I'm such a dufus!

In the monkey temple there are certain items that show a bb purchase along with a golden banana requirement, like camel or panda breeding and 3 high level trees. So for months now I've been ignoring them because I couldn't afford the bb's to get them. BECAUSE I thought that you had to open them with bb's AND gb's. But I've been working on the Castles in the Sand quest and when I saw the bb sale today I decided to just go ahead and buy the 400 bb's (actually I had to get the 575 bb's) needed to open at least camel and panda breeding so I could continue to work on that quest.

Lo and behold when I went to open them I clicked on the gb's and they opened and DID NOT take any bb's!!! DOH!!!! Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled about it! But I thought I had to pay 200 bb's each plus the golden banana's! Sheesh, I feel like such a dufus! But now I got 580 bb's to go play with lol! What to do, what to do.

 

Nice to have those BB's, but think carefully about what you want to do in the game before spending those BB's. Putting some away for a rainy day is also a good policy, IMHO.

Congrats on getting the camel and panda breeding open; they will be needed!

 

Oh I'm so glad you said that! It reminded me that I'm gonna be needing power feed for the camel and panda breeding. I already bought something for 50 bb's but can't remember what now but the rest I'll definitely be saving for a power feed sale! Thanks Willow!


edit: it was the rent a super friend I already bought just cuz I wanted to see what I'd get from him lol! Already got 10 salt so not too bad so far.

 

Oh yes...done some doopey stuff and will most likely to continue to have "duh" moments

I, too, held off buying because of the price. Happily discovered a few weeks ago that all I needed was GBs.

 

When I went to open the camel breeding I almost clicked on the 200 bb's button first because, you know, I figured I'd have to click on both and english is a left to right language kinda thing. But I stopped and out of character clicked on the banana button first, WHEW! I was wondering if I was the only person in all of farmerama who didn't realize it was one or the other and I'm so happy I'm not the only one lol! Now I wonder if anyone ever clicked on the bb button first...

 

Oh most definitely...the bananas were very confusing, esp in the beginning. I recall doing something like that but on the mainland. So angry really did want to hurl the laptop.
Its as bad as paying over and over for farm wheel tixs and hope u get a butterfly pen...I remember I did that...stayed up all night and kept buying spins....I probably needed a Farmarama intervention then...

Currently, so annoyed with the shear drop I am literally twitching to buy BB's & be done with the shears and done with the event...I have that last 10O to dontate. need 60 more...ugh

When I first started I spent ALOT of time trying to figure out how to catch that deer that always walks out on the farm. I just KNEW he could be caught. I was dumbstruck. After I found out he was never going to be a pet I felt so stupid. Then I read in here that others have thought the same thing. It's nice to know we are not alone

Thank you VERY MUCH for pointing out such an important issue.
The game has little to no explanation about many things.... !!! as well as the one you just described.
I am sure I am not the only one was not even going close to those chambers because of BB price on them !
There should be at least an explanation that it's one or another!!
Most of us think its both....
There are many more things in game that could use some clarification.
