Pick a tree spree

I like it, But as you say Barkingcat I hope we still will have the old mystery seedling this way no XXL? that not so nice.

And I want the Catalpas! I was a bit sad as to not the rare I dream of but it is ok for the one they offer just bad word use.

 

Thanks everyone for spending the time to help clarify how this mini event works. I clearly misunderstood the information that was provided. I now get that the selections I'm making are what I am wishing for and that is what I'm paying 5BBs to get.

I clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I think I'll go back and roll over to the other side. My steam has worn off. Shucks now my FOCD might come back and I thought the sour grapes might help me control the FOCD.

I have learnt a lesson from this event. and should have done from the last one ..to NEVER EVER partake in events such as this ...because random events you very seldom win what you want from them
Now I am off to cook my Mousakka I made this morning
Am not so disappointed that I got a 40BB tree for 5BB's...BUT wish it could have been something that I hadn't got already..sometime you get a little fed up with
getting the same over and over again and to be honest I didn't even know the value of this tree until I was told about it

I tried it out and now have to say I am happy. I bought 20 chances and got 1 chequer (my real goal), plus 6 Christmas trees (always like these!) and a chestnut. All are things which I would trade for in G & T. and the BB was less than buying one of the (gauranteed) packs.

recipe? Pleeaaase......

 

I am very pleased with this mini event. I acquired some trees that I have wanted for a long time. I got a few (4) on BillyWhiskers and all of them were needed/wanted to help with the Magical quest.

 

Overall, I like this Pick-a-Tree-Spree!! Just think for example: If you get a Ginko tree as one of the random choices - for only 5 BB's - you have saved 35 BB's, as they cost 40 BB's to buy them normally!

And it gets better...Normally a Gold Leaf tree is 55 BB's; so is a Mirabelle Plum 55 BB's; a Christmas tree is 50 BB's; a Chestnut tree is 60 BB's!! But we can get them in this Tree-Spree for only 5 BB's each!!

And a Chequer tree, or Dogwood, or Yellow Trumpet tree....for only 5 BB's??

I got a ginko - very happy about it. I have 3 so more are welcome when I'm building up stock. Off to try my hand at a few more.

 

I caved and tried 3 times. Got 2 Tilia and 1 Dogwood trees. Not bad at all.

 

Well - I gave it a try with two. Got a chequer and a dogwood. Am quitting while I'm ahead!

 

Well done Willow - I decided to round it up to an even 10 and got two chequers and a few other different trees I was happy with so also quitting happy!

 

Hiya, just thought I would add to the comments!! I am loving this event since I have not been playing very long and didn't have most of these trees. Soooo, I'm happy happy happy!!!

I'm glad you all have the will to quit lol I spent over 300 bbs to get what I really wanted on one farm and I didn't have to spend near that much on my other farm lol thank goodness but I am happy with what I got for the most part I just wish I could say enough and be able to just stop before I end up spending to much of what I don't have lol it all happens so fast you go through it before you know what hit you lol

 

I'm loving this Event! Especially the insta-finish part of it! Very addictive and a new cash cow for BP!

 

Tried a few too many times (not as many as Marly tho, lol), and I didn't get exactly what I wanted, but what I did get I can and will happily use extras of on my farm (gingko, golden leaf, xmas... and I can't remember what else I ended up with, since all my trees have been stuffed into my inventory so I can manically grow full fields of event crops over and over and over).

Overall this was a positive experience for me... especially since we are only donating 5 BBs per try/(tree?), and not the 8 trees PLUS the 5 BBs! XXL upgrade options would have been nice to choose from, but maybe BP will improve this mini event and grant us that wish next time?

 

Well, I finally decided to give this a whirl....1 chestnut, 1 xmas tree, 1 gold leaf, and (drumroll please) a Yellow Trumpet I had to quickly exit because my finger was twitching to hit that button again Overall I am very pleased with my results

 

I have to say this is a much more upgraded experience than the regular seedling event. I don't usually buy more than one or two during those events. This was much more productive. You may not get what you wanted the most, but if you choose carefully you can get trees that will be very tradable or giftable in the G&T.

I got a lot of Christmas trees and chestnut trees, expanding my prior inventory of one each. Also got the trumpet, gold leaf, and a couple rowans, of which I previously had none. Not bad overall.

Not just for Woody please! Post recipe in a forum where all who are interested can enjoy please.
