Nellie, I am happy you have hit upon something good!! One thing though, one player had said sometimes it's better for drops if you can alternate between crops. I always plant different crops. Example: if tulips give me a good drop harvest, I will plant something diff then replant tulips. I have completed through step 11 and have half of the drops for step 12 & crops for step 13. So happy drops are being left by that Easter "Bunny"

As stated I use long time crops overnight. Depending on what time I go to bed and what time I want to be up and ready for the next day I carefully choose and plant my crops so all do end around the time I had my first coffee. Last night I used a half field with Rose Hips, a field with (refined) Begonia and a field with (refined) Leek. Along with a very few trees, 3 menageries and 2 storages filled with 12hrs plus animals and production pens on mainlands plus Habereno and Chayote, about 30 trees and 2 menageries on BAHA.
Didn't pay attention to how many drops I got from it in total but it was a decent amount!

Today my overnight crops will be different.. dunno what yet but already planted half a field with Rose Hips, ready at 10.30am tomorrow.

 

Thank you habalala have just got rose hips...so they might be worth trying out and see how those are

 

To those posting in the SOS: Thank you! Sometimes I have a gift or two spare after my gift rotation, and I am so happy that someone else needs it. Otherwise it feels it's going to waste, almost like I'm throwing money away. Feels so much better that someone can make use of it.

Update:
750 event plants to grow (magical glade sowing done).
500 drops to get... doable

not to bad a position I think.
Hope I will find some Easter eggs

I am also down to the last 2 steps Love the positive and "can do" attitude I set out my Baikai trees....fingers crossed for a Persian silk or Redwood bc I have all the others except XL & XXL Mt Juniper. Plenty of regs in those though. Got a Badger and XXl sorb for the first prizes

Have Now got the Harvester stuck on my screen ...i can't get rid of ...and just bought 2 lots of water one in bahamarama and one in the farm

I am doing pretty good, methinks. I need 786 but with a working weekend, little chance to do much. Still, I am quietly confident.

I am also on the threshold of level 100, "only" 300,000 plus a little EP to go! Perhaps I will have to wait till tomorrow. It seems like an eternity to get here!

By the way, does anybody else think the bunting around the tent looks like teeth?

WOW WOW WOW... that all I can say. The drops are soooo random!! I'm not even doing this event. I'm only level 76 this is a farm I don't pay special attention to and my animal trophy is only at 2% and on the field alone. I have the plots at 2x2s - 2x1s - 1x1s as they fall nothing special, planted artichokes because I just opened them (field full nothing else) a 17& 3/4 hour crop and NO buffs running. LOL ready for this... ... ...
42 drops. Unbelievable when I think of how we bust our butts with all 1x1s and all kinds of buffs and get under that. WOW WOWOW

EDIT I rushed to tell about the drops and had not completed my reaping...As I said no buffs anywhere and fields as they fill in 2x2 2x1 1x1
Green Meadow 48 drops
Main Field only 33 that with about 3/4s being trees, 2 peacocks, 2 orange donkey, 10 comfort fields with event crops and my crop trophy at 9%. SMH

 

Wow Illy - we'll all be congratulating you on reaching 100 before the end of the event! Wohoo! I still have 65M to get to 99.

Despite having some long work days (which means some down time between crops being ready and crops being harvested), I think I am on track to finish. With a little less than half of the event to go, I will have all the event crops with the next harvest. I need 1000 more drops, which I hope will come much faster with switching to long-growing crops in a few hours. I have been growing chayote on the island fields with a few trees and stables. Keeping my fingers crossed!

 

Illy, Yes! The bunting looks just like teeth! Its been bugging me since it first popped up (that and the deranged hamster).

I am all done with the crops, now to get mega drops.... only need 1006 ... to finish OMG! That is an awfully lot of drops and doubt if I will make it. If event runs true to form, the drops always get better toward the end of an event. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for this one! Happy Easter to you all and good luck & let's have fun with this! No stress!
