Randomness is the weak link in this event. I am having to grow so many extra crops in the 'hope' of getting the right symbols.
A better way would have been for the symbols to have been giftable.
I believe a lot of newer players could be put off playing by this event because, regardless of our level, we all want to complete everything.

I would rate this event as difficult - at least then I would not have been so disappointed.

In hindsight I would have given this event a miss, which is a shame as the tiki calendar is wonderful but does not make up for this event.

Just want to share how much my wife and I appreciate the event themed backgrounds we're seeing. Compared to the same static backgrounds when the game first started, these themed backgrounds keep the game fresh for us. We really enjoy the variations.

:)I enjoyed the quest even though I had to grow an extra 300 of 1 crop because of the random tiles. I was also pleased that BP gave us 10 seeds of each crop to start with, I hope that will be same in the future. :)

The random factor has taken the fun from this event for me. On my 2nd farm, I have grown enough crops and collected enough drops to have completed the event, but because I cannot get a specific key, I must continue to slog through growing more crops and worrying about drops. I would also rate this event as difficult due to the high number of unknown crops and drops which is way beyond the amount from the FAQ. With 10 extra keys of the 'wrong' kind and still needing 10 of the 'right' kind, it has added to date another 180 stone tablets and 1850 each of the event drops with no guarantee that the next 10 keys I try will be what I need. This is above the daily average for stone tablets and has added extra days of growing time. Because I am lacking the wave keys, I don't have enough of them to get through the temple with the cloud row and givers. That takes a minimum of 8 (ignoring the CAC from room 1 and taking the sticker to minimize the wave keys) and 2 rounds though the event rooms. Additionally, the primary reason for doing this event for me was the PF but I cannot at this time get the PF and the cloud row as it will take all three rounds of visiting the rooms and without the right number of specific keys, I am stuck. I have 4 wave keys. So far, I am not worried about getting the wave keys as we still have time to work on the event but it is annoying and that annoyance grows with each harvest that does not produce wave keys.

I concur with the others about the randomness of key production. I keep waiting for a triangle shaped key, which is holding me up from advancing. On the positive side, I do like that we can choose which door to go through, and that the options would appeal to a variety of players. As a more casual farmer at level 82 in the main farm, I am always interested in the rare tree prizes. For those players who may be more aggressive and have the rare trees they need, they can pursue party wheel tickets or SG, etc. The amount of crop for the keys are not too demanding, so that is also a plus. For me, I am not sorry that there is not more of a Baha focus. With the more limited growing capability of baha, and the high demands for GB to earn each crop/tree/animal, requiring baha products are always more difficult challenges for me. I can imagine that it is hard to create events that appeal to everyone. This event would be more agreeable to more people if the randomness of key distribution were not a factor. Thank You.

I like the doors and being able to choose which prize I want to receive, but I am not liking the randomness of the keys. I don't mind things being random, but there should be something to even the odds of receiving any key. I am getting lots of circles and triangles, but very, very few wavy flags. If I knew that I wouldn't get more than, say 20, of any one key, I would be much happier. That way I would have some left over to earn some coins and EP, but also know that I would have enough of the keys to complete the game. It would also make it easier to plan how much of which plant I needed to grow to finish. We're halfway through the event and I have no idea what I need to grow to finish everything.

I'm also one who is not a sticker aficionado. I played with them to start with, but there is not enough room in the scrapbook to place them, plus I don't look at them after I get them anymore. It's just not something that I see as an incentive in any event.

Because the keys are random (except the square ones), the crops needed and the drops needed are more than the minimum required. Way too many crops/drops needed for each random key. Definitely a hard event for a poor CR. Because I can't get the needed wavy keys (but have more than I need of the others), I will most likely be unable to complete this event. Not sure if I should even care. Please don't do this mechanism again.

Didn't think I'd like it, tried it, hate it. I have grown way too many crops to turn in for keys I don't need or want. Worst idea ever and the first time I have ever truly thought about giving up half way through and event.

Come on BP... Don't you think us farmers already suffer enough aggravation and frustration from randomness in other aspects of the game's events (usually the drop rates and especially the BBD results!)? Seriously, what happened? You haven't gotten enough negative feedback regarding random in the past, so you decided to whomp us over the head by giving us an event that was ALL ABOUT random? Holy moly! o_O I would have much rather have had to grow a 3rd event crop and be able to exchange the exact crop combo amounts to get the correct keys we needed to progress from room to room, rather than deal with the ridiculous randomness mess you have us tangled up in for this event. I've gone 2 full harvests (5 stripped fields = 1 harvest of lobster claws on both Island fields, and 2 harvests of silver vases on the 3 Mainland fields) just trying to get ONE little circle to progress to the next room, but nooooooo wave wave triangle triangle triangle wave... blah blah blah>:(. Our progress being held back by this random key BS is not fun. Just annoying!

The fact that there is no map or any way to back up and see which doors we've opened (without taking notes thru the entire event) is also annoying... it's next to impossible to keep track of how many more crops we need to grow and which keys we'll be needing if we've lost track of which doors we've opened -.-. Being able to easily click on a link to look at a map of our progress would have reduced SOME of our frustration, and also would have been an easy task for the game devs to include. Tsk tsk.

And at the very least, for all our effort, troubles and frustration from this event you could have rewarded us with a 2nd set of givers, like many many past events that required less of our time have rewarded

While I do appreciate the change-up in event design... this one is a major flop in my book. It could have been easily improved upon prior to it going live. :sleepy:

2 things I do like about this event... the graphics (great as usual), and the drops are decent again. Thank you for those 2 positives. :(

Consider simple "fix" for the randomness (without deleting it completely, as it is a little fun): everything stays as now, but you can ALSO trade two any signs for chosen one. (or three signs? or two with some additional cost in CC? details to be decided) This way we save the randomness, but limit it to some acceptable range.

Also, to all complaining players: please note that somehow non-random squares were (I guess) attempt to make part of the event accessible also to new players without any problems. It seems that it was not enough for those who want to finish the whole event, but please appreciate the try :)

I must agree with what so many others have said about the curse of random keys. There is no fun or challenge in constant growing of crops to try for an elusive key - while also having to deal with drops being burned up on keys you don't need. I am three steps from finishing, but must once more go back to working for drops and growing event crops because the needed keys won't come up.

Sorry, but for me this event is frustrating and disappointing; dulling any pleasure in the prizes awarded. The only positive is the number of drops are nice - but they are burned up quickly on unnecessary keys.

I am also not happy with the "random" keys that aren't random. 24hrs without a single wave key is frustrating.

I did enjoy the artwork though.

I agree with most of the above comments. I did not like the random acquisition of the keys! First, we had to grow quite a few of 8 & 4 hour crops...but then when we thought we were done....and started to turn them in....we fell short. Then it was back to the fields to grow more and as stated many times.....work for more drops. This sucked the fun right out of this event!!!!

My other disappointment with this event......was it's name on the Calendar. It was supposed to be a Baha Layer Event, Temple of Doors". I was hoping & really looking forward to an event involving the island. I thought perhaps we would be asked for baha crops/animals or tree fruit. Or that we would get a new item for the island as a reward for finishing the event. But NO...all that involved was the graphics, which were fantastic, as usual....but nothing to do with the island what so ever. :(
I've read in the rumors thread, that new things are on the horizon for the island. I hope we see them soon! Because I'm bored with only new trees(that we have to purchase) and nothing else.
I guess I'm still upset over the coral reef disaster.

I agree with all the above comments and too many greedy quests now days! I quit growing the event crops to get all the wrong random keys, Yes I got the cloud row and items to fill it but, I've grown enough crops and bought four Lg baskets to do so plus, I BB'd out and to not get the last prizes of two CAC's etc...I hope to never see an event like this again:cry:

First of All I would this Event Should have be Bahamarama Island Based Event, so Grow Event Crops on Tropical Fields only, or Require Island Crops.

It is almost non existent Events asking for Island Crops. As I do not see the point of Growing Island Crop since i have sufficient stock of island crops in my Barn there is not much i can do with them at the Moment

I am too Dislike The Randomness of Keys as it took out the Fun doing this Event. As Events are there for us to Enjoy doing these Events.

Love the Graphics and Opening of Rooms it just like Temple of Doom Film with Indiana Jones That is only Thing I like

We have often given feedback on previous events, it just too often BP still not listening then sometimes they do listen to feedbacks then they refer back to old ways where we have to bombard them with Negative Feedbacks Again Again....it makes me Ponder will BP ever LISTEN !!!!!!

I am not enjoying this event!i find it confusing and seem to be growing thousands of crops and never having enough because of the randomness of the keys I will just muddle along and hope to finish!

  17. I have to agree with every other comment; this is another fairly mundane grow and throw event, which is made difficult only by the fact that you have to rely on the system giving you the right symbol. I've finished the left hand door; and for a whole day I keep growing crops and tossing them in, however, so far I have five triangles and five circles, but no flag shapes. I may even not finish the event, purely because I have too many of two, but not enough of the one.

The whole theme is Baha, except for the actual prizes, which are the predictable no-need-to-mention .........................

Why the need for 8hr crops, when the random side takes more of these - couldn't we for once just have 2 x 4hrs, unlike the developers, I have an outside life, which means I cannot just drop everything to harvest as and when.

This isn't challenging, which requires a certain amount of skill - this is a gamble and hope you get the right shape. As others have said, it would have made a difference if you could trade the shapes for the ones required.

Even the mystery trees and stables are losing their appeal, mostly they go into my inventory to join the ones I already have in abundance.

Whether this will cause the relevant 'powers that control whatever is done in the game' to take note is moot. It's not whether the comments /feedback are passed on - I'm sure they are, it's whether they consider them valid and worth taking notice of.

I do not like the randomness of keys. Getting 8 circles and 5 triangles when I need the other puts me off quite a bit. Means there is no planning or strategizing. Just pure dumb luck if you get to finish - which if the randomness (or non-randomness but purposefully not giving me what I need) continues I won't be able to. Not for lack of trying - just for wasting crops and drops on items I do not need.

I do not like the randomness as so many have already expressed.

I didn't finish your first fishing event because of the randomness in the award of the givers which was a huge disappointment to me as I have played for 6 years and have been finishing all the events I wanted. Now, because of the randomness of the keys, I am sitting at needing 2 triangles to finish the events last 3 doors and have spent 2 days just spinning my wheels and getting no where. It is very frustrating as my weekend will be busy and this may be another unfinished event.

This isn't random.... it is sameness ......I am getting the wave EVERY time ....exchanged one before I went shopping came back two hours later ...tried another exchange ...AND guess what....I GOT another WAVE :(

Have got 18 waves one after the other ...5 circles ...NO triangle .... NO squares
And this is random ???... SAMENESS is the word for it

Just tried another exchange and got another WAVE
Another exchange and got another wave

I don't see finishing this event ...and I have been harvesting my fields as soon as they have finished EVERY DAY to put YET MORE CROPS IN And wasting my time

In fact I have spent hours getting no where ...but have learnt another lesson
