Hi, this is my first post, so forgive me if I'm a bit nervous (or post this somewhere I shouldn't), I just wanted to say, that I just heard that Alan Rickman, or Severus Snape from the Harry Potter films has been announced dead. He was 69 and suffering from cancer and died surrounded by family and friends. I thought it would be a fitting tribute to maybe mention some of our favourite Snape scenes, quotes or snip bits, I personally will never forget his simple one word answer to Dumbledore, " Still?" then "Always".
RIP to a true British talent.

I am so sad to hear this. I love Alan Rickman in every role. He was an excellent villain, fantastic hero and superb in everything between.
As far as Snape goes, he is truly great in the scene where he finds Lilly...

To be fair, I don't think you can better that, I personally was in a puddle and nearly wore the DVD out rewinding and rewinding...
It's such a shame, and, if possible even more so, being the same week as we all lost David Bowie...

I loved him as Snape, I'm sorry he has died so young.

I'm dating myself here, but so be it. My wife and I have also enjoyed Alan's movies. It started for us in a Tom Selleck movie called "Quiggly Down Under". Alan played the bad guy that you loved to hate. He was very good at it. As he was in all of his movies. I think my favorite line from that first movie is "Elliott Marston: Some men are born in the wrong century. I think I was born on the wrong continent."

He made many more movies in which we loved to hate him (he's just that good). He will be dearly missed.

Oh and by the way, whilst reading the books, my wife held the position that Snape was a good guy. When Alan came to the Potter movies she said: "See, I told ya so!".

    Rest in peace Alan.

A loss of a great actor and musician so close together, I enjoyed them both, may the rest in peace.
