On Monday, 14 November, the moon will be the biggest and brightest it has been in more than 60 years. So long as the sky is clear of clouds, it should be a great time to get outside and gaze at it or take some photos.

It’s what is commonly called a “supermoon”, or technically a “perigee full moon” – a phenomenon that occurs when a full moon coincides with the moon being the closest it gets to the Earth on its orbit.

What makes this one special is that the moon is going to be even closer to the Earth than it normally gets, making it a tiny bit bigger than even your average supermoon.

Yes lets hope for clear skies. We have a low depression brewing in Bay of Bengal.

Its dusk now and while I was way home, I could see the clouds appear differently. Bright and it seemed like entrance to a castle in the cloud. Just like in cartoons and fairy tales. It was heavenly.

Cloudy here with rain in the forecast.

 

Cloud at the moment and more cloud later too. Will be dark in under 3 hours and the moon should rise. Where I live I can see the horizon when it is clear but don't hold out much hope for tonight.

 

It was a beautiful sight here in So. California, no clouds...
Having lost many of my family over the years, being able to see it as you did would have brought on tears of Joy.

It was bigger and brighter approximately in between 6:45pm and 7:15pm (I heard this from news).Exactly around that time I was on the terrace of my house and I was continuously watching it.Also,I took a lot of photos and selfies with it.Such a great time

Maybe we get a chance to see it again we we get old.

I have managed to stay so far and farmerama and the fellow players are one of the reasons that make me happy. You took selfies ! I thought I would ask my mother to take a photo of me and the moon. But I was tired. So left it out.
May be we will see it again and share it in future, if both the game and me survive.
