Play It Cool Event Strategies

Well, I can't say I get anywhere near the drops y'all get, but I think I got 100-120 straws all told today. It could be worse. I have everything converted to 1 x 1 and I'm going to be plowing as hard as real life will let me. (I have to plant my brassica crops. On one note on my computer I have notes for this quest, on the other, my brassica planting plan.) I did get (just) to the 30-task point. These fields are just going to have to be my overnight fields, and hope for the best in the morning.

 

gaura, those drops are pretty good for your level, of course it does depend on your trophy levels.

 

Home from an absolutely insane day at work!

Happy with my 218 drops from a mix of trees, pens, ginger and spelt. Looks like most are getting a good start with drops!

gaura - I think you are doing just fine. I finished many events at about your level with a similar number of drops.

 

Like I said, it could be worse. My crop/tree trophy is at 11, my animal one at 7. Been working on those.

 

The event crop has a EV of 18. If you still need to input things on your Country Fair trophy, it might help to donate any extra.

 

I have done 57 tasks (33 on left, 24 on right) and have 50 straws still left to start off right tomorrow.

 

I finished 37 tasks, so am pleased with that. Keeping my farm the same, so I expected to be a little slow. It was surprising to get this far on the first day.

 

I finished one task, the one requiring 5 apples and so far that is it.

About 398 angel apple trees gave exactly 50 drops though.

Have produced everything needed for the event but finally the gazillion you know. So far I am still not committed to completing the event but I am gradually junking up the farm. Have about 185 drops with no special effort or planning. This event is definitely second to my barn objectives for this same period of time.

Since I finished the M6 quest just in the nick of time, I'm beginning to start thinking seriously about the granola galore. Hazelnut is about the only thing I can do the RL thing and grow so I just might grow that part.

Baw, I don't think we can donate event crops. When I started playing we could, and then we couldn't anymore I can't verify this bc I finished my crop trophy (still working on that animal, lv 14) I used to use my angel trumpets bc I had so many (like everyone else at the time) and roses.

 

julie, if it has an EV it can be donated, many event crops shortly after I started didn't have an EV. It was a dash in the barn. You couldn't donate them. Animals are the same way.

 

Well spotted baw There is a rumor in the grapevine that honeydew melon will be a new baha crop (that's probably why it has an EV), but it is exchanged after the event, so we can't stock up on it.

 

For this event, I had a bad start, had passion fruit in my baha + rainforest and yellow chicken coops in my meadow which I forgot to harvest the night before the event to replace with organic cotton. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to have a mixture of stables in my other fields so yielded a total of 110 drops on first harvest. Right now I only have 175 drops, but it always gets better later in the event so I should complete the event...

 

I have a baby farm I tried to donate the 10 original seeds. Although the seeds show in the barn with an EV when going to the fsq the seeds did not appear.

The 5 replenishment seeds from the MM crops always appear in the fsq and I have been donating them,

(The baby farm does not want any ep. As both the seeds and straws are exchanged at the end of the event, they are bad for the farm. The farm only farms BAHA and has 27 drops which it does not want. Too much ep and it will get kicked out of the mentors nest. I want to stay. If drops keep appearing then I will shut down the farm until the event is over.)

baw, I tried to donate them when I was still finishing the trophy and found I couldn't. When I asked a mod they said event crops could no longer be donated to trophy. At the end of the first day I have 394 straws and will need 4 more harvests to have enough crops. Fingers crossed those straws keep falling

 

Based on my results, it has turned out that using 1x1 plots will slightly increase your drops.

In the magical glade, where I used 1x1 plots, I got 12 event drops.
In both the meadow and baha, where I used a mixture of 1x1 and 2x2 plots, I got 11 in meadow and 10 in baha.
In both the mainfield and the rainforest, where I used 2x2 plots and 1x1 to fill the corners, I got 8 drops each.
(Crop used is event crop)

I do not know if the amount of drops I got was a coincidence, so I thought I would post here.

Halfway through the quest. So far progressing nicely in all spheres.

 

Am glad to see we haven't got a sticker this time to play for ...because I am starting to feel cheated lol.... all the stickers in my album are from 2011... 2012 ... 2013....don't know where the ones that I have played for in recent events are ?
