Gift & Trade

I love G & T...yet this one was so boring that I didnt even bother to check it as much as I use to...I am posting here because I cant post in player feedback...

My only true pleasure from G & T, currently, is giving to others...besides that...i dont look forward to it anymore...it use to be a real G & T and was exciting...now its humdrum at best.

There are some things that could/should/need to be changed, in my opinion.;

It would be nice that an EP givers value/points be posted with it. not just from me but someone who doesn't understand that "Santa's helpers" (for ex) is not a great trade...may trade for this and be unfairly duped. Thats a simple ex.

I think it would also be nice to limit the amount of certain things....like asking for 15 Kings of Loot or 20 something trees...is absurd.

This one, would be awesome...being able to pull something off my land to trade. Currently u either have to delete all your givers, for ex, or leave the trade, delete it and come back. So If i know I have a pink mouse on my land...i can click to exchange and be able to pull it from where it is....

Just some thoughts that may bring some life into the G & T...Thanks

 

I like your ideas and also think that it would be good if they got rid of some of the ridiculous trades posted -- an apple tree for whatever new pen/tree/EP that is allowed to be traded this time.

There are so many of these (pages and pages) that it really takes a long time when you are looking through the items to see what is available. The search function helps but you still run into these.

 

I absolutely agree with the above and one more thing. Currently each page, when browsing offers, contains I believe 10 offers but only half of them are visible, to see the rest we have to scroll the window down to the bottom.... on each page, that is annoying. I would like to see the window expanded, show us all the offers for that window... no scrolling.

 

Did u notice for this G&T, sometimes it was already scrolled to the bottom so u have to scroll up...I like your idea and also more than 10 on a page...

 

I like the idea of seeing how many items are needed for a trade. The problem I see with the expansion of offers per page will be the space / the font size. The more you want to see on one page, the smaller and trickier to read the font will get.
I would also suggest, that the birdhouses somehow should be tradable/giftable. My park is FULL of them, even after filling the cloudrow.
I would love to give them/parts of them to somebody who needs them.

 

Heaven please...I have way too many as well...in inventory because there are higher givers...

G&T needs to be better organized; it's all over the place. I searched and gave up looking for a pen. And we should be able to dump/sell/give away all the birdstones I've got so many and no room left it's not funny.

 

I agree with all your suggestions. Could they also maybe add a section where you put the things you really don't want, or need, up for 'free'... ie: you don't have to spend one of your vouchers to give it away and don't want anything in return... The person wanting/needing it, will have to use a voucher to get it (or not, if the developers are willing). There are quite a few things I would be more than willing to give away to newer players if this was possible.

I do agree that a few tweaks could improve it and hope BP considers it.

Either expand or limit the offers to a full window without having to scroll up/down. I think this should be easy because the market already does this. You can only see 6 listings at a time.

Yes, please allow us to trade the wheel items.

I do agree it is troublesome to find an offer and then have to search for the item on your farm and hope the offer is still there when you come back but the flip side to that is that it would also be troublesome if you traded something accidentally from your field. Many players put items on their fields to keep them safe from accidental trades.

 

All good ideas~G&T is one of the really good ones...but even G&T could be improved a bit.

I agree with PnP that pulling from a field could be dangerous (having deleted numerous things accidently)...but how about just adding a little 'plus' sign in the corner of the offer that's being paid when you click on it - if it is going to have to delete some pens/trees,etc. from the field?? The Plus sign could also have a Number with it indicating how many would need to be deleted from your fields only (after using up the ones in inventory). (You would need to click again to o.k./accept the offer.)

This way, not only could you stay right where you are - you would also get notified that it would be taken from your field (and how many) because you had insufficient ones in inventory. You would also be able to see if you even had enough to go through with the offer (green Plus for yes, red Plus for not enough).
All that just from a plus and a number.

This might be a little too complicated for the game team, but they are good at what they do, and, if this is not doable, I think they can come up with something similar at least.

 

I agree with all the above. I too love G&T - but, these days, mainly for the giving aspect. I love to hear from new/lower level players who receive something they had never thought possible!
I think the listing could be broken down into further categories too: upgrades, animals, production pens, etc.

There is one other change I would love to see: make all the licences the same so you could choose whether you used it as a gift, trade or merchant licence.

But I must also add that G&T has improved at least a thousand-fold since its conception. Anyone remember the first two or three?

I'd love more sorting since I might not know what I want, but I know what I do not want. And the tooltip of the EP on givers would be great.
