I like your poem David, lots of wisdom in it. :)

[IMG] Anyone needs 'second' for the Corn Duel ? We would ensure the corn is of the same length, width, size before the duel begins.
And in addition we will also ensure that mingling sell his Popcorn, soda at a reasonable rate ;) Mingling is getting better than farmer_broke at marketing. ;) Never lets an opportunity unused ;)

All these talks of corn makes me hungry. :inlove:Reading all these post was like reading Famous Five of Enid Blyton- where you will feel hungry after reading the description of foods in the book.

Down to needing 84 tree branches this morning. I'm thinking I'm okay to make it but Oh the stress of waiting!!!:music:

On the better news side, I finally had enough extra goods in the barn to do some event selling. So far I've made 720k during the event. Not in the big leagues yet but this is major for me. xDxDxD

I am finished! :D:music::music: Thanks to all my friends and neighbors I was able to get enough branches from this mornings harvest to finish.:D:D
Many thanks to all my wonderful neighbors for sending me so many branches. :inlove::inlove: Please feel free to send your branches to those in need. :)
Congratulations to all who have finished the event :D and good luck to those still toiling away.:)
A corn shucking duel sounds like fun! :music: We do need judges to ensure that all corn is of equivalent ripeness and the husking is completed to a satisfactory quality. ;)
Lastly, I hereby volunteer my services to be an official taste tester of the husked, cooked corn to act as a tie breaker. ;):D:oops:
I realize it will be a tough, tedious job, but someone has to do it.;):D8)

Okay, I now feel like a complete idiot. I bred 28 sets of each animal lets see that is 112 of each animal and lets not add up how much power feed I wasted, not paying attention.....! I have 21 of each baby animal left over, omg, oh and 25 baby chicks.... I am so angry at myself I could SCREAM lol. I won't but I could lol. I am now making the stupid Diaper Cake. Wow.... I think I had better go do something else before I really screw things up. I thought Baby Boom had started also so I harvested my breeding. Wonder what I will do to dinner? Do I dare even attempt to cook?

I received an IGM from a younger farmer yesterday looking for some help and advice, and promised to post here for them, as they can read the forum, but can't post. This farmer is looking for advice on improving their drops for this event, especially on Baha, since I posted that my trees there were giving good drops. They're level 61, with limited CC and few trees, only main Baha field open. My main advice was to sell chickens to make CC to buy more trees. Also to be sure to harvest park first, work on LL rune, all the usual. I also promised to post for them in the SOS thread, which I will do after I get this done, so if you have any spare gifts, they could really use your help:) (my friends and neighbors can send any drops that might be destined for me to this farmer, as I have completed the event;)). Anyone else have any ideas to help them with their drops?

Finished on my second farm today. Removed my bulk of trees yesterday and used the builder, removed my regular trees and had to replant them. I forgot about the time resetting. xD At least it's finally done. :p

    The DUEL
A foggy shroud of mist etches from the leafless trees at dusk on a desolate gloomy landscape..
Silence reigns as Mir's second produces a silverlined clasped box containing two freshly cooked ears of duelling corn cobs.....I call 'tails' as a coin arches through the sky - landing 'heads'.....

Mir smirks as she selects her cob, butter slithering down over her thermo-glove hand. Her second adds a shake of the finest Himalayan pink salt, as she eyes me.... ready.....
I take her leftovers.... the remaining cob... less butter.... no one offers me salt....

Doc raises a yellow flag... we stand paused and ready... mingling suspends popcorn sales for a moment..
Flag drops !!! I am off !!! chewing along the cob, left... no the other left.... doing my impersonation of a chipmunk....Mir is unhurried....not Even raising her cob to her mouth...WHAT??!?.... Her second is producing a knife and a plate....Mir stands her cob on the plate and ... Cutting off the kernels !!!

Surely not..... " No fair!" I blurt and the kernels that fell from my lips are counted as possibly penalizing spillage.....
"POP" !! Mir's 'third' has cooked a slice of toast! Mir calmy butters the toast, adds her kernels, and eats through her smirky face........

I hear you about cooking! I am so sore today that I barely managed pasta, frozen green beans, and ham. I'm not normally this bad of a cook, I promise. I hope your dinner turns out delicious!

Brightest Blessings to you-- and your fields-- in this Time of Balance.

Thanks for another very entertaining poem david, but I must inform you that corn shucking consists of tearing the husk off the ears of corn, trimming any excess stalk off, and cleaning all the beard off the corn cob so it is clean and appealing to the eye. After that is all done then comes the cooking and eating of the corn. :D:)
Leave it to Mir to think of cutting the kernels off the cob. Thus, speeding the eating process considerably,;) but, as official judge I must cry foul for Mir's second heated her bread. :( Under the official farmerama rules this is considered illegal since it, unfairly makes the contest 2 against 1. -.- The second may not actively aid the primary duel participant in any way. :p They may only act as non participating observers. :sleepy: Their job is merely to aid the primary participant in preparation and ensuring that he, or she has all the proper equipment necessary. -.- Thus, even with your dockage of points for spillage, I must therefore declare david the official winner of the, "Corn on The Cob", eating competition. :D:music::music:
