ok. thank you. so far it is doing fine and i think part of the reason i'm back online is because of support. even though it took them a while they did seem to get it fixed. when ever it happened i couldn't post on the forum because i couldn't log in or i would have done that first. i just wish i hadn't lost my progress...

One of my farms was asked to complete a survey regarding the Malala Charity Event, which I did. While answering the survey questions I found the same problem that I find with all surveys -- there are only multiple choice or questions regarding a specific top but never a place to put your general comments regarding the event. I think the Malala Feedback Thread should have been closed after the surveys were completed so that I could have posted this there.

Basically my comments are as follows:
Asked about not being able to complete the event without purchasing a basket: I rated this very low because I felt that players should have been able to complete the event and that the basket(s) could have included the last of the items in the event (if Bigpoint did not want to provide them for all). There was some question when the event was finished -- in my opinion it is finished when all of the delivery requirements are met and when the pathway to the school is complete. This is also the case with the current Over the Hump Event -- it is not finished after level 7 as stated it is finished after the completion of both rounds (level 14). Maybe this should be Over the Hump-Dromedary and Over the Hump 2-Backtrian. It's pretty much the same but by making two events that run at the same time it would be a clear indication that you completed the event at Level 7 (should noted that the Level 9 Wonder Improvement for the crate should be included in the first event somehow--changing requirements maybe) and that Level 8 was actually Level 1 in a new event that lower level players probably could not finish or would have to purchase baskets, PF, etc. for.

Asked about how often to hold charity events and to whom: There are a lot of worthwhile charities out there but I think that if you are going to provide your players with a link to donate directly that they should have some assurance from Bigpoint that the charity has been investigated and not only valid (not a fraud) but that they are well established so that their records are protected against hacking and identify theft. In addition, although Bigpoint states that they give 100% to the charity I think that the charities should give at a minimum 90% of the funds with 10% or less to cover administrative costs and that their rating (% of funds vs admin. costs) should be posted in the forum when the event runs. This was actually one of my concerns with the Malala Event because it was a relatively new charity. I did buy a basket but went through Bigpoint - not directly to the charity. One of my other concerns was to whether donating supplies, etc. would just cause more problems because in some areas the donations would be hijacked and not end up with the intended recipients.

Also I think that since these are charity events the rewards should be nice but for someone who can't afford a basket it should not put them further behind other players in the game because they couldn't participate. So I guess what I am saying is that they should be nice but no Cloud Rows or items like the current Desert Wonder where you repeatedly get rewards. The prizes should be one time rewards.

I do not understand your Feedback. To what are you referring, the event, the charity, Feedback from someone else?
This is true in some areas nlm24, but not all. You can donate to local charities (food, clothing, toys, school supplies etc...) and to those that are secured and well established. :)

    Thank you for your response.
Your comments are what I stated that some may create problems. From news reports, etc. when there are natural disasters in foreign countries the charities there seem to have everything in hand and provide the relief to the needed recipients. In war torn areas though it can be "iffy" because of "donation hijackers" and also some may decide to make their living off the despair of others (not a new concept) and use them to get more donations/goods.

As stated, I did purchase a basket for the charity but in response to the survey I just wanted to express my concerns because it was a relatively new charity. The good point is that it is receiving worldwide attention so if abuse of the charity exists it will probably receive attention from one of the news agencies. There is also the potential problem with a new charity that computer hackers could get the information regarding donations made if the charities site isn't secure. Since all donations go to the charity that Bigpoint receives when I buy charity baskets I prefer going through Bigpoint instead of directly. There were quite a few posts in the Malala Event Feedback Thread stating the opposite that Bigpoint was keeping part of the money that they collected and that the people wanted to donate directly (which was possible through the link).

As far as the post by oldman49: He probably posted his comment in the wrong forum -- I think he is introducing himself and it should have been posted in "Player Introductions".

I've only been playing for about a week and have to say that it's been very frustrating to come home from a long day at the office and then, after running errands, doing chores and feeding the family, log on only to find out that every single seed I planted just the day before has been turned into weeds again. The 24 hours you allow is simply not enough, especially for those of us who are working or in school full time. I'm not sure when I'll get out of the office tomorrow, or if traffic will be bad, or if someone will ring me up, etc, so I'm debating on whether or not I should even bother spending yet more country coins on yet more seeds, and if I decide not to, then why would I log on at all tomorrow. I am loving this game, but please take into consideration that people have lives outside of it. Thanks for your time.

Hey Gemm - I'm a long-term player and I do know the frustration you are going through. I have wished for longer than 24 hours before crops turn into weeds many times. You may be voicing the reason that many new farmers are quitting the game. I hope BP listens to your feedback!!!!

The good news is that the 24 hours will work out much better for you as you level up and have access to longer growing crops. Right now you might want to leave just stables and trees in your fields during the day. Plant those very fast growing crops when you are at home and can keep up with harvesting. You will level up fairly quickly, especially if you can put in a few days of pretty intense farming! I promise you that this will get better!! I also hope BP will listen to your frustration as a new player and do something to make the situation better. If you enjoy the game otherwise, hang in there for a bit.

    Happy farming!

Thanks for your advice and assurance, Solatido. I'm definitely going to try your recommendations and try to stick with this game, because it is something that I really like diving into after a hectic real-life day. Off to plant some lettuce...

RE: Nublonian Batteries. I'm not sure if this is a feature or not but there is no place to reply to the recycl-o-mat either. But why did you remove them from our inventory? Unless this feature is now gone and never coming back, why take them? I was saving them for the next event, hoping it would be better, and now they are gone. To say this angered me is the understatement of the year. This is in no way directed at the mediators, who do an excellent job! But to the person/persons making these decisions. It's one bad decision after another. You need to listen to your customers and you are not. I am a long time player who is playing less and less and less. I have lost so much interest in this game over the changes you are making I am ready to walk away.

I apologize teddy.bear if this is in the wrong spot but I cannot find where to post this. If you know, please let me know and I will be happy to re-post it elsewhere.

    Manure Sales:

Whenever we have Events running the manure prices go from less than $1.00 to hundreds of dollars each. Because the Market is supposed to be based on the number of offers the events usually start out with a stockpile of manure (thousands of offers) and then quickly goes down to zero. When this happens the price raises based on the market offers which causes people to sell it in smaller increments (1-5 to start and then slowly building back up to the 25-50-100 lots). This is not only a pain to place the offers but a pain to purchase but I understand why it is done -- why sell your manure for $10.00 now when you can wait for it to increase in a short amount of time to $25 then $40 then $95 the astronomical prices?

I usually sell manure during events and I post mine in small increments at the start just to raise the price.

    New Item Sales:

This is also a problem whenever there is a new tree, pen or workshop offered. No-one wants to sell their Axolotl for $700.00 when they can wait a while and sell it for $60,000.00.

Is there anyway the Market can be re-vamped again to solve this problem? I know that Bigpoint made the original change to make it a "Dynamic Market" but these small offers are a pain.

Just wanted to voice my opinion because I know I can't be the only one who feels this way.

Farm orders need to be fixed. They are a complete waste to complete. You get much less money than you would get selling the ordered things and the EP is just pointless.

  16. It is true that 1s and 2s or even sometimes 10s are frustrating to click through; however, some players don't have enough cash to pay for the 10% commission and thus need to put on singles or small amounts; or, the new players don't have enough cash to buy more than 1 or 2. Do you want them precluded from the market?

I remember the previous market (and the fact that you had to calculate the Baha market differently because the currency was worth x10), and the top value for anything was 300ccs (eggs and milk). The dynamic markets works simply because it follows - literally - the dynamics of a particular market with thousands of players. Players sell manure for various reasons, like me when I'm not longer doing an event and just want to offload it, but only have maybe ten or 20 to sell.

Eventually the new tree fruits and animals / workshop products will climb in price, it's a case of patience, then probably they will start to drop as the players start to sell. Some items remain quite stable in prices and I haven't a clue why, but it is part of the fun. Over the years since they introduced the new dynamic market. I don't want a market that is controlled by some external feature, I like this way.

Please also remember there are about 40 different markets and most if not all will have different prices for the same items. Thus, manure may be 50cc on one market, but on another 95cc - dependent on who is selling what, but more importantly who is buying and what they are prepared to pay.

Do you really want BP to determine what you can sell your items for, with a minimum or maximum set price? I'm sure out of the millions of players, there are quite a few who find it frustrating having to wade through small orders, but remember this is a worldwide game, with hundreds of new players all the time - they need to be able to sell and buy in small amounts to get started.

Most others like me are happy the way it is with all the benefits as well as a few minor problems.

First - I am not trying to exclude new players from the market.

Second - even though there are different markets with different prices the problem remains the same. At the beginning of the events there are numerous offers of 1 each of manure.

I do realize that some players may be short on cc's but I don't think that is the reason for the numerous market offers of 1 each for manure. If you pay attention to the market during events you will notice that the offers of 1 each are always at the beginning of the event in order to increase the price while at the same time keeping some manure in inventory so that the player can make more money later. When the price increases sufficiently the amounts of the offers increase also - no more offers of 1 each.

As far as the offers of 10 each. 25 each, etc. they are not the problem and I myself sometimes continue to offer them during the event in case some people can't buy the 100 each quantity.

I don't necessarily want the prices of the market controlled but maybe if there was a starting price during events it might decrease the amount of 1 each offers. The market is already controlled somewhat because there is a limit to the number of offers and the maximum price you can charge.

As far as new players purchasing 1 or 2 of an item that might be true for animals, products, fruits but I don't think it applies to manure. When people buy manure they usually want to do their entire crop and not have to harvest it at different times because some plots have manure and some don't. If they are growing different crops they might not use manure on the whole field but if the entire field is only one crop they probably want manure for the entire field so that it can be harvested at the same time.

The new animal, tree fruit prices are not the major problem but were just mentioned because of the large discrepancy in prices from the first sale and a couple days later when it increases to be in the $10,000's.

I don't remember the survey that BP conducted where they asked if most players were happy (like you) with the way the market currently is. We both have our opinions but neither of us speak for everyone or most of us -- we only speak for ourselves.

  18. I wasn't referring to manure, except that it was mentioned, so I commented. Here's the solution to all the problems associated with manure shortages during an event - just take off the limit to how much people can store. It is that simple. We have no limits on products, produce, animals or crops - so why manure. It's a hang-over from when the game started I suspect.

Upping the limit via stars isn't solving the problem. I don't know how the system would stop players putting 1s up for sale - at what point and for what items do you apply it? I also don't know whether putting a minimum price on them would solve the problem. Nor if it would have to apply to all items put up for sale.

I can't comment on whether every single market has single item manure sales, because I don't know if they all do, or how many (do you know it's common across every one of the markets?). I have to say whenever I buy manure I've never seen any lots of 1s or 2s myself, though I only can say for the one I use. I haven't a clue why people do this, though you probably are right.

Regarding limiting number of sales, that was brought in to stop some players putting up a hundred or more individual sales, and players complained (a lot of them) that they had to wade through pages just to get through the single player sales to find a different amount or price.

I don't remember a survey about the market either, I don't know where you got that notion - not something I mentioned, so I'm assuming you're making a point of some kind.

That's me done on this subject and I'm sorry if my comments irritated or upset you, they weren't meant to be personally critical nor derogatory. I was merely responding to your points, that (and I know who others who feel the same as me) changing the market merely to solve your issue with manure may end up with BP making the situation worse.
