About next steps...

So... I have almost all fields opened (including rainforest), except last extension for bahama which is somewhere crazy late in the temple. I do not have much money (250K CC) and I wonder what should be my next goal. I see following posibilities:
* Clouds enabler quest, which is crazy expensive
* Artisan workshop (probably confectionery)
* Pens/workshops focus (if so: should I skip yellow/oranges and build reds+ maybe?)
* Some specific path in The Tree?
* General gorgeousness?

Oh, wise ones, please advise!

 

Congratulations! Here are my thoughts:

• Open cloud row: expensive, but worth it. Note that you can get the flaming steer needed for the last step from a rune on the three of wisdom.
• Artisan trades: I'd hold off for a while. Hardly anything worth making if you compare market prices of ingredients with market prices for the finished products. Another thing you should consider is that as long as you don't start any trade (none of the 5) you get the drops (salt, sugar, wire, elixir, mandrake) for all of them. When you start a trade you'll only get the drops from the trade(s) you have. So if you wait a while you can gather some extra drops.
• Building upgrades has become very expensive with the increased price of colored animals. I used to like making them (especially red ones ), but I have stopped completely. Now I trades for the ones I want during G&T.
• For me, the living legend rune was top priority after getting the land since I hated dragging the trophies around. On the way up to that you'll open lots of other useful runes too. Other than the LL rune the baby boom rune is very nice. Then there is the rune that gives you cloud rows with pheromones, salt, sugar, albino bat and brown pig.

You have listed different things to acquire/work towards, but what would you like to achieve? Leveling up quickly? Filling FSQs? Earning CCs? Filling your barn? Get your farm in shape to complete events "easily"? General gorgeousness?

 

@fluffykiss, Your goals look good and in order as you are at lvl 35 by now. Do you have a Mentor that can help you with getting trees and pens? Yes, please skip building Yellow pens and go for Orange and above as you get more animals instead of only one. Also, IMHO skip XL trees and go for the XXL trees...I can help you with these during the next Gift/Trade event, but you will need to send me an IGM to remind me along with your wish list!

It is because I was reading the forums and using suggestions of experienced players - sometimes with my own optimizations. Overall low lvls are easy and fast if you know what you are doing - right, @farmer_broke? And that is why I am asking for advice now

 

I went straight up the tree and opened the living legend rune, then I went for the baby boom one. I think I'd do the baby boom one first now though with all the breeding events going on. I agree with Mir about the cloud rows - they can deliver a lot of ep with minimal effort.

 

Right, the baby boom thing is something I do not understand. Normal breeding works like that: you put 4 animals and you normally get one breeding animal, right? And this rune says that you have 20% chance to get 4 animals (exactly what you put) or on breeding animal. I guess *additionally* is the missing word here?

 

normal = 4 original -> 1 next breed level

with rune (20% chance) and/or during BBD (100% chance)

4 original = 1 next breed level
+ up to 4 original
or a skip to a higher than next breed level
or a combo of these

Not necessarily, if you bred colored animals the 4 animals from the rune would still be regular/basic animals. But of course in addition to the normal result as habalala said. There are however some fine distinctions worth noting:

Standard breeding, put in 4 regular or colored animals and get

• a colored animal at the next level or higher

BBD bonus:

• 2 regular animals or
• a colored animal of any level

note that if you are breeding colored animals, the level of the bonus animal can be higher, same level as you put in, or lower (if breeding colored animals of level 2 or above).

Rune bonus (20% chance):

• 4 regular animals or
• a colored animal of any level

BBD and rune bonus combined:

• 6 regular animals or
• 4 regular animals + a colored animal of any level or
• 2 regular animals + a colored animal of any level or
  
• 2 colored animals of any levels

I am not sure if Mir85 and habalala have mentioned the pink jelly needed during baby boom...cuts breeding time in half

 

Just add a little on baby rune,
Fluffkissu, with the rune open,
on BBD, you may got a chance to have:
Breed 4 animals got 3 higher color animals.
I got this few times on recent BBD.

So, it's really a helpful rune to open.

 

Most definitely open the rune...with that and the pink jelly u will be fine. BUT you really should only breed on Baby Boom, IMHO, bc thats when u will get more for the price of 4...YES we have asked why do they need 4 animals to breed instead of 2...no one is sure.

 

I was preparing myself for breeding event. I bought loads of pink jelly over week ago (but initially I thought it speedups animal production.. a little fail) and I am gathering chickens and event animals slowly.

Rune sounds good, but I am not sure if I can collect enough stars before the event. I must do The Math

ohhhh I get it...u meant animal production of your pens/stalls...right? Bc for breeding its cuts the time in half plus the rune u can breed every 15 min or so.

 

Actually I might not understand this mechanism completely... You can have 132 parallel breedings, right? And each takes 4 animals, so with all buffs you would breed 528 animals every 15 min, or 2K animals every hour. That is crazy amount. Not to mention 1K PF you would need every hour - do you really have that? I don't, not even close! For me this buff is literally useless!

The buffs at 1st seem to be useless, waste of stars/crops/time.... But think about it. Don't push everything to the max think on if I only have XX amount of power feed, and if I only want or can use a couple of buffs what will get me the max for putting in a few?

Ask the die hard PF makers, ming farm makes a bit but they go full on milling as much as they can, using the runes make every breeding worth it.
If you read the past breeding's, you will see a buff here and there help you in the world of breeding as you don't measure by the max you for me, go by what you can fit in the rotation of farm space use.
Buffs if used right <I'm still fine tuning this one> can make min. 40% of the time go ~poof~ on everything, breeding/crops/animals and trees.
It and the refinements are a thing of the farm you should really go deep into the full use of, but if it's not your thing then hey, no worries just grow in go and you will get there too.
