Okay got a corker of a baby kick on video today.. Just watch the lower belly line, nobody can miss!!!!!

Yesterday's needed full screen and lots of concentration even though baby was awake for longer. The same girl (Katya), took videos of Twiglet and Mischa too but their babies were too shy! About 5 seconds in the biggest kick BUT don't blink or you'll miss it...

A really good day today.. a busy one but wonderful, thank you "reindeer friends" for giving their time to help..Stars all!
Annual vaccination required (+- 6 weeks) for optimal calf coverage & worming and vitamin drench... Most of my babies are easy, I can do 5 alone anyday but my two "wildies"require help and the vaccination meds once breached need to be used within 10 hours. All done...
Planning on sleeping tonight... no worried until mid April... Apart from Taj 2... but done 1 now so not worried any longer..

And who's a chunky Monkey Mischa!!

Oh I seem to be in trouble today... Gave Hector and the other 4 easy ones their jabs, wormers etc in the morning (alone) and in the afternoon, helpers came to help me with Twiglet and Ana... Even yesterday afternoon, Hector was his normal self BUT this morning, I was the Devil incarnate and he was on 3 legs. This afternoon, putting a lot more weight on his back leg and saying hello again (ish)..

Poor baby, BUT maybe next time he is being a pain I'll show him a syringe! At least his vaccinations are only annual and I'm sure he can't hold a grudge THAT long!!!
Had lameness before after these jabs and vet said not to worry & for me to think how my arm feels after some jabs and why nurses inject into our none leading arm. Not nice for a few days but it gets easier, it's just unfortunate that they have to walk on it (leg).
The rest of the herd range in their reaction, some you can hardly tell anything wrong up to Hector who is being a real drama queen...

Bad idea to show him the syringe. Then you might have trouble when you do need to use it! :p

Even horses can sometimes be sore after shots.

    Two updates today...
Can you spot the difference in Hector... (My own style of Easter Egg Hunt will commence tomorrow - but a 6 acre paddock to search)

and I got my backside in gear and built the Taj (mark 2) and this time my spirit level was working, rather than the bubble getting stuck... ;) Slightly more proud of this one.. but only slightly...
So now about a week for the mortar to go off before I can drill (Hubby brought me a compressor for Valentines day so no longer have to ditz about with battery drills - for me the perfect present!!), attach frame and then new trough. After that sort plumbing... Well on schedule for calving!!! :)
Taj 2, complete with a future hedgehog house :) !!!!

That's the difference I see as well, sanddollar! The hunt will be for a shed antler. Have fun!

It was funny, his play today, he rubbed his remaining antler against me and then tried an equivalent of air guitar on the other side and then walked around paddock lopsided... That lost antler wasn't that heavy but he's a drama queen! Bless him.

Oh poor baby, maybe to him his head feels lopsided!? But I'm sure he is a Drama Queen too! :inlove: him and your adventure with him! lol

Oh poor baby Hector.....only 1 horn to scratch/poke Mom aka Karen with.:p His harness looks pretty new. I'm also impressed with how white and fluffy he still is. Is their fur soft?:music:

Kudos on getting the #2 Taj done. It looks so professional! You and your hubby are so romantic....LOL A compressor for your present! Aww....a sure sign he knows what you love! ;)xDxD

The best present is what you need. I once got a pitchfork and 7 ton of barn limestone (for stall floor) for Christmas.

Awwww Hector lost his first little baby antler :inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove: Like a lil kid losing their first tooth! :D
Hope you find it close, and don't have to scour all 6 acres! (I've sorta been there done that kind of thing many a time roaming allllll over my 10 acres looking for horse shoes that have gotten pulled off whenever my horses decide get stupid/goofy in the pasture!!!)

EXCELLENT job on Taj 2! You are SO hired Karen, lol. I need you to come build me a couple of those since you are whipping them out like a pro ;)

Brooke, their fur is surprisingly soft, almost teddy bear like particularly around the head - very cuddleable!

Sweet-Cassi, Love your past Christmas present. A girl after my own heart.

Dilly, the dog and I had a good hunt around the paddock and she found his antler for me. Cheating I know but saved lots of time. It has taken me up to 2 years to find them before now.
