Picture Perfect strategy

Thanks a heap for your work in crunching the numbers. I truly appreciate it!

As you all well know, I'm working on the FSQs. To participate in this event would toss away the progress I've made thus far. It would not be a prudent use of my resources. I've never aspired to be a top farmer. I'm happy to scratch in the dirt and raise a few critters. So I'll sit this event out.

Thank you Clonahmon for crunching the numbers for us. I will try for cloud row..... certainly not the top 3000! Yikes.... I don't see great rewards, nothing outstanding for hardwork and determination, nevermind sleepless nights.

 

Does this mean we don't have to open the one with the padlock unless we are going for the top 3000 ?
So how do we get the cloud row ... or don't we get it ?
Don't think i am going to do this event

Have my seeds planted and now will have to try to have most of one type ready to cover as many fields as possible by tonight Drives me crazy with fields in different times I know many players have stopped posting here and have gone to another forum but I encourage players to still continue to post and talk about event strategy and how they are doing I will be most interested in how the drop rate is going to be since we only get them from the event crops. I'm doing the event, but I just can't bear to tear up my glade and rain forest to do it. Using main, meadow, and baha I can grow everything in about 10 harvests using CAC. If the drops are decent, I'll stick to this plan.
To the question about the cloud row-- It looks to me like anyone who completes the cloud row section is automatically entered in the top 3000, but you don't have to continue on. I plan to get the row, but that's it. I'll stop there.

Edit: Finishing the cloud row section automatically gives 150,000 ev toward the top 3000, but the rainbow room must still be opened to actually enter the top 3000.
Also, new prizes were just added to the top 3k.

 

Hey Julie, I made the rookie mistake of putting all three event plants on the same field. Now all my fields are patchwork quilts,
some still on 2x2's. I will not get this sorted for a few hours, unless I stop planting and have that second cup of coffee.
I have a whopping 6 drops for all this. I am going for the cloud row, too. That looks doable for my farm. Good luck to all...

 

Moving my three Howies, one from my lone magic tree and gifts from friends has so far resulted in 22 drops. Getting 300 drops over the event period just for the CR is going to be hard, let alone the additional 600 if you want to complete the Rainbow Room for the last giver (and possibly go for Top 3000). Wish there was a LL type rune for my Howies. Such a pain for so little result.

 

joanc123!! I have done that a few times and have said " would have thought you learned and remembered that after last time!" For me it's a 2nd cup of tea I haven't bothered to count my drops yet. I'm going to wait till I get full fields of event crops and take it from there

 

Making a stab at this event, but my heart is just not in Farmerama any longer. Does anyone know how far the global portion is? ( That might be a real indicator of how many people have left).

Just to remind everyone.... don't forget CAC (pumpkin jam if you have it).

Also, a quick note to newer players --- if you can be around right when harvest is "ripe" or shortly after, then Supergrow can do a LOT, BUT .. if you cannot, then use either normal plots or the comfort fields, whichever will leave the least "lag time" (that is, the least time between maturation and when you can come and harvest).

And.. no matter what, don't sweat it. Do what you can, each event gets easier.

 

I haven't left, I just haven't been able to get internet to work the last 3 weeks . Working on it, hope to have a permanent solution soon, but if I disappear, I'm still here in spirit.

Don't know how much I'll be able to complete, being as connection is so now-you-have-it, now-you-don't (mostly don't), but I'll do what I can of the main event and not worry about top 3000. I'm confused, tho, don't the top farmers get any special prizes, or did I miss something in the FAQ? Never mind, found it!

 

Drops are simply horrendous.

 

Julie I have not stopped posting. I'm doing my utmost to stay on topic. I sincerely hope this reply doesn't break the rules. Just wanted you to know I'm still here.

OH, and watching all you people planting combined with the fact I don't need 900 drops for the cloud row.... Making me think twice about my decision.

 

You are absolutely correct, woody!! I have been farming less than 4 months and have had fun in every event.

All you wonderful, adventurous, new farmers give it a go. Pick the strategy that works for your farm and have fun.

 

Hello farmers,

The balancing for the Top 1000 Giver item and rewards for the prize pools have been updated

 

I'm only getting, on average, 8 drops per field. Even if I dedicate 5 entire fields, at this rate, I'll have to be chained to my laptop to have any chance of completing the CR. I really hope they adjust the drop rate, otherwise this may be the very first HH I won't get to complete.

 

You are lucky have only had 15 silver dew using 4 howie donuts... three of those neighbours sent me

 

My Strategy is to wish all our EN forum players good luck as they try to make top 1000!

All I was doing was trying to encourage players to keep posting about how they are doing in the event By no means am I trying to start anything. It seems like drops are going to be hard for everyone I feel really bad for the newer players and those who don't have the trophies near capacity. Gonna be a lot of face time with the computer Usually when I don't have enough of one kind or time of event seeds I will fill it with a regular crop. But since we don't get drops from reg crops, I have been planting whatever event crop is available at the moment. Therefore my fields are a mixture of this and that

 

I have 8 Howies, I move them from field to field, so far between 8 and 13 drops per field.
How bad would it have been without the Howies?

(I got the Howies in Gift and Trade event.)

Edit: I think I'll have enough to do the quest

 

Just a little bit of strategy: I was using just comfort fields but realised I could do better if I use 2x2s and, if I have time, change to comforts overnight. I'm still messing with the figures but I got 26 drops from a field of Yellow Calla on comfort fields (I did zap it with supergrow so it would be ready this morning).

This farm has 106 Silverdews (6 of which were gifts, 3 from Magic Trees) so I am hoping to get the daily requirement - can only hope, eh!

Chevrefeuille has 136 Silverdews, 9 of which were gifts but this farm is using all five fields.
