One click planting and watering

If this isn't something new just chalk it up to my ignorance, but maybe it will help others who haven't discovered it.

I just discovered that if you click on the bottom border of the planting symbol a box appears below it with a lightning symbol in it. Click on the lightning box and it takes you to your plant selection. Click on the plant you want to plant and the screen turns green, except for the unplanted plots of land. Then all it takes is a single click on each plot to plant your seeds. It is sooo much easier. Watering works the same way. In the middle of the top bar it shows how many seeds, or how much water you have left. I just wish harvesting and applying manure would both work the same way. For us manual farmers it reduces the time and effort tremendously! It makes the game much more enjoyable.

Please make harvesting and applying manure the same way BP. It makes the game much less work and much more fun. Thank you.

If it's always been this way, just list me under ignorant farmers. Maybe this will help some who haven't discovered it yet.

As you find things, go a new way share it, an email buddy that loves to read just not get on tells me they log on and read Mir's mistake of the day thread right off, she learned to play the game from our admitted crash and burns.

Thank you Willow and mingling. Does anybody know how long it has been that way and are there any other shortcuts I don't know about? If there are I would appreciate someone telling me about them and I'm sure others would appreciate it too.

Doc425, that would be a great addition if we could harvest and add manure that way too!! I don't mind planting or watering manually (too much), but I hate harvesting because the box doesn't always come in contact with the clicker correctly toward the edge of the screen which causes me to always click on an empty plot of land bringing up the seeds... URGGHHH

I'm not sure of any other shortcuts either, but Ill be keeping an eye on this thread to find out

 

I must admit... when the screen going green for the first times.. I thought I had made a mistake, pressed the escape key and started planting field by field again double clicking each field . And at the edge of the screen hit the supergrow by mistake!!! What a waste on lettuce

But found out the shortcut a bit later and I don't wanna miss it any more!!

Harvesting and manure application in this way would be fab.

Oh, cool. I was try'in to remember the name of the thread, well it's here....
Just pass'in it on, when you use the lighting bolt for the whole field you can also use it as a field checker.
Ming does not have the harvester, and for me I sometimes miss a stall cause that little done sign is hiding behind a tree or something from another stall.. I leave a square on a dumb crop say oats that way when I go to check if anything ready to harvest I can get the oat replant it and before watering I get the lighting bolt water sign and it goes to the screen over the field, you can look easier and quicker for the done sign, also helps if doing whole field to check if the watering takes I lost count at the times I know I watered but come back and a stall is missed.
Most likely just a me needing this type of help thing, but thought I would pass on.

 

When it was first introduced you couldn't water crops and stables at the same time. If you clicked to water your plants you couldn't water your pens. A lot of players complained and then we were able to water both, it was the same water so there was no problem changing it.
I would also like to be able to put manure, SSG or SG this way
