several days. Monsoon started here some 10 days back. It has been continuous heavy rain for more than a day here in Chennai & nearby Puducherry due to the depression. It did not turn into a cyclone. But roads & railways, streets, low lying area & houses there - everything flooded. Trees fell due to the wind. Now the depression is 50 Kms away from nearby, Puducherry & it will cross the land within few hours.

Schools, Colleges close & its religious holiday here for 2 days from tomorrow. Examinations for today cancelled. Students would be happy :) ;)

Giant waves lash the old pier at the Puducherry beach, under the influence of a deep depression on the Bay of Bengal today, 9/11/2015. The tree is coconut tree with coconuts - our Bhamarama tree -;)

    The Famous Kuttralam/Courtrallam Falls yesterday

& the Marina Beach - Now the beach looks like sea. Last year few boys floated on a large flat thermocol sheet in the rain stagnant water, here
I feel very excited. Rains always excite people including me:D But I know this is because I am in a safe area. My heart goes to the unfortunate who have their house flooded & for those who have to earn everyday to keep the fire in their kitchen burning.

Very hot here in Guyana, South America. Forecast said it would be rainy but it clearly isn't going to rain today. (Maybe i shouldn't have said that?). Global warming has really upped the heat here!!!! We are celebrating the festival of Diwali/ Deepavali ;)

12ss12, please stay safe. Coming from a hurricane area I would be terrified in a cyclone area. Do cyclones spin out tornadoes?

Thank you Willow & blessedlady2 for your concern. Even though we live on coastal area, this is one of the safest place. (Marina is a metropolitan sea beech- 2nd longest in the world) And I live in 3rd floor - I am very much dry. Didn't go out at all. But the remaining part of Chennai city is floating in water. All sub-ways are full with water. Its night here, so may be flood pictures will come tomorrow. Water drains here easily into sea. The depression has crossed the land an hour or 2 before. Rains have stopped in Chennai. We don't have tornadoes, here. But floods, houses & streets in water, roads & bridges damaged, crops damaged, rivers & dams overflowing, felling of trees, current cut etc. I think we will have few more cyclones as the monsoon has just started.

My cousin sister lives in nearby Puducherry (Pondicherry) where the depression crossed. she told me they have been having power-cuts from yesterday.

@tiageorge Happy Deepavali. No crackers bursting here today. But I think it will start tomorrow. You burst crackers there?
Forecast - Everywhere its the same ? When they forecast rains, there is no rain. Here they forecast that rain will continue for another day or two. But rains have stopped in Chennai.:p
