I just started the event!
Well I have 500 snails and I started breeding. 22 hours of the BB are left so I think I am good.
What rewards do you think I should aim for?

Is anyone breeding the extra nublon snails to get them converted into normal coloured animals or is it not worth it? I don't know what to do, is anyone else using them up or is it pointless?

 

Purple snails are falling a the drop of a hat...
I've finished the event, yes, all done with that
but purple things keep arriving! - an incoming wave
like a persistent neighbour, who won't behave

I've traded my stalls for trees and crops
trying to stem this avalanche of drops!
But they keep a-coming on every field
Please help me! I'm drowning! decrease their Yield !

I close my eyes when harvesting, now
but they appear in my dreams, turning into That Cow
Oh please stop them, if you have the powers
Cause they still here for another 85 hours !!!

fifi- I had just enough PF to do the event on both farms, but I probably would not keep breeding them even if I had more just because PF is too hard to come by and I like to breed for a specific purpose/specific animal. However, I understand the flip side of using PF to gain breeding stock without having to use base animals. Just not for me this time....

 

This farm gave only the drops to the event.
Bred about 15 times. (conservatively broke)
Going to hold for the exchange.
My logic is

• I will take any breeding animal and have only pf in it.
• Animals are needed for each of the new boxes
• I would expect BP to use the exchange as part of marketing the drill
• Therefore my expectation is a decent breeding animal having a good EV as well as competitive in the market.
• The breeding market is not nearly finished changing.

We'll see. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Now I want nothing ventured and everything gained from the breeding animal.

I'm always broke anyway so it won't matter.

Few wish to try and comprehend what is happening to the game including the market with regard to the boxes! Animals are needed to upgrade. Breeding animals and mainland farm animals may be used. The breeding animals require normal animals and pf. BP sell pf! The animals are being dumped into the quests.

Big breeders know what is happening. Why would someone think a breeder would pay over 5,000 ccs for beaver? And not one, 1,000 . Cuckoos, lots of 100 at over 3,500! I cannot clear the market of enough monkeys and pigs and sell for over 2,900.

 

I don't plan to breed any extra Nublons. First, the skips weren't out of the ordinary. Second, breeding Nublons hard locks you into not getting any exceptional skips. Third, other animals have a better barn value when bred.

If doing some extra breeding during this BBD is what you really want to do I suggest picking an animal and try for Neon/Pink stable upgrade animals. Or, if trade-in value is what you're after, I suggest Camels, Dogs, Beavers, and Chameleons (in that order) as their levels 1-3 of breeds tend to do better in trade than other animals after breeding. So for the same amount of PF you could be improving your overall barn value by quite a bit more.

 

At the end, the trade ins are randomly awarded and in my market there is a huge price differential between the limited list of awards. Roasters are generally a third of the price of Wooly-snout Cuckoos for example. I won't be doing any further breeding of my Nublon extras.​

 

I have completed this event and activated the cloud row. I wish my alien cows could stay on the farm.

 

Love the aliens. Been gone, got back just in time to breed a few nublons in BBD. need more powerfeed now to finish. We'll see.

 

Finished the nublons with 860 left over ...did some of the football event and got what i wanted and finished my painting and am still sane
..just about

In the stables and trees got nothing new ...waiting for bahamas tree and stables to finish and hopefully have something new in those... but not holding my breath

Didn't have one skip in baby doomer for all that breeding
And as the left over Nublons will become random animals ... don't suppose i will be getting anything good from that either ...time will tell
And now i have got a cold tizz all i need to end a perfect weekend

Someone added me. It makes me wonder...who is randomly inviting me, or is there some neighbor pairing system that I'm unaware of?

 

I finished late yesterday but just checking in as I was out of pocket all day. I did not breed nublons past what was needed, as the animal exchanges are random and I prefer to choose where the PF is going. Would hate to spend extra PF and end up with chickens!
In the pen and tree prizes, only thing noteworthy was one chequer.
Decree, you shouldn't be surprised at the quick response - many people would jump at the chance to invite you as a neighbor!

Well, despite my protestations of stacked events, I participated anyway. It started as breeding the nublons so that I'd gain other breeded animals at events end. However, after the first small breeding I found I had almost everything I needed to finish the event. End result, I bit the bullet and finished the event. (yes I am hooked/addicted)


@Decree I see and appreciate your arguments against breeding the snails however, as I have almost all of my breeding FSQs still to do, AND I actually breed what I need as opposed to buying them I can see the value in breeding the snails for future animals in the swap. What ever I end up with will be a good investment in my book.


I did manage to get some good Cuckoo breeding done. I haven't decided if they're the next FSQ I'll be after, but there's a good many quests that call for them so the product will not go to waste.
