Any One having Issues with New Font

Hi, I have been reading Postings that some of you having Issues with New Fonts. As I made an Interesting Discovery what is causing This.

I am computer literate as some of you know that I am, some of you do not know this. I did some research and reading posting. Also did an Evaluation on a Hunch that, I suppected Causing this New Font Problem.

Please Post here as I am here to help.

I have Found the Solution to The Problem can either IGM to Ajjg1966 or Post here. I will update here if many of you are effected or just a few of you ?

 

I feel like I've seen a lot of complaints about this. I for one do not agree with the new font in game as it does put more stress on my eyes.

I think there is quite a few of us being bothered by this problem. I have tried re-setting the font size in my chrome settings and it still did not affect the game. I have my 2nd farm running on Firefox and the font is fine...so it is chrome/adobe related, and the game team is aware.
If you have a fix please post it and I will try....anything...this is driving me crazy.

 

Reason for New Font Problem

The New Font Problem is related to a Change Made by Farmerama Game Developers. But Unfortunately it is a Flash Based Game, as you need Flash Supporting Browser or Flash Supporting Plugin to Access This Game, Many Browsers not longer support Adobe Flash, Plus Many Browsers no longer support NPAPI Plug Ins Such as Chrome.

The reason for this they are considered a security risk. Flash, Silverlight, Java Script. Chrome has it own Flash called Pepper Flash, which enable us to play this Game.


Solution

Remember we use to have a Browser Called Internet Explorer by Microsoft. Well They have a New Browser Called Edge, But you can only use Edge Browser from using Windows 10.

Any One who has Windows 7/8 will need to upgrade your Windows Operation System to Windows 10 Which Includes Edge Browser you will see huge Difference when Sign In and Play Farmerama

Do you know this? Couldn't it be a problem related to the flash player in the newest Chrome update?

On one computer I use I have not updated Chrome and everything is fine.

On the other computer I updated Chrome and the font is much thinner. I can still use Internet Explorer (have Windows 7 here) and everything is fine. Firefox would presumably also be fine, haven't tried. So I don't understand why you would recommend to upgrade to Windows 10.

 

I am confused enough, I work on same laptop, 2 browsers fox is fine chrome has the thin font. windows 7 used.
I am waiting till the "fix/batch,add-on thingie" comes out for windows 7. Not updating any time soon.

 

The one Mods Responded to farmer has problem with small font that Game Team did change the Font, The Problem with Chrome is their use of Pepper Flash. As it is not advisable not to upgrade Chrome as we need updates to ensure Chrome
is 100% Free From Virues and other plug ins used in conjunction with Chrome. Not to mention makes it more vulnerable to Security Risks.....Also at times it is get slow or causes glitches. That the Whole Reason Why we need to do updates when they become available

Mingling Chrome using Pepper Flash is causing a problem withdrawn support to all NPAPI Plug Ins, But you can either still use Firefox or Internet Explorer but Internet Explorer has withdrawn support for NPAPI but uses FireBreath to support NPAPI Plug Ins

But there is uncertainty remaining Browsers will continue to support NPAPI in very near Future. This is Reason to upgrade to Windows 10 as Edge Browsers is much more easier to read compared to Firefox or Opera or Explorer. It seems to preforms better too. That my View anyway.

Thanks for your input Mooboy. I have hesitated in updating to Windows 10....just so used to things the way they are. But it is something to consider.

 

i am not upgrading my entire windows system, just so my lettering in farmerama will work in chrome! that is rediculous. Thank you for finding a solution though for those who will use it.

I am just bummed that I can't solve it without having to upgrade to an operating system I do not want to use. (same goes for other browsers)

 

I've always waited for batch thingies, like instead of doing the battery remove/ drain/thingie look it fix itself.
I have never done an upgrade, planned on running 7 into the ground, Guess it's time to learn what I have to do to save my comp. goodies and just do it. I miss my comp. guru, may he R.I.P.
If they do something they should support it always! Heck, my off line comp. for graphics still runs XP there are all types of instead of using that do this stuff for that one just got to look, them brushes and stuff I could never let go.

Thanks Mooboy for clarifying this. I have been delaying the inevitable and know that I need to upgrade to Windows 10. Luckily my system allows for an upgrade, I have a friend and her system does not allow the upgrade. It makes me feel bad for my friends who can not afford a new computer and whose computers do not allow for a Windows 10 upgrade. So.....anyway.

Upgrading to windows 10 doesn't fix the font problem in chrome anyway...

 

It looks like Chrome is out for now Mir85 and I like Chrome myself. It looks like The Edge is the browser for now.... that supports the game. Unless I am reading all of the responses wrong? Please let me know if I got that right~it's early here and I am just now having my morning tea.

 

If you have windows 7 for instance, you could use internet explorer instead. Or another browser like firefox.

 

I am not having a font issue, but have had other issues. I use firefox. Any idea if that might be causing the problem?

Edit. I have windows 10 and use FireFox as my browser. I do not have Edge

 

Hate tech stuff, got a mouth to read this stuff, but for some we have an option, try 10 if no likie go back to 7, upgrade free. Only 2026 web pages to read to get all the pro and cons.... now where did I put them blank cd's for the recovery.......
