Game Spouse - David & Lily

Lily was Mine, way up in the mountains
But back in the city, it's all photos and fountains
And photographer Chad is making a play...
Could he Really Take my Lily away ??!?

This glitz and glam stuff and that racy corvette
and when I get near her, she often gets Wet !
And now there's Another beau entering the race ...
An earthling time-traveller visiting back from Space !

He left earth , we later learned, some time ago
And has been watching us, although we didn't know
He showed up at 'Lamb Creek' and dealt with that farmer
Who pointed a gun ;- he was out to harm her !

And then in the park, late late one night
He landed his Bleem Racer - gave us quite a fright !
Skidded through the roses - a scary sight...
We had investigated, - is he alright?


It seems he's related to both Brad and Chad
And, yes, you've guessed right, his name ends in -'ad'
He speaks stilted english - understanding isn't so bad!
five foot seventeen, and his name is Novarad !

Dear Diary!

Well.......and that's not just a 'deep' subject - it's becoming my life!
When I'm with David things just happen - it's so much strife!
What's happened now makes me feel like I'm dreaming...
Or someone is fooling me.....doing jokes till it's seeming
As if I can't trust my own eyes, and leaves my mind whirling!!
The other night we walked home through the Park-our heads swirling!!

A weird-shaped thing suddenly came out of the sky
And fell into some rose bushes!! Oh my, Oh my!!
With such strange things happening...like that farmer with a gun!...
It just gave us a scare, then we started to run!!
We heard our names called, so returned to see
A tall, handsome man walking from those roses, toward me!!

He held out his hand and said: "I Am Novarad!"
Coincidently, a Cousin to both Brad and Chad!!
How weird is that?!! I can hardly believe my senses!!
Oh, for this, my mind has no defenses!!
In a car called a Bleem Racer, he travels through Time
To do good where he can, or to prevent a crime.

He explained he'd been watching me for his cousins' sake,
That he disarmed the farmer so my life he'd not take!
This is just like an old movie - I'm sure you know the one....
And just like in the movie, he has sooo much Fun.....
He's almost convinced me to go for a spin around the Moon!!
What do you think?? Should I go?? Or is it too soon??

To leave my dear David standing here on the ground......
While I go off with Novarad, spinning round and round?!!
How often does one get to go in a Bleem Racer...Spacebound??!!
Should I have this adventure? "In for a penny, in for a pound"...

As for Novarad....you make a very good point for RL!!
However, for the sake of the story...Novarad is cousin to Brad and Chad, who are known quite well. Adventure is part of the Story....and who would enjoy Lara Croft's stories(movies) half as much if she didn't love to have Adventures?!!

You are right about Real Life, though...never, ever go off with a stranger!!!!

Wolfie - what a great poem!!!! I love it that everyone has such feeling for David and Lily!!

But.....Yikes!!!!! I had no idea there'd be such a strong reaction to going to the moon with Novarad!! It's supposed to be for the adventure and excitement of exploration.....NOT to have any sort of relationship with him!!!
Yes, David is the man for Lily (also in RL!!), but she doesn't know it yet - for sure...because in these stories, David and Lily are still teenagers discovering what life is all about, and still too young to settle down yet....even though their feelings are strong for each other. As for Chad and Brad...they are friends of Lily's....and it's David who has the problem with them (understandably!!)(He's so sweet about his feelings for her....!)
Well, it will be interesting to see how things develop (we don't even know yet!!)

I've just told Lily that she just cannot go
And she didn't like it when I firmly said so
Her reaction? - well I should have been ready...

Now, Novarad's on the desktop, having a wee play
earlier, Lily had introduced him to Baby Boom Day !!
I found the Bleem Racer hidden in a farm shed
The hatch is ajar ! and thoughts fill my head!
Soon in the cockpit with controls around me...
That distrusting Novarad - he's taken out the Key !!

Hmmm .. No ignition key, well that's hardly a factor
For years, hotwiring is how we started the tractor !
And some destinations are - I know not where..
But the Moon is easy! It's just over there !!

Vrrrrmmmmm !!! What a noise ! and Power at last !
Now where is reverse? Oh it's going too fast!
Back out of the shed .. racing down the road..
Back through a red light ! motor at full load..
I hear a police siren! And he's giving chase !
Even in reverse, I'm winning this race ....
Stopping.. Turning.. Full thrust and I'm on a roll !
Up into the sky !! This is under control...

Wait... WHO IS There? It is my Lily!
She hops in the seat where a co-pilot would be
She had got aboard 'cause she was mad at me
Oh well, I'll take her to the moon! it is our destiny !
