Labor of Love Event Strategy

One Two, here's the post:

I'm from a school in life where whenever one finds someone who openly admits to not doing something correctly and they wish to learn, then I support that individual. In this case all I can do is gifts and remember and have hope that the individual wil get it right.

So I noticed banjoman helping flwrsndnc. I was not going to bother with this event. When reading the above, the desire to get it right was clear. How can I not be with any individual trying to get it right, regardless of what it is and regardless of space and time? So I changed too ......... but happily growing junks for a moment only I hope .... and I am doing the event. I know it's not much to grow junks or send a gift, but I remember why I am doing this and I can go on. This feeling is a good feeling and I'm glad to be here.

So One Two I was touched by the post ......... well I'm probably touched in other ways anyway. (And no need for you to agree. hahaha)

Am I the only one struggling with the Poem drops? I've been a very good farmer the last few days: harvested on time, had refined raspberries as overnight crop and almost everything in 1x1, (apart from a few trees on Glade and Island) but I'm still way short on Poems. Still need 201 letters = 402 Poems and I'm scratching my head....normally I would have finished an Event by now, easy. I'm starting to think I messed up in the beginning feeding that famished Cat too many Letters.

I'm not too worried still plenty of time + I've cleared 2 spots in the Greenhouse to do instant Roses/Carnations, if necessary.

hatzeva, I am with you. Have to feed that goat 30 more times then putting everything in trees for a few days. I need a little farming vacation lol. Best of luck to all and may the drops be in your favor.

 

Yes, I am struggling a bit too Hatzeva. I had hoped to finish on Valentines Day (apropos) but the Poems have been slow to come by even with steady help from my neighbors. Was hoping to hear if someone had found the 'magic' crop or stall that improves performance of Poem drops. BTW I am needing about 180 Poems to finish the event and get this morose Red Panda a happy face.

 

I guess writing all those love poems at the very last moment just wasn't a very good idea.
If they start on it right now, next year Valentine and/or Cupido should overwhelm all players with heartwarming love letter showers!

 

Glad to see everyone else is in my boat, well maybe not glad but relieved to know I'm not the only one struggling on poem drops. I wish I'd left the cat til last now, fortunately I have the panda out the way so I'm dealing with the goat. I've also just realised I miscalculated on the event crop so have to plant more of that . Anyone else in the "bored now" club?

 

Now we see who the real dedicated farmerama addicts are!

Well I haven't read the FAQ yet either the strategy thread so I just grow the event crops and mill for the date of the Fox. I think the presents are better there.

I still need 322 love poems and 20 ribbons. The goat will be the first done, have all the cake bases plus some extra made (just waiting for love letters) and I haven't done anything with the cat yet. Is anyone getting any CAC? I have won some PPP's but no CAC just lots of the usual--ep's, bep's, cc's, sg, ssg, and mulch I know others have commented about the mulch and I agree, what's up with 1 or 2 mulch as a reward?? Kind of reminds me when you get a knickel or dime raise at work might as well just not bother with it I had crops all done and still grow a field here and there figuring it may come in handy just in case I have extra love poems Happy Valentine's Day to all!!

 

I did! And I just don't know why such a gift would come to me. How insulting, more junk CAC!

 

I almost have the panda done and I just missed out on buying 24 luscious bouquets for .10 a pc to help with feeding that pesky goat lol

 

I still need 221 love poems ... doubt i will get that many from harvesting carnations tomorrow..will be a miracle if i do

 

Don't feel bad I know I fed my cat to many Love letters and now I made a myself.

Finished this morning Good thing as was gone all day. Took some friends to the Buffalo Sabres hockey game, great time, and dinner and drinks afterwards Got alot of EP, BEP, and CC's, a few CAC and PPP and PF which will come in handy soon Just making extra love letters now to see what other goodies I can get Good luck all

 

Just 50 more panda cakes needed to finish the event. Those poem drops have really been the issue for me as well, but I hope to be finished after a couple more harvests.

I had no idea you could go shopping and get BB's...What!? I finished the event yesterday ( which is unusual for mwa) but I did have the 100% harvest bonus for 24 hrs! Still growing the event crops to feed the little pop-up dudes, should be growing crops I really need though! I dunno

 

Gap, Shoebuy.com, Banana Republic and Old Navy DBayes! Plus no shipping, and I found so many things on sale for like 15% to 75% off. I normally shop at most of these places so its not like I am shopping just to shop. Also, I did not participate in any of the surveys or magazine subscriptions.
I also wanted to mention that someone pointed out that they had wished they had finished the cat last and filled the Goat and Red Panda first. When I filled the cat it thru off so many items to fill the goat and red panda that it seems to me filling the cat first would make more sense, especially if a player senses it will take till the nitty gritty end to barely finish the event. I know when I finished, I stopped planting the event crop but returned to it, so I could mill more delicious gifts.
My manure has gone down to 220 by the way.

 

Event crop on every square, and All I can do is wait....
it's only two-hundred-and-forty-minutes... = quarter of eight..
I'm not buying speed-up poo, at 795 cc's !!

Some have FINISHED already ! and some well, they have Not !

so back I go and check time left - Hmmm - three minutes less than before..
oh dear ... watching paint dry... No there's a better metaphor !
Because here, we are farming folk, and there is one thing we do know
It is much better to think about;- watching the Grass grow !!
