Also, for younger farmers and those with limited CCs, remember you will need to buy water to mill the product, so plan on having at least 6650 CCs to spend. Chickens are a fast, easy way to make the needed amount of CC.;)

Mir, I meant without CAC or PJ. I've only ever used SG at the begining, by the time I have enough crops to cover my fields I don't have enough SG to go around:p

Thanks to everyone who helped tally up all the totals needed for this one. It makes it easier seeing each item tallied up in a neat list.
Once we get enough starter seeds to fill all the fields, the event crop can be finished in 6 harvests using CAC in all fields set up in 1x1s. It will take 9 harvests using PJ with the same set up. Pumpkin Jam is pretty cheap in the market-- so if CAC is too costly for you, PJ is a great alternative, and will save you lots of time.
This thread is really useful for advice on getting set up for events and maximizing drops. And we need sooo many drops this time! o_O

When you say in all fields do you include the Rainforest?

Yes, it is possible Shiny.Sparkle, you'd need 19 harvests, so you could do it in 5 days with 4 harvests a day, alternatively 3 harvests a day for 5 days and a 6th day with 4 harvests. So if you don't have harvest helpers that is an option to avoid lots of clicking. On the other hand, if you have seeder and harvester I'd say always use CAC. In the time you save you can grow lots of other crops that can be sold to pay for the CAC :)

Yes, Ariel. It equals 964 1x1s if you use all five fields. It isn't necessary to do that though. There's plenty of time to grow the crops needed without tearing up all your fields.;)

Thanks Poppy:) I think I will place 1x1 fields in every land but I won't take out my pens and trees.

I started to add up the numbers. I did everything except the water glasses. lol In other words I did all the stuff that doesn't really add up to much. Then RL interrupted until just now.

After checking my bookmarks for the link posted in the last event for time conversion and only finding the confusing one I was using... I just typed "convert 14:00 CET to PDT" into google and got 6a. Why didn't I think of that sooner?!

Anyone who is at a low enough level to worry about crops... is probably more likely to have problems with drops. In my opinion this is not a Medium difficulty, it is a Hard difficulty. A daily average minimum of 173 is a very high number. Unless, of course, they tweak the drop rate and boost it up pretty high. My observation is that they have been doing some interesting new things with drops, so maybe...

I always use SSG for the first round, unless I forget. LOL! Saving all SSG to use for the beginning of events really pays off.
I usually use it for the second round too, depending on availability and the demands of the event. Occasionally an event is so super easy and my RL time makes it pretty silly to use SSG.
I always use 6 CAC w a PPP chaser. Unless I forget, of course... LOL! That's 6 full days of harvesting for me. But not all of that is event crops.

I anticipate being home all day tomorrow so I will start with my usual...
    1. 10 -- large plots w hedgehog CR, White Innocence, maybe a Fruit Cake, water, manure, SSG, SG, CAC Yields = 90
    2. 90 -- large plots w the same
    3. Three fields of small plots w water. From three fields and CAC I usually net around 1800 crops per harvest. I expect to have time for 2 rounds of this before bed.
    4. Overnight I will use a longer crop for drops. Depending on the time available will determine the crop.
    5. Tomorrow morning I will probably have time for one round of small plots. For the rest of the event I will be quite busy so... Then I will switch over to CFs w WI (and maybe an FC), SG, water and maybe manure.
    6. From then on I will use CFs w SG and water until done with crops. I might be hurting for drops this way so I will make them up at the end, if needed, by using "instant roses" or similar.
Lower level players might want to spend some time deciding whether they are going to vote left or right based on prizes.

Drops are my number one biggest concern with this event. That's a humongous number. Seeing as I wound up short on branches this past event... despite everyone's best help and a ton of extra apple trees planted that will now come out in the morning (been using them as fodder for that Farming Trophy)... what's my best strategy to maximize drops?

    DROPS:
    https://board-en.farmerama.com/index.php?threads/general-event-strategies.10970/

I just planted three fields of "refined" carnations that will be ready in 13h. Just before the event starts. I'll wait until after I'm sure the event has started to harvest. My other two fields are trees, 1 field of 20h trees, 1 field of half 12h / half 20h. I usually get more than 100 drops at the start of an event by doing that.

One thing that is really important with drops is time compression. For instance carnations that are normally almost 19h with refinements and water are 13:01. During the event I can use my "flower" CR and the new Alchemist buffs to further reduce the time. If I decide to use SG I will switch to large plots rather than small plots. "Instant roses" are discussed in the Refinement thread by Arrouquelas. Pick a crop, that with buffs, that will be ready to harvest when you are available to harvest. Harvest on time and plant something else.

Well... I think my schedule for the week just got scrambled... LOL!

flwr, those are Comfort Fields. They are available free to anyone over level 60. I've just learned how to use them myself!

As for drops, I do water almost everything I grow. That kind of CC is no trouble for me anymore. I honestly haven't learned the art of the greenhouse/refinery in this game. Or possibly, that's not really having enough spare material that hasn't been going straight into FS questing or event questing. (It's a struggle irl, too. I'd dearly love to landrace carrots but holy smokes, you need a lot of material!)

BTW, is there any way to make those CFs in anything other than 2 x 2?

ok duh to myself lol I'm just not used to seeing to many ppl use the abbr. for it thanks guys :p;) and no gaura they only come in 2x2s as far as I know unless there is something else I don't know about lol:p also gaura plant your longest growing crop tonight and harvest it after the event starts and each night before you go to bed you can grow your longest growing plant that usually helps with drops :)

Well, another CF question then I guess. I'd been more-or-less planning on growing out cucumbers overnight via a CF arrangement. I think I can make that work with my overnight gap time-wise. Will CF's drop at the same rate as an equivalent time-length regular field?

    8)Just to correct everyone8)
    I'm afraid we need 1064 drops in total, not 1036 drops. (266 x 4 = 1064)
Seems like everyone got confused. Although it doesn't make a big difference, just to correct everyone, we need 177.33 drops per day instead of 173:oops:

thanks penguilnz, Dienstag, 12ss12 for making all those long requirement into
    short summary list!
Also, much thanks SuzeeRabbit, I again forget to check forum & plant something,
Her post let me remember : Use rose refined to cover the lost of time.
I used CF to plant rose, with SG love & Elary bloomer , I only need 8:03 hour.
getting 191Ep on 2x2 is quite goid.

Drops required daily is really high, Hope BP is generous to us

gaura, comfort fields are not good for drops. Crops take four times as long to mature on comfort fields, but the drop chance is only doubled. So cucumber on comfort fields take 8 hours without water, but the drops would be equivalent to a 4hr crop. So you would actually do better drop-wise to grow event crops on normal fields overnight :(
