Feedback Mini Events: May 2016

I love that we can try for older rare wonder stables from previous editions, but I do think that when rare stables are converted to 'farm level' stables that can be purchased for CC that they should be removed. It is bad enough to get yellow workshops of products that we have trees for (cow and goat dairies, egg farms and apiaries) but to include the mouse too will make me not purchase the Pearl stables as the only one I want/need is the groundhog, but the Opal stables have quite a few that I would like.

I like that we can potentially win pink stables from the train and that we can try to recycle our 'extras' for the newer rare stables. I don't have a swan or otter on my 2nd farm and this will be a nice opportunity to try to get one without BB. I would like to see the textile mill, disguise shop and perfumery be included in Gift and Trade.

Edit: Since the stables and yellow workshops are results we get from normal wonder stables events, the cost should remain 15 BB and not 20.

 

I love the fact that wonder animals are now going to be available for Bahamarama, however if I've read and understand the FAQ's correctly the ONLY way to guarantee getting all 4 is to buy ALL 4 PACKS for (drumroll please).... 2520BB's!!!
This equates to approximately £60 GB = 75 Euro = $87 US!!! This is an ENORMOUS ask from BP. It also means that at the end of the event we would have 120 island stables/workshops to try and place... HOW are we supposed to do that when we barely have enough field space for 2 of each of the existing animals and workshops.

Wonder animals for the island is a great idea, daylight robbery to be able to guarantee getting the new animals is disgraceful. Add in all the leftover stables and you have the perfect example of a very good idea, VERY poorly executed.

A much better idea would have been to sell the packs as packs of 10 with 1 guaranteed wonder animal per pack and charge 210BB's per pack. This would still mean potentially having 40 surplus stalls/workshops, but at least it would be within reasonable costs for the game.

I have told chickadees in the past that this game is loads of fun, and you don't need to spend loads of RL money to be able to play! Looks as though I'll have to message them again to apologise, for BP making me out to be a liar!!

 

i do agree it is a hugh sum of cash
personly i dont understand why bring all 4 animals the same time in 4 different packages
on the farm they bring them one by one over the years

dont get me wrong i do want all of them but not for all costs
not shore myself how to deal with this
there is also a breeding event this month and i need also PF

 

I agree with what has been said about the wonder stables - great idea, but you're going to need DEEP pockets for this one. The other thing that gets me is basic and yellow workshops - just no, not at my level thankyou. I have plenty of tools so could build more than one myself and have 30 parrot feather trees so the workshop is no use to me and certainly not for 15BB. If the stables were 5BB, that's less of a hit to my pocket and a more acceptable risk IMHO.

 

If they didn't add all four animals to Baha at once, they would probably delay any "Wonder Stables" for Baha. Just think what would happen if the only thing you could get as a new player were one rare animal type, parrots and parrot feather workshops. As it is, newer players will probably have no problem getting the new rare stables without too much expense.

 

I am mostly holding off judgement for now, but have a couple of comments right off

First, I dislike that you have to wait twice for the mystery cargo. We already have to wait to get it, then we just get a mystery box and not an actual stable. This just seems an unnecessary extra step, particularly at a time when so many wonder pens are already being offered. Its not just the time, but it takes space to see what we get.

It does seem that the quantities of items you are offering is better. Specifically, you can get the cargo with just using yellow pens, which is what I think most older players want.

I agree with those above who said that offering 4 packs at once is a bit much. Maybe you could have offered a combined pack for fewer BB -- something like 800 or 1000 BB with a guarantee of 1 of each would have been much better. As said, no one really has use for 160 pens for Baha! I was fortunate to have the BBs stored up and saved, but it is a lot! If you like, you could offer that extra pack as a "once time only" deal and then offer the regular 40 + 1 guaranteed for additional (or instead, for those wanting to spend less).

I myself did not and will not get one of the pens that include the mouse. Its not because of the mouse, I just have enough of those "rare" pens already. I definitely understand that its because the pack is older. I suppose you could have redesigned it, offered an "upgraded" pack that would omit the mouse. If this happens again, I would suggest doing that. However, anyone concerned can just get a different pack, I guess.

Per the new Baha pens themselves -- I LOVE that we now have rare baha pens! Our regular fields are just getting too crowded, even though we all love the artistic designs, variety of new pens. I am with those who don't particularly care for the Tiger, but I also know that getting tigers "right" is hard. I am completely baffled by the vegetarien aspect. I had more or less expected goats or perhaps ducks to be part of the new feed. Since we now have neon pens, the production is roughly similar to plants (also, there is nothing to say you could not have 2 feed produced for one goat or some such). And, I would have liked to see an ant hill that provided more than one ant as a harvest and a relatively quick turn-around time (again, duplicating the benefit of crops 3-4 hours, maybe even as short as 2 and yielding 2-4 per pen). The current anteater feed just does not fit!

 

While I have the utmost respect for those opinions that prefer the reality of animals for feed...I am one of those who are delighted and relieved to be able to play a game that can still be part Fantasy, and feed carnivores veggies instead of blood and flesh. It's fun to put reality aside for a little while, at least that's the way I choose to see it. Others see it differently, and that's fine, too.
With respect for other viewpoints, I thank you BP for this fun and slightly silly part of the game.

Woody, I totally agree with you about having to wait twice to learn what our cargo might be!! IMHO, it is another ploy to get us to spend more BB's so we don't have to wait that unnecessary EXTRA time....and I admit that I spent them. Grudgingly. In protest, I will not buy as many stables as I usually do...and I will try to wait for the rest.

 

About the waiting period: Wonder stables are 5 hours, mystery cargo are 1+4 hours, so also 5 hours in total.

While it would be fun (and addictive) to have instant results from the train, the cargo is very good for mega EP day, and you can also choose to save it in your inventory if you want (until new colored stables are introduced for instance). Either way is fine with me - as long as the time on the train stays the same

Yes this is the feedback thread for mini events, general chit chat belongs in the either in Game related chit chat or the Gabfest.

 

A bit more on the feed -- The biggest problem is that the feed for these pens requires items for which there is already a demand. Peanuts are used in several quests and for craft products. Vanilla is used for several, etc. I would have preferred something with fewer uses already -- maybe cassava or zucchini, for example. HOWEVER, that would put a burden on newer players, since those statues are a ways along in the temple. Maybe a new crop?

 

Love the Baha wonder stables. Delighted with a pink camel and 3 /4 new animals when I only bought 10 - great odds. But I did not appreciate receiving basic workshops - this was not advertised in the game and therefore was not part of the contract I entered when purchasing the stables. Anyone who received them and doesn't want them should be offered compensation.

Well, the wait times were long for starters. And I traded 2 orange goat dairies and a few other things for the express train. I got an orange chicken coop.
How can I make this sound better? Okay, throw the chickens from the train, ban anything that a person can buy in in the shop from the train.
This is advertised as a special mini event that doesn't happen very often. I was expecting a better standard.

 

I bought the pack to guarantee getting the tiger and got at least 2 each of the new Baha animals and some pink stables as well.

 

WAIT... you mean real trees don't give cow's milk and turkeys don't make paint pallettes????
Actually, I don't disagree.. I just was really hoping for ants. And, would not mind another use for goats.

Sorry, I was tired... I have been making quite a bit of it, should know better... lol

 

I have gone right off of peanut butter reading that it's made from elephants in farmerama

And I for one ...Certainly would NOT pay £60 for these packages .... and have certainly gone off of buying packages for 15BB ... I bought a topaz and got a camel carpet factory ... Which I could have got at the workshop for
15 shovels ...15 hammers...150 wood boards... 2 pairs of scissors and not have spent 15BB to get it ..have 4 of them already.

SO even that wasn't such a good deal ..... BUT had a feeling that i wouldn't be getting any new animal in that package and was proved to be right

So I have learnt a few lessons.... I can do without these animals... they aren't that special and certainly aren't worth that amount of money to me

I can go out and buy a new dress with that £60

 

Love, love, LVE this version of the San Gigantica Express! I never really got that into it before, but am totally tickled with my results from this one, to the extent that I've spent several million CC buying camels and yellow monkeys to keep getting more, lol, and have even splurged on a small handful of rocket rides. Thank you for making the odds of getting good pens high enough not to be a constant disappointment of average and undesirable pens and workshops, and the price of the cargo affordable. I especially love that we get the fun of mystery stables without having to spend BB. I understand that the game needs to make money to be able to continue, and have no problem with that, it's just nice for those who can't spend real money on the game to be able to get some of the usually pricey goodies for free or even just CCs once in a while.

I'm also pleased, overall, with the first Baha mystery stables. I love the new pens, and am happy with the upgrades as well. I do think it is a bit cheap to put regular production pens and classic stables in the results, tho - a parrot feather factory? Really? Kind of makes one feel a bit ripped off to spend BBs only to get something like that. All in all, tho, I hope to see another Baha mystery stable event in the future (sans basics and classics), and add my voice to those requesting a tree Express.

 

This was my 1st Train event I Loved the graphics,the train pulling into the station, all very cute and easy to load and figure out. I would have liked not waiting so long to
find out the results I thought it a fun way to get rid of things you no longer have use for, and maybe to get an up grade, or something new and totally different! I too am happy for the most part with my results and if I wasn't I sent it off on the train again!
I Love the new Baha pens, I just wish they were more like 10BB's each so I could have bought more! And PLEASE BP maybe in the NEAR FUTURE you could do a Tree Express, I have never done one of those either. Thanks again for the fun week-end!
