Moony Mayhem Strategy Thread

Thank you all for your numbers, time and strategies. I will give it my best shot. I hope I left a nice long crop on the field.
Thanks for the 2x1 heads up Mooboy, never enough SG to cover a field of 1x1. I have been hoarding though.
My post-it note is ready for the start of this event. Which buffs to use and a reminder to harvest Cloud Row, Before MM field.

 

Initial harvest: 13 maggots. This farm is the highest level (114), has full LL (30%) and received the lowest number of drops among my farms. I hope this is not an indicator of another event of worrying over drops.

 

I got 23 drops. Had duskshadow Bloom in my fields. Its a 8 hrs crop. What did you harvest, pnp ?

 

I also got 23 drops and had 5 tentacle willows with the duskshadow bloom. Lets hope the drops pick up.

 

I had 4 tentacle tree along with 3 dark apple tree + duskshadow bloom.

 

23 here, too. I had only glow mold (8hr) in 1x1s.

 

I had 6 pens (firefly lair) 4 apple, 5 tentacle willow trees and duskshadow crop and got 16 moony maggot drops!
Not what I was hoping for!

 

I only got 19 Moony Maggots from Drop Mixture of Dark Green Apples, Willow Tentacales and Glowmolds

I had 20 Dark Green Apple Trees and 22 Willow Trees, Rest were Glowmold

Just hope the Drops will improve during this event

 

I got 24 drops. Had about 10 trees, 3 stables and duskshadow planted.(1x1s) Good luck to all

 

Had 15 on initial harvest but that could be because I had moondew (06:00 crop out), also 3 darklight, and 4 trees out. Had 2 with my second harvest of 10 event plant (nuked) and rest lattice stinkhorn (01:00 plant, just water and manure)

EDIT:
Third harvest yielded 13 from 41 2x2 nuked crops (still have my darklight fireflies out). Now have 186 1x1 event crops growing (not nuked and only after I planted, I realised I forgot the TB... - had WI and FC for the SG), 2:53 growing time without TB so I'll only get one more harvest before bedtime here, let's see what that yields...

 

Terror bouquet and MM Magic cloud row don't seem to be affecting the event plant this time.

It happens once in a while.

No it does not affect them.

 

Oh, I wish I knew that before I activated them both. Didn't they used to work? New plan: I guess I'm farming for drops today and will go back to event crops when the CR runs out.

I too wasted a terror bouquet. But I did not activate the cloud row. You see it is night time here and in another 2 hrs its time to sleep. So I will activate mine tomorrow.

Event plants does not come under MM plants. That's why they are not working on them.

 

I also wasted cloud rows and terror bouquets. Just got caught up in it being a MM event instead of an event on the MM field.

 

TB & MM CR only effect spooky crops, Horror Vine is an event crop , so revised strategy - will only grow Horror Vine till I have enough (202) to plant entire MM field. Then change over to longest MM spooky crop for drops till TB & CR run out tomorrow. Plant event crop for 2 days, saving TB & CR buffs for final day of MM crops & hope this will generate enough drops & event crops.

I got 18 Moony Maggots from a field of Black Bat Flowers. Good luck everyone!

EDIT: 472 Horror Vine (Nuked, SSG, Watered & Manured) 44 2x2's & 5 1x2's after 10 2x2's initial planting. 39 Maggots with harvests & a few gifts. Now off to see how many drops for Glow Mold & Duskshadow Bloom alternately.

 

Now I'm glad I forgot the TB!! Thanks for letting us know it is not affecting the event plants, didn't even know that.

Bummer, first time I've used a TB, and I did 2 + pinkie pie. I was at work and didn't have the time to fiddle around on my tiny phone. I should have bought a phablet or a working brain

I have 26 maggots, with one event field harvested. Last time I had 6h crop, and I promised myself to always have 8h after that surprise-event.

Now the all important question: what's the best maggot lure ?
