Easter Eggstravaganza

I have already prepared for this Event to get as many drops as i can on my first harvest tomorrow. I am surprised that we only need 250 Pruning Shears for This Event.

Also Easter Lily is an 5 Hour Crops, 1 Hour less than last Event. Also needed almost 5000 less event crops compared to last event. Which means i will be able to complete this event sooner. The i can resume to normal Farming working on Making CC and Completing Quests

But we have to see what the Drop Rate is going to be like at first. I am surprise Magic Trees is not giving out any event drops, this time as i always end up with surplus event drops anyway. I think i start to remove Magic Trees i have in my Shipwreck back into my Park or back into by Barn collecting dust. As i have some Baha EP Givers that can reap good Baha EP Every 12 Hours that bode well with my Dragon and Unicorn Pets.

Gaura and dadadily I have quiet a few Quests to Unlock that gives Harvester Functions. Plus i have loads of Harvester Vouchers Too as i seem to be gaining more of these than i am using. As I am considering not spend BB to renew Harvester Features and use these Quests and Some Harvester Vouchers instead for time being i shame i cannot give Harvest Vouchers to those getting tired of Manual Farming !! The event starts and ends at the same time for everyone, so we all have the same amount of time But yes, it'll be one hour less than the events usually are.

Thanks for the ideas on getting mech. I used the batch from Bahama Bar with the Spring Cleaning Event and the batch from Gertrude's Eggs for the Play it Cool event. I don't have any other products in enough capacity to be able to do that during this event. (Remember, I fund FSQ completely through my own efforts...)

What is the time required for a 5 hour crop using water? Water and manure?

 

Water reduces it to 4 hours, water and manure to 3 hours 36 min

 

I agree there is a huge amount of strategy required for an event like this. Sadly, it is not clear, at least to me, which way to go this time. So I have a little bit of everything out, hoping to find the best drop givers. I think each event is tweaked by BP a little, so the past successes don't accurately translate to future best practices. After the first harvest, I really look forward to hearing from all those who reset their farms and went all in with specific trees, or with specific crops, etc. I really enjoy reading everyone's analysis of their results. While it would be nice if we all get a nice big pile of shears to start with, I anticipate a very stingy drop rate. My advice, send shears early and often. New players should consider going for the rune that lets you send seven gifts, instead of just five. It was definitely worth the investment of stars for both of my farms.

 

Whew next event already...I don't think my clicking finger has recovered from the last one yet!!!!

My strategy this time around is to try and be relaxed about it. I sorta panicked about the crops for play it cool then forgot to keep track and ended up with way too many event crops. So strategy is also to keep track of how many event crops to avoid a repeat. KISS principle for me!!

 

Using CAC and the 3 mainland fields after using Mooboy's Event Seed Nuking Strategy this would take 8.5 Harvest to get the Event Crop portion completed. I have deactivated my Auto-Harvester and have 5 fields of trees (and 4 pens). Will let you know how trees only paid off.

Am I to understand this correctly that there are no stars given for completing this event?

 

I cleared all of my fields and grew only crops for the Play it Cool event. Once I had all of the event crops I needed I began the process of returning my fields to FSQ shape. I've done some thinking about this. Crunched some numbers and come up with a solution that isn't quite as radical as my actions for the last event.

Seeing as nothing gets done FSQ wise when I clear my fields, I've decided to leave everything in place. I'll have my main field and the main field on the Island to grow event crops. The two fields have a combined output of 1560 per harvest. According to 12ss12's list I need 15,000 Easter lilys. I divided 15k by 1560 and came up with 10 harvests for 15600 (50 hours).

Now here's the question, (also a good reason why I rely on you wonderful people to do the math for me), I think my figures may be off due to the amount of seeds needed per planting. 202+188=390. 390x10=3900. So according to this wrinkle I will need to add three more harvests for a total of 13 to gain the amount of event crop I need. Yes?

 

Higher math is involved sirpippen, but it is 13 harvests after you have attained growing the starter seed from 10 to the 390 needed. After briefly reconsidering following your 2 field model, I think I will stick with my usual strategy to strip everything. I like that my harvesting is all done at the same time, but more importantly I want to minimize the time required to invest in machinery to do all the 1x1 clicking. My goal is to finish crop growing as quickly as possible while the machinery is working and hope that 15 hour plus stalls and workshops will provide enough drops to finish.

I have been using a modified event strategy for events for some time now. Between the meadow, the main farm, and the main farm on the island I have just over 300 1x1s. I keep all my trees out and stables in the glade and the rain forest. By doing this I have been able to finish all the easily, but the big drawback is it takes a lot of time. Aetheria brings up a good point about conserving harvesting coupons. I may rethink my strategy to do so. I just hate tearing my whole farm up for every event.

 

@Aetheria14, Thanks a heap. Of course this is counting Full Fields, after starting with the ten seeds. No point in counting the build up as it's nearly all used to get where I need to be.

I hear you on the clickity click stuff. I get some serious hand cramps after a while clicking on the 1x1's.

I do not need the equipment many times. But when I desire to, there are FSQs which offer equipment as the reward. Because the equipment is immediately activated upon completion of the step, I do not do the step until the equipment is needed. After several years some are still available. They do get more expensive though.

I really have to be fed up to use a coupon and not try and use the time to my advantage. The coupon activate the equipment upon our decision to start.

Sometimes there is a piece of equipment on the farm wheel which can be won. I have learned the hard way to spin the wheel before harvesting if I intend to spin the wheel that day and the equipment is present.

 

I know Aetheria already answered you but I just want to add something. Instead of considering the harvest output to be 1560 (4 x 390 small fields), consider the net harvest 3x390= 1170. Now 15k/1170 is 12.8, so yes, you'll need 13 harvests. Now you avoid the extra step of having to cover the planting seeds too. In the end you add the 390 starting seeds to your total net harvest. For instance, if you do 13 full rounds you get net harvests 13*1170= 15,210 add the 390 starter seeds and you'll get 15,600 total.
