    Hi Meba.

I would think that many will not finish their desired objectives with a single ball. Upper level players will use barn stocks of roses and carnations. Barns are full of them and both have been out of line with the rest of higher level crops for a few years now.

now all those tempting questions make me hard to decide again..

i was thinking about donating. but now all the prices are going havoc, n it's just sooo tempting to sell. but if i sell to buy another to donate, i'd be lucky if i could find something cheaper ratio-wise at this time..

oh, about the gift offer.. thank u sooo much, i really appreciate the offer.. :inlove: but i'll be fine, i still can manage tho.. ;)

p.s. yepp.. i've been growing corn n sorghum since before. but i can't find the crop with the low market value to EV ratio to buy. may be a hint??? (i'll go check ur lettuce market thread, i think it's appropriate to discuss this matter there??)

Deciding what to sell and what to donate seems to change by the hour. Every event seems to be causing larger price fluctuations in my market compared to a year ago. I prefer using a simple spreadsheet, which calculates the ratios. I have a huge inventory of carnations, as that is my go to crop for event drops, so that is probably what I will toss in this black hole.

After some calculation about EV, I found the best EV to growth time to be carrot, lettuce, wheat and Roses. In that order. I am close to running out of chicken feed, so will see the drop ratio for the carrots and if that is okay-ish I might grow carrots to see if I can get something in this quest.

Thanks for the calculation Moraine. I have lots of roses & carnations. But will try to grow crops and do the quest.

You have put him in [IMG]. It won't do [IMG]It won't do at all. Bring him down to ground. What you have to say is "broke is a bad influence" but all the while you should be minting money by following his suggestions strategies etc. That's what we do. Whenever we go broke by investing our CCs, we will say "Thanks to broke. We are broke." xD:D:p

Aside: broke is a good influence. But don't tell him so.xD:p It won't do at all :pxD

All the best, Banjoman. You will do it.:)

Makes you wonder why they are clearing our barns out with these events... for what reason?
I can't see the reason for it
Maybe we shouldn't do these events ;) and play them at their own game

Well i for one... wont be letting them get into my pocket

Liked playing the football game ...not at that price i wont be Geez..... 17500 value worth for each ball:wuerg:

    Hi Broke
I don't think I said that anybody would :) seems you cannot even get a sticker from playing one ball - oh what a shame...or not :p
Anyway my barn is full and I want the stars if I can figure out how to play ball on my iPad. Not sure how to do it yet....

Prices are skyrocketing on roses and carnations here - selling just a little and a whole lot of chicken feed - way over 400 now and only first day of the invaders! How nice!

Lol I think you better get used to it! BP is emptying our barns... and pockets haha
Surely they won't stop until they are satisfied.

Hmmm think I should be okay then. Checked my barn stocks and discovered I have........35,836 carnations!!!
I'm sure that's small fry to some of you but I was rather shocked to see I had so many! (and pleased obviously! ;))

The number of star coins possible to earn has dropped in this version of football fever. In the last version we could earn 3 to start the ball and then up to 6 for a total of 9 each round. This time you only earn 1 star coin to start and up to 4 for a total of 5. Overall reward prices have gone up too.

More to contribute, less coins and less prizes. Thank you for pointing this out, I missed it and now I am rethinking participating.

For those not wishing to empty the barn but still wanting to play the mini game, you can use 10 BBs to buy a round of play. Of course, that is if you have plenty of BBs or RM. :wuerg:

I'm planning to use some of my [IMG] , all locally produced and organic of course. Anyone for a Raspberry sherbet?

Thought I might save some for HH but I've decided to give that event a miss this year. Neither my barn nor bank balance is set up for the task, it's been an expensive spring.

Best of luck everyone with all these events!

OzoneRaia - may we call you O3? - my thought exactly.

But we have to keep in mind that the real hardcore players going for HH would ignore any ludicrous event like this one. Those market lions are still out and about :)

At the moment the lowest market to EV ratio is carnations followed by roses.

Even though the price of both have doubled in two hours, they are still the lowest. Both ratio are hovering around 1.05 here.

Take potatoes for example. Here the ratio is over 30. If one were to buy then it makes little sense to buy potatoes to donate. (Choice is limited by ones level in the game so some have fewer choices.) We cannot compare the absolute prices and they mean nothing other than one is higher or lower in price than the other...... no good. Now this is assuming one will buy.

If one wishes to grow then the choice is quite different. One will grow in order to get the most EV within the time one has to harvest. The grower has no concern with market price at all (initially) and that is the assumption. (Say one wants EV from tree fruit. One thought process is flawed if in 20 hours one can produce 170 EV tree fruit but chooses to produce a tree with 125 EV.) Growing crops on the basis of EV per minute has proven not so good if done in the long run but it is a choice.

Here is a problem I must solve:

I have both roses and carnations. Both were acquired at the same rates over time.
So if I had an equal number of each then it makes me no difference which to give.

    Actually:
    roses about 1,100,000
    carnations about 310,000

So which do I give? I am not planning to grow anything to give. And I did not grow any of the above crops so I am not sentimental behind them. I cannot sell all of either and I hope I can keep from selling any of either for a while (because I reasonably expect to get a better price and thus more profit as the new boxes with quests are worked on and because there often times is a gain due to simply to holding).

Some roses were acquired at a slightly lower rate initially because I began acquiring earlier than carnations. (By the time the farm had access to carnations it had raised the buy rate.) This farm had access to roses before carnations as all do.

Either way I will give up profit from sales. I wish to do the event so profit does not matter. The choice will be to submit roses. (And this is just what BP expects higher level farmers to do.)

An easy way to see this concept

Say you have access to only the first 5 crops. Decide what you would do.

Works exactly the same way if one has access to 50 crops.

Hatzeva....Any Reason why you have been Hoarding Raspberries 245190 of Them. Are you intend to use them for donations or sell them ?

I actually Gave the Top 1000 a Miss last Year 2015 as The Rewards was not as Great as for HH 2014 was the best one so far. Just Pray and Hope HH will be better this year.

As for Those Hoarding for HH. Fruits are always the Best as I am Reaping as Many Tropical Fruits as i can as they give the best Exchange Rate on Fruits.

But Tropical Crops has the Worse Exchange Values for this Kind of Event. They are the Worse Crops to Hoard. As for the Main Farm that Carnations and Roses have the Best Exchange Values but we must not Forget Crop Squares as they gives best Crop Exchange Values using Refinements !!

The Football Mini Game Certainly helps with Woods as we cannot get Enough Woods, Roof Tiles and Bricks. I will be play many of these Mini Games as I got loads of Crops in my Farm to use up anyway as I rather have Stocks of Fruit as they are cheaper higher Exchange value than Crops.

We have refinements as there is not any good Refinements to Boost Drops of Woods, Roof Tiles and Bricks. But Playing the Mini Game gives you Woods, Roof Tiles and Bricks more than you would get from an XL Tool Box, Also Each XL Tool Box cost only 15 Star Coins From Event Store Too. This is Great Event for Those Short on Tools that are needed for New Tools Donations Quests. Tools also help us make Production Pens we can either use or Trade and Barter and Gift Event Good Luck ;)xD

Hatzeva - I would love some of that raspberry sherbet - yummy!:inlove:

Roses will be used at my farm to go for the items I want, as carnations have a better selling price.

Mooboy has well illustrated the value offered in tools; even those not interested in building storage facilities can enjoy the tool bonus for other items.:) Best of luck to all in acquiring the items you want!

@hatzeva raspberries are my donation of choice too! I have over 55k because I do not have the flower CR (missing Singing Tulip & Jolly Lilly).-.-
Refined raspberries are my overnight crop of choice when going for event drops, especially when poo is in great demand. Roses are at over 22k, daytime event drop crop.:p
    So 131 raspberries (131 EV) + 3 roses (113 EV) = 17,500 needed donation! ;)

FOCD pushed me to toss in to the black hole for the stables and trees, but good grief, they were stupidly expensive. Barn doors are closed tight now, all done with this one.
