Well, here goes with my calculations, feel free to amend them if I have made an error! The figures are for the completion of the grid.

Glowberries: 8700 plus those required for milling 35 Backpacks (8050) = Total 16,750

Thermos Flasks: 640 plus those required for milling 35 Backpacks (455) = Total 1,095

Backpacks: 35 (8050 Glowberries and 455 Thermos Flasks)

    Plus

    30 Cuckoos
    10 Cow's Milk
    80 Oranges
    10 Brown Pigs

SOS "Winter is Coming" Event Drop Items/Thermos Flasks

    Good luck everybody! ;)

Thanks you, illy. Steadily converting my fields to refined carnation with comfort fields, water and manure for drops.

Just like to add, we cannot plant in rainforest and we don't get drops in rainforest.
    Rainforest is excluded.

we don't get drops in rainforest.
    Rainforest is excluded.

I find we do get drop from Rainforest. FAQ has been changed.

Thank you illy1996 for the numbers. :)

o_OThat was what I thought. Hoped I was wrong.
This event is going to really tax my brain...:sleepy: The grid for cuckoos, cows milk, oranges and brown pigs shows up numerous times in the patterns at the bottom, 7 or 8. I plan to pick my 'most want' prizes that fall into my 'best chance' category and give it a go.
    Good luck to all... :D

You don't need to think too much, joanc123. Every lantern can be lit only once. Once lit they stay lit. So you need not confuse yourselves too much with the pattern. If you go for all. No problem. But if you want to skip some prize or lantern, mark them and do not do those lantern alone.

There are 4 giver items but no Row as reward for completing the event...I dunno if i am mistaken

They stay lit... Yea!! :D Thank you 12ss12, thank you! :)
Must remember to only farm when awake. So many possibilities now. :p

I think we do not have a cloud row for this event. Put the items in park or shipwrekbay.

Thanks for Starting This Thread and Useful Info Illy1996 ;)

I need to Strongly point out that the Rain Forest is Excluded from This Event. Which will not help us get any Drops of Thermos Flasks. Preparing for This Event Nor During this Event.

We need to Obtain 1095 Thermos Flasks using only 4 Fields. But it is Vital that Farmers need to prepare Farms for Good Drops of Thermos Flask when this Event Starts

An unprepare Farm will need 183 Thermos Flask Drops Daily only from 4 Fields and Gifts from Neighbours and Buddies Daily !!

Well Prepared Farm can get about just over 200 Thermos Flask on First Harvest. It always a good Strategy to have Well Prepared Farm which eases pressure on short fall of Event Drops !!

I am please no Cloud Row this Time. As many of my Cloud Row can be Idle often, Plus too many to Click. We can use these Givers to replace the ones in our Rain Forest or The Park that gives Less EP/TEP !!

    Lantern Unlocking Concept

There are a Total of 16 Lanterns to unlock. There is no particular order to unlock these Lanterns But to get All Four Givers you will need to unlock all 16 Lanterns.

Once you lit a Lantern it stays lit. But we do get a Additional Prize for Completing a Sequence or Pattern of Lanterns. But can only get 1 Sequence of Lanterns Lit to get the Combo Prize only once !!

Note: Lantern 13 does need 10 Brown Breeding Pigs. Buy them in the Market asap if you not got any...

    Good LUCK ;)

Thanks Mooboy for the drop rate calculation. I will not be playing the event for 3 days. So went and put a request in illy's SOS thread. Going with my family to my native place to attend my cousin's wedding. I am so happy. Going to meet everyone and roam a lot and enjoy myself very much. I am so happy thinking of it. Also a break from my office. What gives you great pleasure than bunking. xD

I too feel the need of EP givers for park. Those now give low EPS.
Yes play only when you are awake, else you might forget to activate CAC or check if CAC is running etc. Many including me have done that.:p

I am not doing this event. I've no room for any more givers. No cloud row, no play.:(

I will skip this event too. No cloud row. Only 5 PF against 10 brown pig. Plus I got burned out by last event, with too few drops. I was unable to finish and that was the first time in several years so I am taking a break. Good luck for those who go for it. I will sell compost to help you out. ;)

Sorry to ask a evtl. stupid question:
If Rainforest is completely excluded, this means, I could harvest the rainforest BEFORE the event starts without loosing any of the initial event drops?

Sitting here and biting my nails waiting for the event to start

    Good Luck everybody

My strategy is just to do a very small amount of crops mainly on Baha. I really don't want to take all my farm up for events any more. I will get plenty of drops from what I leave out so if any neighbours/friends are reading this please give to others. This goes for all my farms. Good luck everyone.

This is going to be interesting, some of these patterns look hard!!

Also, Im not at the level to plant carnations yet so Im already starting out at a disadvantage for drops. Hmmmm, what are these givers ya'll are talking about, do they give the drops?

    Thanks illy1996 for your calculations!!

I harvested my rainforest and I find that you get drops from them. I think the FAQ has been changed.

    ******edit******

shooger posted an update to the Event announcement that drops should not come from the Rainforest and the team is fixing it. I don't know if that means we get to keep the drops we currently have or if a script will run to remove them. I hope we get to keep them.
