Carnival Queen Event Strategy

Thank you Mir, but all I see is add and delete and it doesn't give me an option as to which refinement I use it on. I will go back to the FAQ section and reread it so I know more about refinements. Thank you for your kind patience, wisdom and advice.

Click on Add and it will bring up the possible refinements you have gotten so you can pick one to activate.

Does anyone know where to find the leftover candy amounts after finishing the last step? In the faq, it states we will be rewarded for leftover candy we collect & the amount per type of candy. But for the life of me....I cannot find how many of which kind I have. I've checked in other, products...but nothing.

 

At what point should one go to the SOS for drops? I have plenty of baskets, and thought I was off to a good start, but I still need 444 paper drops and 6270 event crops.

 

Brookeham .. haven't you eaten all the candies? did you check your cupboards?

 

You can see here the value of the leftover candies and treats after finishing the last step.

 

Add me to the list of those struggling with drops. Don't know what else to try to improve drops. I thought it would be getting easier now that I have crops with long enough grow times to span overnight but it sure is working that way.

Guess I'll strip off the rest of the pens to add crops tonight and hope for the best. I have a decent number of baskets so far, hopefully I'll get to play the game.

 

Thanks xristos....I thought maybe we would have a breakdown of each candy.
habalala - Yes...I checked my cupboard. LOL I haven't eaten any....I swear!
Aetheria & Shiny.Sparkle - If you find yourself way behind go ahead & post in the SOS thread. I found I didn't have that many drops from trees...but I left them in anyway. We still have almost 3.5 days left of the event...so there is still plenty of time. I found that variety of crops helps(don't just re-plant the same thing over & over). Also a wise friend(sglick) taught me to do a quick round of carrots or wheat between growing event plants...especially when you have all in 1x1's.

Thanks Brokeham, great advice! I'll try a round of carrots between and see how that works. I'm also keeping the sos thread in mind but right now I'm too far behind for it to make a difference. I'll see how I do overnight and thendecide.

 

I agree, thank you Brookeham! I'm over halfway, so I'll wait on posting on the SOS thread. Patience is a virtue that I have not mastered.

 

I have finished the crops, just waiting on between 250 - 300 papers for my farms. Planted much longer crops on mainland, will see if drops increase. Have about 40 baskets on both farms, would like to have more, but there is time. May increase stalls after I get paper to get baskets.

 

After harvesting all my fields with many trees... stables ...workshop 2 fields with refined carnation with water and manure ... i got the grand total of .... 55 papers .... 8 baskets.... 11 paints... I think this is is extremely poor for a long growing crop with the timing of 18:54

I am now starting to wonder if these refined crops do any good
Like i don't believe howie do nothings do anything either
These haven't proved their worth to me so far and am starting to think that they never will

Have been playing since 2010 and have accumulated a lot of animal stables in this space of time ...like many of us have

I cannot go through all these animals to see what gives the best drops in this type of event ...one i have a real life and two the event would be over time i had done that lol


It doesn't bother me whether i win or lose events ...the enjoyment comes from trying ...have lost in many of the events over the years ..
What i am doubting is that refined crops are suppose to help with drops ...I think i could probably get the same result without them and will try that out and see

And i did the same as you djh99 and lost my way and i am still growing them

 

I was so concerned with long time crops to get paper that I forgot about getting enough event crops! Silly me.

I do events for the fun of trying - sometimes I finish, sometimes I don't - I've played long enough to train myself not to worry over the outcome as long as I'm still enjoying the challenge. Works for me.

 

I agree with you both and I sail in the same boat as you. If one wishes to play long and enjoy the game....you should play the game like the tortoise in the tortoise and hare race. Slow and steady....just keep moving...Never feel you don't have this or that in the game....it will one day come to you easily...Never fret because you didn't get this or you didn't complete the event. Just have fun.

 

Thank you so much Mooboy for doing the Maths ... hopefully I have successfully managed to calculate an average daily requirement for the Paper Strip drops!

Edit: I haven't included Candy Baskets ... they are for the Mini-Game so didn't think they would be as much in demand as the Paper Strips but by all means, if you need them, post in the SOS thread.


Here is the SOS link. I posted and was surprise no one else has. Will send later and thank anyone in advance for mine!!!

 

Yesterday at 19:00 I was in need for 266 more Paper Strips. Midnight harvest got it down to 146 and I hoped the overnight harvest on 2 fields with carnation, 1 field with raspberry and 2 baha fields with green tea, would do the trick (only a handfull workshops running).
Well .. it didn't. The game didn't listen to my call. Highest drop was 29 on a carnation field.
The good thing is now I only need to collect another 58 paper strips.

Resume: collected over 200 paper strips within 20 hours, with LL on 26% but without Howies or refinements. It can be done!

PS. sadly no news yet from the Game Team or moderators on the Mardi Gras Bear flaw.

Don't worry frmrlife. It will get sorted out on its own. Take this as a break. May be the speed is slow or ....in Czech Forum, it was announced that mini-game is slow because there is a rush of logging in and that it will be sorted out. So there might be nothing wrong with your computer.

I finished with the crops. Its the paper which I need to lookout after. Didn't calculate at all and so Now I have nearly 1000 extra amaranth crops
