Ahhh, ok, so no way to count anything. Just hoped I could do it on event things not raid my barn. Thank-you Mir.

Buying tree fruit to donate at the ridiculous prices being offered is not a good strategy.

I strongly suggest working from ones desired rewards backwards to what is needed. You will be surprised at how much a farm can produce. Even buying trees in order to produce is sounder logic than a one time purchase to dump. The prices are too high for what is in barns and barns DO have lots of tree fruit.

If one chooses to purchase then purchase on the basis of a market to EV ratio and not just the price. Any ccs spent will go further.

For those with other objectives which includes the Harvest Hoedown: Careful thought should be given to WHAT NOT TO DONATE.

Careful, the rip off artists are out in record number.

I haven't been able to participate in an event for a while due to my work sched, and I was really looking forward to this one. However, I'm not sure it's worth emptying out my barn ... I may just sell some overage stock instead. I really wanted some of those new trees, but I guess I will give this one a pass.

    Good luck everyone! :)

ming farm is not playing this event at all. <Please no gifts needed during this event here>

100keltic likes new trees and will clear island and two main farm lands to do trees, but I remember the taste of selling to the HH, and I will hoard my barn inventory for that, it was too de-lish to not try to sell more at that time!
< I will post in the fruit thread when I got 1 of all 4 trees here so my great buds can then send gifts elsewhere>

And here I thought this would be an easy event:p. All this math is making my spots hurt:wuerg:. One question I have that I'm uncertain of is, can we start to donate to one size basket, then switch to another, or once we start on one size, we have to stay with it until we finish that quest? I admit, I find this one a bit befuzzling:oops:. I was glad, however, to see what I think are reasonable costs in star coins for both the trees and the misc. items, unlike the soccer event. broke brought up the one thing that immediately entered my mind when I saw the FAQs and this thread, and that's the Harvest Hoedown. Anyone with plans to participate in it needs to keep in mind that it will occur in roughly 4 months, and therefore assess whether they can afford to empty stores meant for that to progress in this event, in hopes of having time to restock. And ming's point was well taken, there is always the financial gain side to be considered too;). All that aside, I'm not sure what I will do, except I do know I am in hopes of getting all the trees, preferably several of each, and the majority of the misc. items.

(it just dawned on me, this will really affect the feed market too.o_O Better make sure have enough milled for all hungry critters...)

go to buy some maple fruit before it rise to rocket, a farmer sold lots at 500/offer, @250Cc,
I buy rhem all, as the price is better than the almond.
another farmer sold one lot of 9999 at 280Cc, that's aroind 2.8M CC,
I had the CC, just struggle should I need to buy this qty. As I do not know how many
drops I could got from my trees. Most important, Do I want to torn all my field into [trees] !

Thanks Mir. I think I will follow your plan. My head was going round and round trying to figure out the least expensive way.

Will having more than one set of trees be useful ? Since everyone can get one of each tree by putting in a little effort, will their fruits fetch good CCs? If not what's the point in purchasing more than 2 or 3 set. I am confused and I am asking this because I do not know whether I should go for more than 2 sets of trees or not ? Is emptying the barn worth it ?

The problem with this question is that we don't know what the future will hold. Will one tree really be enough to complete future quests. The value of any given item, in this case tree fruit, is really determined by the quantity and frequency it will show up in quests, events, or feeds. We really don't know. So we have to ask ourselves. Are these tree's worth the 2.1 million in EV?

Some could say the ability to trade the tree's at a later date, when they are a bit more rare, once people have moved on from the game, and new players have joined the game. Even then...it's all speculation.

Thanks a lot, Decree. :) Guess I will decide whether to go for more than 2 sets at the time of the event.

To the megas I think it's sweet, four new trees for a steal! 10 star coins nice!

One never knows if this push on trees will mean something. Always best to be sure, get em if you have the means. As for me, not ready as if I go for more than one set I will feel it big time, do I want more than one of each, yeah I do, three of each tree would be ideal, just with everything I still need not worth the bite it would take out of my barn.
I will sit on the sideline and yell yeah for every bunch of 4 trees find a new farm home.

I was just figuring out which trees to plant, that would give me the max. output for the EV.
I placed all of my: Cork Trees, XXL Maple Almonds & Olives, and other Special Tree XXL trees. Then I figured out the hourly rate for regular Maple Tree, which is 170EV/20hours comes out to a factor of 8.5 (EV per hour) and for instance a XXL tree that gives 120EV/12 hours gives 12 EV per hour or the XXL Mulbury give 105EV/12 equals 8.75 Therefore it is better for me to place the XXL trees that have 105 EV and higher instead of the regular Maple Trees.

Once I run out of the XXL, I will plant the high value XL trees, then regular Maple/Almond/Olive Trees, until the current event ends Since I need a lot of drops now.

We don't even know if we will be able to trade them. A couple of other trees that were given as event rewards (tilia & cork) has so far not been tradeable. This might be the only chance in a long time to get the trees...
I am quite sure we can switch between the different sized baskets as much as we want. Since we can don an unlimited number of each, we would otherwise be stuck at only size...

Thanks Mir, that will make it a little easier to progress I think:). I was curious, I have had all my cork trees out since they were introduced however long ago, never removing them that I remember, and never having bought any, I looked in inventory and have 34,221 cork (total EV of 5,612,244). Doesn't seem like much, really, considering they've been out for a year now (found them in last June's events).:p

Hi I was wondering what BP really considers a fruit tree . You can't eat cork , pine or Dogwood ( great
for drops) Will we only be able to donate fruits that are considered edible?

    Hi happy:)
Anything that is listed in your barn as fruit will be eligible for donation. This is the time to pull off production trees because even though they are trees, they are products and not fruit. Everything else from trees is considered fruit according to BP.

Thanks to Mir's figures (thank you!) I have done some careful re-figuring, and I think that I can now go for the misc prizes + 2 trees option, simply by selling off piles of accumulated oranges, angel's trumpets, and maple sap. That option will make me very happy, and I can still carefully choose what to sell on an already inflated market.

    :) :) :)

I understand that the products won't be applicable to the donations, but will the trees still (possibly) give drops?
