Hooked on Fishing strategy

Mine did the same Arielh. From what I can tell, it means we got the old cloud row in the last event...and I did. I thought I had won 1 of the givers too, but can't seem to locate it...probably traded it off some time but I am glad this came up...I can complete the old row hopefully-feather drop rate willing-finally and fill that blight on my cloud rows haha. happy to be getting a second chance

 

I am doing 2 fields XXL trees and mostly workshops, with upgraded stalls and workshops on Baha. I did some regular lures (to practice my aim in the beginning because I missed the fishing event before) and mostly premium lures. I did 5 regular lures, 16 premium, and 4 deluxe lures and I got 467 points after a day and a half.

 

I had to be away today so I filled my fields with animals. One field I put out 36 Peacock stalls and filled in with ostrichs....I got 35 feathers from that field. It seems the 10/ish hour pens are giving the most feathers. All productions pens are giving feathers too, I also put out Peanut Butter, carpets, chopsticks and bikinis on the islands ...All are giving drops

 

Hello everyone Id like some advice. I am now up to a whopping 133 coins woo hoo lol
Since the 2 cloud rows and all givers are 1250 coins I am thinking that is not going to happen for me.
so if I get the opportunity to get just one, which should it be?
I am thinking the old one because I may not have a chance at that one again.
What would y'all do? wwyd???

I would go for the new cloud row. It has a little lower EP/BEP level but gives you a fish with it and has a cool down time from only 10 hours versus 48. So you can harvest twice a day.
And I never check the crafting rewards from the other cloud row.

 

Having the opposite problem of most folks. I have lots of feathers, from stalls, but not many hooks. It seems that my crops (can grow carnations, others) are generating more hooks than anything else.

 

hahaha CylentLea123, I have you beat with a whopping 138! I am in the same boat, I am not getting both either...I am going for the old one because I left that row unfinished...and will try to grab pieces of the new one-in case it comes up again

 

Hey BoHoKaren, I hear you. I've been aiming for and hitting the "Perfect" spot pointed to in Mooboys' pictures.

I think perhaps it's time for me to own up to the fact that my random luck just aint that lucky. lol

Have no earthly idea how many hooks or feathers or this or that. No worry just yet. Everything is no effort with this.

Yesterday I was sittin ah spell with that character fishin on the bench in the city.

Did as instructed and put a little BAHA animal feed on the hook. Kicked back and enjoyed the time. Was just singin heeeeere fishy fishy fishy haha

All of a sudden I found myself in the water. That darn snag must been by a whale!! hahahahahaha

During our little chat after I dried myself off, we kinda figured that a mill offer would be in the not to distant future. haha

Been thinkin about clearing all the parrot feed again and let a few folks get to feel what it's like to produce a monkey. hahaha

Just curious, any reason why there is no SOS thread or is that just pointless bc alot of farmers seem to need help? This event seems like playing cards--it's just the luck of the draw!! I'm just trying to find a little humor in this event. Can't wait for Fishing Event #3

 

I scored enough coins this morning to acquire the CR and will now go for Wonder Trees

 

There is no guarantee, but it does seem likely that it will repeat. That said, it will likely be a double offering when it is, so you may face the dilemma again. If you are working on your artisan village crafts, then the craft products are pretty useful. Fish are nice, but after a while you get lots of pens anyway. The price is likely going to drop heavily now.

 

After the shock of seeing lobsters in my hook in lures where they supposedly don't like ("but it's meant to be like that, like BP told us all players"), I decided to make only Deluxe lures. Tired of elusive metal discs! Tired of this awful fishing events!...

(*sigh*)

My progress so far is that I'm 205 coins away from all items and CR. That could be either 3 deluxe lures or 23!!

Have everything from miscellaneous except: 10 stars and harvester coupon (Pinkie Pie as a prize? Seriously??) which is 105 coins more. We'll see if I want them or call it quits after the items.

Not really Julie. This event is not like others and I wasn't sure that an SOS thread would be needed. I waited to see if anyone mentioned it and, till now, nobody has. It is a little different in that we are all aiming for different targets (and with three drop items!) so an SOS thread will probably be more beneficial towards the end of the event when everyone will be trying to get their final prizes.

 

Good morning all!! Beautiful chilly sunshiney morning to throw a line. I see that Broke character sitting in my fishing spot. He pretends he doesn't like it but I heard he has quite a fishermans tale (oops I mean story) to tell this morning. Good morning to you Broke as I hand him a hot cup of coffee and a doughnut. Throw him a blanket as he is still shivering from his early morning dip. Gonna catch a few boots as I am fresh out of bait again. Striking up a conversation -- I heard you were having yourself a WHALE of a good time this morning .......

 

IDK if this will help anyone but on this cast, I caught an Octopus:



And this cast netted a Marlin:


Both were with the deluxe lure.

 

Just harvested 4 hamsters and - guess what - 4 feathers! This game is so random that I've stopped trying any strategy. Just harvesting and fishing. I'll wait to the end and then decide what to buy.

 

hahaha. that is the truth djh99! Time to let our need for logic go, and just enjoy the rest of the event...easy for me to say now that I just demolished another field to chase those feathers I only have 1 field of crops left...so my next post will be complaining about not having any hooks
