    Hi everyone
I have got some valuable animals with the last baby boom, but I'm not advanced enough with the breeding quests to use them there. So I was thinking about selling them, but the prices are huge, so I wonder: is there someone that actually buys them?
For example, I have a pugsly that I wish to sell, but it's very expensive and the market fee is quite high.
Is it better try to put it on sale or keep him sitting for better times?
    Thanks

    Hey elena,

I'm not an expert by any means, but I would keep those animals for now. If your object is to make money, I find I do better by selling everyday items like crops that are needed to produce animal feed, or needed for Quests. I also sell a fair amount of animal feed especially feed used for wonder stable animals as these feeds take longer to mill and sometimes it is just easier for some people to buy them rather than mill them.

The only way I would sell bred animals is if there is an event going on that requires them (and you have spares), or you have finished the quest that requires them.

I hope that makes sense and I am sure others will chime in with thier answers then you can choose what to do from there. Everyone plays differently, what might work for me may not work for someone else, there is a lot of good advice out there all you have to do is decide what is right for your style of play.

    Good luck,

Yes, take cookie2840's advice. Please do not sell. I once placed the instructor goat for sale. It got returned back to my inventory after a week. I lost just few lakhs of coins as market fee. :p. So wait for the right moment to sell (that is make sure it is in demand and then sell) or use it- which ever is your choice.

elena - I know it's tempting to sell a higher level animal, especially when your CC's are lower than you like. However, the number of events requiring breeding animals is increasing, and it makes sense to hold higher level animals until they are required for an event. They will sell better then, as 12ss12 said, without such a risk of losing the market fee.

Also, it can be difficult to acquire some of those animals during breeding, as skips are unpredictable, and PF is expensive. IMHO it would be best to keep them for now, and wait to see how this year's events unfold. You may even decide you need the animals to build a workshop or colored stable to advance your farm.

cookie2840 is correct that there are many (less expensive) ways to earn CC's; without such a high market fee. Selling manure during events requiring a special crop is one, and that is easily produced with chickens (which also sell well). If CC's are needed, there are some excellent threads on the forum giving suggestions on how to acquire a good supply.
Hope that helps. Congratulations on getting the pugsly and Happy Farming!:)

Ironically enough, Pugsly is not that high of an animal, though it is higher than what most of the recent events are demanding (unless they change....). The overall demand is based on what the animals can go towards. Those that are used for orange pens tend to be slightly higher priced than other animals. A pugsly is used for just the red pens and the breeding quests. Not a lot of people bother making red pens (they either go for orange or pink more often), but some people are always working on breeding quests. However, the demand is often concentrated around a Baby boom event.

It sounds like you are a long way away from filling your breeding quests. You can keep it, but look at the return for a pugsly first. Likely you will find that you can get other things with CC that will benefit you more. I am happy to have sold the high level animals I got in the past, but not everyone feels the same. Some people just like to do the quests. I have only recently started working on more than the first 4 levels of the breeding quests, but I am also at level 92, am earning quite a few CC every day and have finished most of the plain quests. There is no correct answer, but I would personally say to sell. If it were a husky, I would say save it to make an orange and a sheila enu can go toward a pink, but the pugsly will mostly just help with the breeding quest. That said, I would wait until a bit before the next Baby boom event. BUT, its also key that you price it to sell. A lot of people post animals as a BBD nears and sometimes you find that market actually crashes.. not desperately, some. Watch the market for a few days now, then keep rough tabs on it and get a "feel" for what is selling. Then price it low enough that it will go. Use the CC to either buy items for more cost-effective quests, craft products or even lower level animals that you need.

If you price the items right and during a BBD, they will sell. Whether that is what you wish or not is another question, but also -- the demand for goats has leveled off since they are an older animal, but the demand for the dog family is still high.

Ok, first of all, thanks to everyone for the replies :)
Both your points sound good, but I'm a level too low to take a risk (53 so far), so in the end I think I will keep the puppy for the breeding quest. Thinking about it, it would take too much to make another one in the regular way, so I'll try to raise some CCs in other ways.
Thanks again for the suggestions :)

Hey, that's a great improvement. I have not crossed the 3rd level in breeding quest and reached level 92 few days before.

I got a golden sheep when BBD was first introduced. But still haven't got second one. But the blame is mine. I am very stringy in breeding. Only for the past few months I have started doing breeding events as the rewards are encouraging.

That's true. I placed my Instructor goat when Neon concept was not introduced. But then there was no demand for it too then. We had tree for goat milk too. So there was no attraction to it. I felt happy when it was returned unsold. Really ! Neon concept changed several things.
